AT&T is an absolute nightmare. It is a brutal capitalist trap at its best. Absolutely no customer service. It's almost unbelievable. A bunch of Robo calls that lead nowhere and eventually just hang up on you. It is absolutely unbelievable. This company should be prosecuted by the government. Because there's no way that they're living up to their end of their contractual agreement. They give you nowhere to turn. I put you in front of hopeless workers who cannot help you because they don't have the tools to do so. And the company sanctions all of this. It's unbelievable that a company like this exist. Older customers do not sign up with AT&T there's no customer service it's impossible to navigate through the BS it ends nowhere in the phone hangs up
Customer Service Representative Bianca (id BA*******, Atlanta Office) not only solved our problems and explained everything we need but kept all of her promises to our complete satisfaction. It was just unbelievable for us - being the AT&T loyal customers for over 30 years! She is the best example for other employees.
We would like to thank her from the bottom of our hearts.

I so tired of companies like at&t internet TV and phone service two to three times a month or over 3 days my connections drop and fails to work because of old wiring and crossbow being to far using old wiring and this AT&T is not willing to invest in black neiborhood with fiber optics. Everybody around me has the same problems when they fix one person get fixed two others drops off.
The absolute worst! Spent 5 and a half hours on the phone only to lied to over and over again. All I wanted to do was open a new account a port my numbers over a get a new phone. THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE. STAY A WAY. Managers lie, sales people lie not worth it.
AT ALL COST AVOID AT&T! Whatever they tell you is false advertisement and they treat their customers horribly. My wires got knocked down by a UPS driver without me knowing and so I called to ask AT&T what was wrong, they ran a 2 min test and jumped to the conclusion that it was my motem. Then made me wait 3 days to get a new motem, then made me set it all up myself. Same issue was occurring. Then I kept trying to call back and would get a report answering machine that would have me go through multiple steps to then inform me that all the lines were busy and to try to call back later. Finally go through to speak to another human by threatening the robot with canceling my service. And then they transferred me 3 times asking me to repeat my issue every time, waisting an hour of my time, despite me telling them from the beginning to send a tech out to fix the problem-that it wasn't my motem. I then ask for a refund for the days I have no been without service but still paying for it, and she tells me she can't offer it because that's the first call I've made to seek assistance. Y'all I'm going to lose my $#*!.
We switched from another carrier due to high bills and bad customer service. When we started with AT&T, we notice no dropped calls, better customer service and easier bills to understand. The plans were much cheaper than our previous provider. We got some additional incentives for being military, and we sure do appreciate the recognizing our military. I'm not sure if we'll upgrade anything but I'm glad we're with this company. Thanks for great service. Keep up the good work.
After five years of miserable signal strength, we finally cut the cord on AT&T yesterday. Went through an hour-long process of deactivating and requesting a deactivation pin#. But after the call, at the new phone store, it was discovered that AT&T had put a hold on our account and locked the phones. Never was informed of this … and there was no reason. We own our two phones and also we were on auto-pay system with our credit card. So we couldn't use our new sim cards. After an hour-long call with AT&T (again) we were informed that it would take 3-5 days to release our hold. Meanwhile we had no phone use. And this is the night before Hurricane Ian hit us in Florida. Next day spent another hour on phone with "Carmen" in Philippines and she started case #Cm*******_*******. Then she PROMISED she would stay on the line as she transferred us to her Port Activation Center. But she DISCONNECTED us and the new CSR had no idea of what was going on. And his system wasn't able to get any information on our case, so I had to spend a long time getting him up to speed. He asked us for a phone # to call us back but since we had no phones, this was obviously a stupid request. We gave him Google voice. He finally called us back after 30 minutes, said our service was now with T-Mobile and he "could not expedite our ticket". We were told to wait for a "call-back" … but no ETA. Carmen had said it would take 3-5 days. Meanwhile the hurricane was bearing down on us! Five hours wasted with ATT up to then, and still no phone use. THIS IS WHY AT&T IS LOSING CUSTOMERS AND REVENUE!
I didn't cancel service with ATT until I was at the TMobile store. At that time, the ATT rep did never indicate any problem or outstanding bill, and provided the transition pin so I could end service. It wasn't until a few minutes afterwards that the TMobile store clerk found their SIM card would not work and ATT had put some lock on our (owned) phones! Very unprofessional, cruel, and heartless of ATT, and now I have invested a total of 7 hours on phone with them! Latest development, after claiming we owe another $84 (we don't), they disconnected our call. After a call-back, now the CSR is claiming that the reason one phone has outstanding bill is because it is an Android phone (!) Makes no sense, since we are on same phone line. THIS IS WHY AT&T IS LOSING CUSTOMERS AND REVENUE!
After another 40 minutes RJ took my money to pay for future service, $84, and then abruptly transferred me to mobility service international!
Total time spent with ATT past three days SO FAR six hours.
9-29-22. Customer loyalty Dept. Retention transferred me to Loyalty Dept. Lorraine took notes and said she would transfer me to another department … transferred me to a dead line. Called back and spoke with Diandrea––I had to start all over again! Was then transferred to Wireless Sales(!), had to explain everything again. Sheila there transferred me to Porting Dept. Denise was sympathetic, gave me NEW information on a website I need to access to fill out forms. Then she transferred me to Tech support to see if our case could be expedited. Was disconnected after 15 minutes, but never got a call-back from tech support! Had to call back, and spoke with Paz, went through story for 20th time, she kept me waiting for another 35 minutes. Promised to email me with update, but…
9-30-22: By 28 hours later, still no update, so I placed another call to ATT. This time, was able to reach (miracle!) "Dee" a senior support tech. He at first said I had to go into an ATT store (!), but then I told him I was disabled and we are in a hurricane zone, so he agreed to escalate the case and work it immediately. Kept waiting on hold another 20 minutes. Then Dee explained that the phone could not be released because there is a $1,000 charge on our account (!). I told him I had heard this a few times in past few days but then that was refuted immediately by ATT. Such a charge makes no sense, as we own our phones and were on Auto-Pay. A check on our account online showed zero balance. Dee transferred me to Collections dept.
Dominique in Collections said there was no outstanding balance on our account. I asked that she have a 3-way call with tech support and was transferred to Geena. Had to explain everything again.
The device unlock system never worked (see screen grab), and no one at company would explain. Turns out AT&T will not let go of our phone lock because prior owner of phone didn't pay his bill. We ended up having to buy a completely new phone from T-Mobile, but at least we don't have to deal with AT&T ever again! 8.5 hours on phone over four days WASTED!
Bad company, makes improper charges, they charge you for international calls that you didn't make, to sell you packages. Some of the attendants never solve anything and are rude.
Lies from the sales person to customer support to corporate stores. The time and energy i have spent over the phone and going to the store trying to get credit for the overcharges is invaluable
Do not make the mistake i did been lured with new phones
Keep you live happy go find another company with better reviews
Dont go dont waist your money & your time - i went to one branch in 16 state st chicago - the manager erica offfff want to sell regardless your position or situation, never inform you about how much it cost per month - you will chock when you go out the store then she will hidden & disapear to solve your issue - you will stay on hold from 8am-8pm minimum 3 days to find anyone can help you - this erica lier not proffessional not deserve to be a trinee
Everyone i know complain from thier service - be awayyyy its a sham company
ATT is advertising free phones. NOT WITHOUT READING FINE PRINT. I WAS OFFERED AN S22 free and 800 dollars for my s20. Nothing said when I asked Will this cover my payoff on my s20? Answer yes it will. I went through process paid 76.00 taxes and 100 up front on service. Agent said you will get phone faster picking it up at a store. I went to store where they informed me I was responsible for paying off s20 the 800 was covering my s22. Woa I said s22 is free s20 was to be paid for by att no she said. After another hour canceling everything I will not deal again w I th att. Beware also of I14 pro being free I said in store ok I want my free I 14. Lol it ain't free folks it's FALSE ADVERTISING
AT&t performed a bait and switch on me they're probably laughing all the way to the bank run don't use these people their scammers
Love to be a customer of att always great service followed with a smile nice to us always and fast and dependable thanks to the ladies at att in yazoo ms
I was sent to collections even though I paid in full and they told me that everything was fine. My credit was destroyed when I did everything I was supposed to do. This should be illegal and this type of business practice is predatory. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it either. Good luck getting in contact with them also because its next to impossible. Then when you do its always someone with horrible English that you cant understand.
If I would put minus 0 I could rate them that!
My experience with AT&T was a total nightmare.
In April 2021, I signed up for a family of 5 lines and traded n 3 iPhones in perfect condition and was promised to receive $700 for each phone. ATT& T made a mistake by messing up my phone order and sent us by mail different phones which are not what we ordered and delayed our trade in process because of their mistake.
They informed us that the trade in will need at least 4 bill cycles to kick in, I waited for months and months, it never showed in my credit nor did I receive cash reward for the sum I was promised. I have visited their office multiple times, called numerous times and was on the phone for 3 hours each call being tossed from one assistant to another like a ping pong ball left to chase them for 2 years, last call their supervisor apologised and told me he will send me a gift card for $2100 equivalent to the 3 traded in iPhone X max but after a month of waiting still the lies continue. He promised I will receive an email with details of fixing my issue but I never did.
They keep sending me large bills each month even though I paid off all my devices and canceled their service. Stay away from this joke of a company, all they do is lies and promises they never fulfil.
I need my gift card for $2100 or they give me 2 new iPhone 14 devices.
AT&T was not fair and made my life miserable with all the loops I kept jumping, running in circles and they never cared. All they cared about is their huge bills wanting them to be paid although they were totally fraudulent bills because I cancelled my service with them.
This company is the absolute worst when it comes to there phones, service and customer support. I signed with them in June. Only had to pay taxes that month. Phones were junk. I'd been complaining of them since 2 days after activation. They do nothing to help. Quoted me 1 price, then take nearly $100 more than quoted price. Then charge late fee, when payments were never late, always 6 days early. Bank acct proves never late as well as all months from June to Oct were paid. Also shows in Sept. They took double payment (making it 5 payments taken from me when its supposedto be only 4), which was reimbursed. Still shows 4 payments made june-sept. After reimbursement. But they argue and say by them reimbursing me, they never got their payment for Sept. But my bank acct. Proved otherwise. So, not only do they rip you off, but they are rude and liars. As well as giving you phones that are junk. I left them and found a better company, with better phones and customer services. So if you are thinking at&t? Then don't. Look for another company... unless you like being ripped off, having junk phones, and customer service reps being rude and not helpful.
ABSOLUTELY the worst phone company. If you see a sales person for AT&T promising that they can lower your monthly bill and save you a TON of run the other direction. They promised me that our line would be 45 dollars a month for our phones. We paid 200 for the initial taxes and fee which sucked but I understood. Than the bill comes $495 because of course you have to pay for 2 full months worth. I call and they said oh it was go way down the first 2 billing cycles will be a lot of money. Fine! So the next month comes $190! Not the number I wanted to see but they said it would be high and then we would see really cheap bills of $70 dollars a month to offset those costs. The next month $200 dollars. At this point I am pissed, Im not saving money if anything I have spent an extremely absurd amount of money on these damn phones in just the past 3 months. I call and all of a sudden everything switches. Oh well Ma'am you have this charge, and this charge, oh and you do have the Elite plan which also comes with this charge. So I am out all this money for a sub-par service, my monthly payments are $200 dollars a month no where to what they were "advertising". Save your time and money and please don't go to AT&T they are expensive and tack on all these hidden fees. The only way I was able to lower my bill $30 was to "lower" my plan. Avoid AT&T at all costs please. It is and was not worth it.
On Wednesday, September 27 I opened an account for TV and Internet service for the first time ever. Then I found out that I have a past due amount of $884.63 for an account someone opened back in 2015. I have never had an account with AT&T. So I called and they gave me the runaround making me go to stores and calling the fraud department. To only find out that they determine that it's not fraud. I cannot prove the account was not mine. So they want me to pay the $884.63. So I called back to find out what was the charges for. And they told me because I don't have the pass code information. They cannot give me any information from the account. I have services with AT&T on my wife's name. Since before they change their name from Cingular wireless to AT&T. With the same numbers that I have today. I left them because of bad customer service. And I forgot all about the bad customer service. And before I got my services activated now, they just remind me how bad their customer service has always been.
I had been with att for over 10 years with no problems until I decided to add my family to my plan. I was promised so much and none of it was true. From price all the way to the nonexistent 5g network that we were required to buy all new phones for. I have spent over 100 hours on the phone with them since march, and, even though I have cancelled my service, I still have had to spend at least an hour every day trying to get it all straightened out. The customer service structure is a joke. You can't actually get anything taken care of in the store, but you absolutely cannot trust what phone representatives say. I was told different prices for the same service 6 calls in a row. When I went to cancel my service I was required to go through their customer retention team and they absolutely do not care about retaining customers. They said that it was me who was wrong this whole time, and that it had nothing to do with att representatives. I'm done wasting my time attempting to get things done with them.
This is NOT the first time I have this frustration, instead, every time I talk to them, I have same frustration. They just transfer me to a random department each time after asking me the same questions again and again.
