I was sent to collections even though I paid in full and they told me that everything was fine. My credit was destroyed when I did everything I was supposed to do. This should be illegal and this type of business practice is predatory. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it either. Good luck getting in contact with them also because its next to impossible. Then when you do its always someone with horrible English that you cant understand.

AT&T are Thieves & Liars
September 30, 2022

If I would put minus 0 I could rate them that!
My experience with AT&T was a total nightmare.
In April 2021, I signed up for a family of 5 lines and traded n 3 iPhones in perfect condition and was promised to receive $700 for each phone. ATT& T made a mistake by messing up my phone order and sent us by mail different phones which are not what we ordered and delayed our trade in process because of their mistake.
They informed us that the trade in will need at least 4 bill cycles to kick in, I waited for months and months, it never showed in my credit nor did I receive cash reward for the sum I was promised. I have visited their office multiple times, called numerous times and was on the phone for 3 hours each call being tossed from one assistant to another like a ping pong ball left to chase them for 2 years, last call their supervisor apologised and told me he will send me a gift card for $2100 equivalent to the 3 traded in iPhone X max but after a month of waiting still the lies continue. He promised I will receive an email with details of fixing my issue but I never did.
They keep sending me large bills each month even though I paid off all my devices and canceled their service. Stay away from this joke of a company, all they do is lies and promises they never fulfil.
I need my gift card for $2100 or they give me 2 new iPhone 14 devices.
AT&T was not fair and made my life miserable with all the loops I kept jumping, running in circles and they never cared. All they cared about is their huge bills wanting them to be paid although they were totally fraudulent bills because I cancelled my service with them.

Thinking AT&T? Don't!
September 30, 2022

This company is the absolute worst when it comes to there phones, service and customer support. I signed with them in June. Only had to pay taxes that month. Phones were junk. I'd been complaining of them since 2 days after activation. They do nothing to help. Quoted me 1 price, then take nearly $100 more than quoted price. Then charge late fee, when payments were never late, always 6 days early. Bank acct proves never late as well as all months from June to Oct were paid. Also shows in Sept. They took double payment (making it 5 payments taken from me when its supposedto be only 4), which was reimbursed. Still shows 4 payments made june-sept. After reimbursement. But they argue and say by them reimbursing me, they never got their payment for Sept. But my bank acct. Proved otherwise. So, not only do they rip you off, but they are rude and liars. As well as giving you phones that are junk. I left them and found a better company, with better phones and customer services. So if you are thinking at&t? Then don't. Look for another company... unless you like being ripped off, having junk phones, and customer service reps being rude and not helpful.

ABSOLUTELY the worst phone company. If you see a sales person for AT&T promising that they can lower your monthly bill and save you a TON of run the other direction. They promised me that our line would be 45 dollars a month for our phones. We paid 200 for the initial taxes and fee which sucked but I understood. Than the bill comes $495 because of course you have to pay for 2 full months worth. I call and they said oh it was go way down the first 2 billing cycles will be a lot of money. Fine! So the next month comes $190! Not the number I wanted to see but they said it would be high and then we would see really cheap bills of $70 dollars a month to offset those costs. The next month $200 dollars. At this point I am pissed, Im not saving money if anything I have spent an extremely absurd amount of money on these damn phones in just the past 3 months. I call and all of a sudden everything switches. Oh well Ma'am you have this charge, and this charge, oh and you do have the Elite plan which also comes with this charge. So I am out all this money for a sub-par service, my monthly payments are $200 dollars a month no where to what they were "advertising". Save your time and money and please don't go to AT&T they are expensive and tack on all these hidden fees. The only way I was able to lower my bill $30 was to "lower" my plan. Avoid AT&T at all costs please. It is and was not worth it.

Horrible customer service
September 29, 2022

On Wednesday, September 27 I opened an account for TV and Internet service for the first time ever. Then I found out that I have a past due amount of $884.63 for an account someone opened back in 2015. I have never had an account with AT&T. So I called and they gave me the runaround making me go to stores and calling the fraud department. To only find out that they determine that it's not fraud. I cannot prove the account was not mine. So they want me to pay the $884.63. So I called back to find out what was the charges for. And they told me because I don't have the pass code information. They cannot give me any information from the account. I have services with AT&T on my wife's name. Since before they change their name from Cingular wireless to AT&T. With the same numbers that I have today. I left them because of bad customer service. And I forgot all about the bad customer service. And before I got my services activated now, they just remind me how bad their customer service has always been.

Don't you do it!
September 29, 2022

I had been with att for over 10 years with no problems until I decided to add my family to my plan. I was promised so much and none of it was true. From price all the way to the nonexistent 5g network that we were required to buy all new phones for. I have spent over 100 hours on the phone with them since march, and, even though I have cancelled my service, I still have had to spend at least an hour every day trying to get it all straightened out. The customer service structure is a joke. You can't actually get anything taken care of in the store, but you absolutely cannot trust what phone representatives say. I was told different prices for the same service 6 calls in a row. When I went to cancel my service I was required to go through their customer retention team and they absolutely do not care about retaining customers. They said that it was me who was wrong this whole time, and that it had nothing to do with att representatives. I'm done wasting my time attempting to get things done with them.

The absolute worst!
September 27, 2022

I was ALMOST a customer of AT&T and I'm so happy I dodged that bullet. I was looking to switch over phone providers because AT&T had a better deal for upgrading my iPhone. For starters. They told me that once I get the phone I would call them to activate my service. I didn't get any "welcome to ATT" email or any "account set up" emails since no service was activated. All I received was a email to track my phone. So, they shipped the phone out and didn't include my unit # even though I verified with the agent 3x and he repeated it back to me. The Phone was shipped back to AT&T so when I called to do an address update (on hold for 1 hour, btw) the guy tells me that he has to create a new order and I will have to make double payment... Like WHAT! I ask him why do I have to make another payment. He says he has no way to update my shipping address and he will have to create a new order. At that point, I come to realization that this is not the company for me so I immediately tell him to cancel my order and process my refund. I will stay with my current provider (T-Mobile)

A week later, I get my new phone from T Mobile and while I'm in the process of activating it, they tell me my number is in the process of being ported. I would have to call the company that is holding my number (AT&T) and ask them to cancel the request. Why are they still holding my number, idk! So after being on hold for almost an hour, I finally get a ATT person on the line. I ask him to cancel my port in request thinking it would be simple. He then proceeds to tell me he cant cancel my request unless I give him a code. What code? Apparently I would have to log into a nonexistent att account and get a code. I was never a customer so I had no account that I new about. I spent 2 hours speaking with them before they would release my number. NEVER AGAIN!

Criminals
September 26, 2022

My grandma and I tried to cancel their At&t wifi after her husband passed away. When you try to cancel online through your account, the cancellation page is conveniently "down" - so you have to chat or call... Red flag #1. Then she and I chatted with multiple agents because they kept disconnecting. Interesting. Pretty sure if I had asked for their stupid fiber upgrade we would have been served immediately. Anyways, we said over 10 times in one chat that we just wanted to cancel because she is moving to assisted living. These bastards tried to convince her to KEEP THE WIFI in an empty house she is SELLING. Apparently these people don't even know what assisted living is because then they tried to get her new address. I hate this company. How dare they hassle my grandma after my grandpa's death.

Att fiber technician damage my water line and I called corporate but they constantly gave me the run around along with some sub company they use to repair it. I'll be fixing it myself but a piece of advice. If you see them digging in your yard pay close attention to them.

ATT is an awful company
September 23, 2022

I lost my phone and still don't have service after two days of dealing with these idiots at ATT! I've left the company for good! I cannot believe how they can hold up changing service. I went to their store three times yesterday. I've spent hours on the phone, mostly on hold with the corporate dufus idiots who cannot do anything. The company has way too much power over customers. We need more regulation over phone companies like this. They behave in a criminal like manner. Imagine losing your phone and asking these people for help to restore your service. So you go to a dealer and instead of help they attempt to financially rape you! Creeps!

Scam Calls
September 22, 2022

I'm not sure if AT&T is part of this crap or not? I have been a AT&T customer for over 15 years when I call about the 20 calls I get a day from scammers, all I seem to accomplish is ZERO. I would think a large company like AT&T would be able to stop scam calls from people trying to steal information from us. I have called for well over 2 years asking for some kind of help from AT&T with nothing but bull$#*! from customer service. I paid extra money to block scam calls, that did nothing. When I call and speak to a person, witch is difficult, I explain that I realize they are just doing their job so I just want to find out how to stop these scam calls.

DO AS WE SAY - NOT AS WE DO
September 22, 2022

So...we did work for AT&T and are now going on 90 days past due on their bill. No surprise they do not allow this same payment system to their customers. Yep, a company where their policy is most definitely a "Do as we say... not as we do."

Brian a representative from AT&T was of great help to me concerning my bill and explaining why it had increased. He was courteous and knew his job well. He helped me to understand a few things concerning my account and billing of my account. He went above and beyond as we say in the military. AT&T should be very proud of Brian. Thank you again Brian for you help. Five stars for sure.
