I hired a car for our holiday in Montenegro from Atlaschoice.com over the net and paid them in full only to get home after the holiday and then noticed that the Partner company Green Motion from whom I picked the car up from deducted the full rental amount out of my credit card again.
I called Green Motion and asked why they deducted the rental cost from my account they advised that Atlaschoice have NOT PAID them and in GM contract I signed it gives them permission to debit your account if they don't get paid by Atlaschoice.
I tried for months to get in touch with Atlaschoice via Phone, Email, their web site all with no answer or reply. BUNCH OF $#*! HOLES

I stay in algarve every winter for several months and hire cars regularly. I used atlas choice in november, used their voucher to get the car.no problem but on returing the car to the rental co. I had to pay the rental company 195 euros to get my pedosit back because atlaschoice had not paid the rental company. Made my complaint to atlaschoiceto no avail. Since then all my findings about atlas choice have been negative.DO NOT USE THE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY.

Had car hire back in Sept thought everything was great until yesterday when Thrifty car hire steal over £900 from my credit card as Atlas have not paid them in spite of me paying Atlas months ago. I now have to fight to get my money back which they have taken illegally as they should never have kept my card details and certainly didn't have my authorization to do so. On further investigation I find out today that Atlas Choice are in Liquidation. ON NO ACCOUNT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THEM their web site
Still takes booking knowing this.

Locator rental company tried to debit my credit card as they haven't been paid by Atlas Choice. Fortunately, they registered the cvv number incorrectly so the debit failed. Then they called me and asked for details which I refused to give. Then they threatened to repossess the car by activating the tracker. I told them I'd report it stolen. I returned the car at the airport as planned. It cannot be right that these companies can shift their bad debts on to the consumer. Will look into this.

Be WARNED! The company is now bankrupt, if you've booked and have yet to collect the car, call your CC immediately and make other car arrangements. The "unofortunate circumstances" are that they're now delinquent though they are still not publically admitting it. Just do a quick google search dated last month for more info.

If you've booked, travelled, collected and returned the car but now being charged double by local companies because Atlas isn't going to be paying them, report the charge to your CC as fraudulent, as you have no fiscal responsibility whether or not the broker paid the supplier, that's not why your credit card was given. Good luck and don't let it affect you too much, they're all a bunch of crooks but you'll get your money back anyhow.

I took out a car rental and PLATINUM insurance with Atlas Choice in August for a weeks rental in Sicily. Collected the car drove for 3 hours into central Sicily and broke down. The car would not start and the diagnostics determined a dead battery. Called Atlas Choice who after an hour had arranged a garage to pick up car and solve problem. Garage towed to garage location and called to confirm replacement. Then it all went haywire, we were told the car had to go back to Palermo (3-4 hrs) and a replacement would be sent. The garage said that a battery would cost 70 + fitting, but NO they wanted the car back. Meanwhile we had cancelled an appointment as we were far too late and realised we could not even reach the hotel at this rate. I was then told that if I bought the battery I could claim back from the insurance. So this I did. Off we went and no problems for the rest of the holiday. Once I returned to UK contacted Atlas Choice to 'at least' get my battery money back let alone all the telephone calls and inconvenience caused, I don't know how may emails I have saying they are attending to it, but NOTHING, now they don't even reply to the email, just a generic 'email received'. This company really is unprofessional, devious and in my view should not trade. You cannot treat customers like this especially when I took out your most expensive (PLATINIUM) insurance plan, this insurance means NOTHING, so my advice to others is stay well away.

Did not make a booking in Portugal due to the fact that they refuse to tell you if you buy a Platinum coverage, in which circumstances they will charge the 1000 deposit on your credit card! So it doesn't matter which coverage you choose, they always claim a min deposit of 1000! They rely on 3rd car partners who will charge damage if they see fit. And because there is no clear policy regarding damage, this is a very tricky and doubtful way of working. Took me 4 days and 5 emails, and still not 1 answer regarding which kind of damages are being charged with a Platinum (so called full) coverage. On their site they hand out `presents`, but these are not presents, I asked them but it is pure nonsense. Did not trust them at all and booked at one of their competitors.

This company is disgraceful! Never ever use them!

I booked a rental car in San Francisco through atlas choice for my family and I.

We landed on time and proceeded to Ace rental cars at San Francisco international airport. Ace Rental Cars was the company the third party rental car booking firm atlas choice had done our rental reservation with and who we had prepaid for the car rental.

Unfortunately upon arriving at Ace we were informed that they did not have a rental car available for us. It was impossible to contact atlas choice and ace rentals in San Francisco would not give us a refund as they said the problem was from atlas choice.

We had to book a rental with enterprise at the airport which cost us $80 per day! Not fair when the problem was atlas choice.

I have now contacted atlas choice three times and have no refund. I will never use them again and would encourage others to do the same. I will post against atlas choice and ace car rentals on as many travel websites as I can find as I am furious. I was in SF late at night with my two kids aged 8 & 6 after a long flight with the rental we had booked and paid for not available. Shame on you atlas choice and ace car rental.

Good price for a luxury car (Audi Estate) through these. Arrived at airport and asked for 2 credit cards by Locauto.
Atlas choice documents only state I needed one.
Luckily I had a 2nd, only to be told by Locauto that the 2nd had to be an "American Express"
NOWHERE ON ANY PAPERWORK DID THIS APPEAR
After contacting Atlaschoice from the airport they agreed that it was their fault. They couldn't do anything then so they cancelled my booking, told me to book another car elsewhere and promised a full refund on return from holiday. (Looking back, they just wanted me off the phone).

7 WEEKS NOW AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY ARE NOT HONOURING THAT AND ARE NOT REFUNDING.

They are scam artists and untrustworthy.
I hope they lose as much business through this, (and other reviews i will be posting), that I have lost through their unprofessional incompetent behaviour.

BEWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Just look on Facebook and twitter at the number of complaints they are getting. I wish i had.

I booked my car hire for Cagliari Airport in Sardinia online with a covering question asking Atlas how they could speed up my check in when collecting the car as we have a very tight deadline. They ignored the question for a few weeks and when I chased them said they ould not help "because there would be other customers at their check in when I arrived." Thanks for that piece of illuminating information Atlas- I had no idea there would be other customers (although come to think of it I am a litle surprised anyone uses this company)!
I asked again but there was nothing they could do-their only focus was on ensuring I knew they would be billing me handsomly for cancellation; even though my uestion as raised as a condition of booking. The fee was duly deducted of course.
In the event I booked with an alternative higher quality provider and I have secured a better car, at a lower cost and with a priority check-in desk that ensures I can meet my deadlines.
Customner service? I doubt Atlas have the first idea what it means. Fortunately other more professional providers do.

When I refused to accept a damaged vehicle from local partner that looked like "after accident" with scratches and rear bumper broken into two pieces, and when local partner refused to substitute, Atlaschoice responded unprofessionally and unethically, kept the money, sent irrelevant reply, and closed the case. I lost what I paid for this experience and had to pay a lot more to a reliable car rental at the airport. Do not use crooked Atlaschoie.

What BS company? They charge me 193$ for a rental car mid size! When I got at the airport I don't have any info any company name like a enterprise herts etc... I try to contact them and realize they are from London and dont answer they polhone after 4 hours 1 by 1 checking I found a company dollar"rent a car and they said they will give me a compact car Chevy spark really? If I want a me size its 145 dollars more be cause they are form London md size for them means compact to us, so I had no choice more 150 almost why I pause for the first time, so atlas choice is the bad decisions u can make to deve money don't do that or u Gina make ur vacation really bad

Booked a car through Atlaschoice with Del Paso Malaga

Car collected full / returned full

They charged 22 to put the fuel in the car fuel - NOT for the fuel, but to put the fuel in the car before we received it.

There is nowhere in any documentation from Atlaschoice that says Del Paso will charge us 22 to go to the petrol station next door to the car hire and put the fuel in the car

I filled up & they will charge the next customer 22

Avoid atlas choice at all costs! Hope this is not too late! It's too late for me! I hired a car from Murcia airport and Returned the car to them over a month ago and haven't had my deposit back yet, credit card bill of over £750 has already been paid, atlas choice are doing nothing about it!
Believe all of the negative reviews on them, it's not just grumpy people, they've caused me no end of stress and are simply blaming the Spanish car hire company!
I'm at the end of my tether and don't know what else I can except try to warn people to stay away from them!
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THRU THIS COMPANY!

BEWARE of ATLAS CHOICE CAR RENTAL SERVICE

For those of you that do travel outside of the US - beware of Atlas Choice Car Rental service.

Atlas Choice is a broker based in London. We used them to find a car rental company in Portugal. One of the services they offer is insurance coverage for any excess damage to the rental. Unfortunately I banged up the front of the car and for over a month I have been trying to get a refund based on the additional insurance. I applied the day I returned from the trip and submitted all of the paperwork. I have still not received any of the funds due. I would never recommend this company.
