I ordered 2 leggings, that weren't cheap. I received my items and didn't like them at all. Quality was garbage and not worth the price of them. I sent them back for a refund. First, they didn't want to refund me fully for the leggings. Second, I sent them back almost a month ago and have yet to receive my refund. First time I called,, they told me 10 business days. I waited and called again about getting my money back. Second time I called, they told me 15 business days. I waited 16 business days and still haven't received my refund. Called again and now there is a case that was filed to get my refund. Now I have to wait another 3-5 days just to be put through the ringer yet again. This was my first experience with this company and surely will be my last. Customer service is absolute garbage. I'm livid and I'll never ever give another penny to this awful company or any of their affiliates. I'll be sure to let all my friends and family know about this nonsense as well. Never have I ever had to wait this long for a refund after they received their product back from me. Shame on you Athleta! Never again!
I had to change 2 sizes on an online order a few hours after making the initial purchase. I had to speak to 3 different representatives who were all very friendly, unfortunately gave me false information each time (this was why I had to keep calling back). In the last phone call, I was told I would be sent a coupon in my email for my troubles to be disappointed again. They seem like they will tell you anything to get you off the phone. The items were ok but definitely not good enough to outweigh how customer service makes you feel.
I am beyond disappointed in the customer service I have received from Athleta. I made the mistake of sending a pair of leggings in the mail to be returned that I had purchased in the store. I found out you cannot return items through the mail that you purchased in the store (which is completely stupid). Athleta DID NOT credit my card for the return nor send the item back to me. This company literally stole $100 from me. I have called 3x and spent approximately 1.5 hours on the phone with customer service, which provided absolutely no help. I will never shop at Athleta, Gap or Banana Republic again! Don't waste your hard earned money on these companies, as they don't give a sh*+ about customer service!
I used to love Athleta. I have spent thousands of dollars on their leggings. The same leggings I have ordered for years no longer fit. They keep making changes to their products; unfortunately, these changes are not making products better, they are making them worse! The exact same pair of lettings no longer fits me. I read other reviews complaining about this. In addition, their customer service is terribel. Off to Lulu Lemon I go.
I see so many ads about this brand and it's so annoying. I'm all about athletic apparel but the outfits suck. STOP or find another designer.
Trent and the entire staff at the Athleta Store, 156 5th Ave, NYC was fantastic. The best sales help I have had in years.
Over priced and disappointed. The fabric is very thin, similar to a thin cotton tshirt with a lot of stretch. This is a quality beach cover, not a dress to wear for an event. You can see some undergarments under it. It shows every bump around your bra. This fabric is not like their quality skort! I returned it and shopped for a dress to wear for dinner that look like something other than a giant t shirt. It was true to size
I bought several t-shirts and within a few weeks all of them had little holes in the front. I brought them back to the store with my receipt but they wouldn't accept the return because I'd cut out the little tags inside (they were itchy). And the salesperson acted like a total jerk about it, like I was trying to return stolen goods even though I had the receipt. Never buying from them again.
Purchased a $92 dress. Returned it within 24 hours of it arriving at my house. I tracked my return via UPS and it has been sitting at their warehouse for weeks without being processed. When I call they keep pushing the date back that I should call yet again and maybe they will give me the refund I am owed. NEVER shopping with Athleta again.
Dear Athleta:
Despite the rhetoric on your various web pages, the Athleta tote bag is NOT sustainably or responsibly produced: because of its cheap sewing construction, the seams split after a few uses, and it goes into a landfill after all. As explained below, either a) construct the bag better so it has a better chance of living up to your sustainability propaganda, or b) take the misleading message out of the bags.
The message printed inside the bag is at best misleading when it states:
"We're committed to reducing our impact on the environment. The fabric in this bag is made with 82% recycled material, which saves plastic bottles from ending up in landfills. Re-use it as a farmer's market tote or gym bag."
Contrary to the aspirational message in your bags, these bags don't save plastic bottles from ending up in landfills: they just delay the plastic ending up in landfills in the form of these tote bags. I would speculate that you just put this message in the bags to make customers feel better about their environmental footprint.
You could actually do a better job of keeping plastic out of landfills with a simple step: direct the manufacturer to reinforce the bottom seams and put a few rows of extra stitching where the handles meet the bag, which would give these many bags a chance of staying out of landfills at least a bit longer.
Sixty percent (60%) of American women do not have any sewing skills. You can extrapolate from that that the moment a seam splits on your bag or a handle pulls off, 60% of users of your tote bags will throw them in the garbage and into the landfill they go. As a fiber artist, I happen to have an extremely high level of sewing skills, so I repaired my bag. But I doubt few of the 40% of women who do have sewing skills would take the time to repair such a bag finding it simply not worth their time.
Also, you make it very hard to contact you. There is no on line comment form. It is all one-way outbound communication touting your environmental message that customers like to hear, even if they know a lot of it is fluff. If you can't even rely on a bag to fulfill your message printed in the bag, then the rest of what is on line must to some degree be not entirely true as well.
I hope you will take my suggestion so you can honestly keep that message in your tote bags.
Bought a sports bra. It wasn't even packaged with a shipping invoice. It wasn't packaged at all. Probably a previous return. This bra is cheaply made with fabric that sticks to your clothes so you can't wear it under anything. It is for little girls trying out big girl stuff. Not for grown up women needing a real bra with real support. You can see the outline of the bra under anything. The fabric bunches up in the middle. Just the fact that it wasn't packaged turned me off. First time with Athleta and the last. Would add proof of purchase but they didn't send a shipping invoice.
Bag arrived open and one item was missing. They issued me a credit for the missing item.
I returned two items to store and didn't receive credit to my credit card. Customer service claimed the store returned the two items separately and hence credit went to my credit card as 2 separate credits. This is hogwash.
The credit on my receipt was for $273. And they claim they split the credits. The credit on the receipt is how it should post to my credit card.
They are apparently run some kind of scam operation. Don't order online from this company
I recently placed an order in December. I waited for the item for 2 months on backorder. When I went to check if it had shipped the order said cancelled. I called and they said my card was declined and they transferred me to synchrony. Synchrony Visa Athleta card company said that wasn't true. No charges were attempted or declined and they are sorry I was told that, my card is in excellent status. Don't waste your time. Apparently if they can't fulfill your order, they just make something up! I think I'll spend my money at an honest company with some integrity.
After I received an email like my visa card "looks like fraud to them" which is totally nonsense; I had to call them to verify my info and they switch me from one agent to another to verify my info again. Why? It was an annoying experience with an unprofessional customer team. I decided not to continue with this order and spend my $300 with Spanx. Much better experience! Goodbye atleta, never again!
This is the most ridiculous experience I ever had with Athleta. Not for the first time, I received an item that was dirty (oily stain on Hoodie). I returned it right away and now over 2 month later I am still fighting to get a refund. At first I was told 10 business days after I sent it; then it was 10 business days after they received it; now it's well over the given timeframe and I am supposed to again waiting 24-76 hours until I hear from them (for the second time they were supposedly starting an "investigation" into this). Customer service used to be more helpful and were able to issue a refund right away. When did this change that their customer service people seem to only be able to copy/paste standard replies and are not able to help one bit with any issues?
No thanks and no way, to further sale. Took forever to reach my home mail. Returns? Fifteenth plus. I should get interest. Oh, worse, brand redid loyalty program. I lost 560 dollars with their rebrand and answer? Despite their assurance my points would travel over, did not. Called CS. Personnel said I would have a supervisor to return my call. Yup. Guessed it. No call back.
They stole money from me. Done. Absolutely the worse design and colors. Once again, who wears nor wants this unsatisfactory line that is unattractive plus stealing from customers? Not me.
Needed an e-gift card to be sent that day. Ordered, paid and now for 36 hours it has said ‘processing order'. Every other e-gift card o have ever purchased has been sent within the hour. I have repeatedly submitted customer service requests and no one has contacted me. This place feels like a scam.
Order lost, no one takes accountability for anything. I will NEVER use this company again and will warn others to stay away.
I just purchased a pair of sweatpants and a jersey sweater. To Athleta's credit, the material was super soft and comfy, BUT that's were the positivity ends... I ordered a size S per Athleta's guidelines and both garments were huge on me! The waist description was "mid-rise"... now folks, I have a long torso, but these lounge pants are ridiculous! The waist came completely over my stomach and up under my ribs! (Yes, that is my bra just above the waist of these pants!) Both of these garments are going back. SO disappointed. Too bad the descriptions weren't accurate. Enough of the "high waist" already!
Spent 29 minutes on the phone for an incorrect charge on my account and was then disconnected after 2 transfers. This is the second mistake I had with athleta account. The service person hung up and actually seemed like she didn't know how to resolve my issue. Terrible service. I am now an Alo and Lululemon customer.
Answer: Athleta is a legit company that charges outrageous prices for cheap clothing.
