Asurion is a total rip-off. My iPhone was malfunctioning and Asurion had me reset everything on my phone to see if that would fix the problem. It didn't - I called again. They didn't have record of the conversation so I had to reset again. Didn't fix the problem. They said they would send a refurbished phone. Then I was to send them mine. If they determined mine had been dropped or exposed to water, I would be charged $300-$500. No way was I sending my phone to them. They could claim anything and I would have no recourse. Do not use these people. Verizon needs to drop them.
I can't explain how much I hate working with these god awful processes. The people are as nice as they can be, and I get that it's not the customer service reps I'm working with. It's the TERRIBLE processes they are making AT&T Customers go through. I have to go through this entire process with a drivers license picture and printed document - however I can't upload as they request and there is nobody that can help. Instead of providing an email address to mail it to like it used to be (still not ideal) the tech support rep had me on hold - while she was on hold talking to them about their problem. This is absurd and I hate it.
Sent my phone back using their non padded envelope supplied for that purpose. Phone supposedly cracked in shipping. Tried to charge me for sending in a broken phone. I had to be very assertive and only succeeded because t mobil packed my phone. Must take pic of phone front and back before shipping. They make a lot of money on this scam. 29.99 for a cracked back cover. They know a lot of backs and screens will get broken in shipping due to inadequate protection of phone.

Asurion is a waste of money. Since the town Im in does not have s repair shop asurion associates with. They expect me to drive 2 hours to get my phones screen fixed. I've never made a claim. Will not send loaner phone and the only other option is pay 400$ for a refurbished phone. Absolutely garbage. Not worth it. Waste of money
Absolute waste of thousands of dollars over the past 8 years! Tried to file a claim and got stuck in "groundhog day" filing the same thing day after day and not moving forward. Then, so frustrated, couldn't wait any longer, so just went and got a new phone. It was a total waste of money and time with asurion!
Your technician came to repair my phone's screen. In the process, he scratched my phone's sides and left a blue film coming from under my phone's new screen. When I asked for a refund, I was told no because the screen works. This makes sense how exactly? I understand you are sending a free replacement device, but that's no excuse to be charged for a phone repair you botched.
My best advice is to saty away from this company! Going on 2 weeks still waiting on my phone! Paid them monthly for the service then $199.00 for my replacement and every time I call they have said it has been stuck at there warehouse called Thursady, Friday, and Saturday and they all said they fixed the problem. We will see!
So I bought I Google Pixel 2XL. I know. A long time ago. As soon as I got it I smashed it and paid the deductible. Why? Because I wanted Asurion to be responsible for it not Verizon. Now here is the key. Every 9 months I call Asurion and report the phone doesn't charge any longer. They sent me a new 2XL. 9 months later they send a new 3XL. 9 months later they send another new 3XL. 9 months later they send a brand new Galaxy S10 plus. 9 months later another Galaxy S10 plus. 9 months later they get tired of me doing this and told me to go buy whatever phone I wanted and they would reimburse me cash. Now I have a brand new Galaxy Note 20 ultra 5G when I originally started out with a Pixel 2XL and guess what? I didn't have to return the Galaxy S10. It's all about how you go about it.
I originally paid $29 for a screen replacement through them. Cool. Well that phone stopped working. Couldn't use the touch screen at all. Called them back told me they would send a replacement phone free of charge. Well however when you replace the device you have to send the old one back. In order to do that you have to turn find my iPhone off. I had to do it through iCloud.com considering I couldn't use that phone at all. I've called them multiple times because they are still saying my find my iPhone is on. The fine for that is $300. So again I called and explained that I've turned it off and one tech looked into more and stated they were looking at the wrong iPhone. So before I shipped it out I called to double check and was told it was off. Now that they received the phone they are stating that it's still active. Looks like if they charge me the $300 I'll be disputed and going to court.
IT'S A SCAM. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE. IT'S "PREMIUM" MONTHLY CHARGE US WAAAAAAAY OVER PRICED. AND YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY A "DEDUCTABLE" OF $300
What a nightmare this place is and it's horrible the way they have their calls going to Asia out of the United States PERIOD. First you have to go through a long messages of BS saying the same crap over & over.
Once you get somebody on the phone you can't understand them as their from Asia and if you can understand them they don't really have a clue how to help you. So they put you on hold for ever to their customer solution team you wait for an hour or two and then get more Asian help that struggles to communicate. They go as far as pretending they have you talking to the CEO of the department which is a $#*!ing joke. They try and use the 60 day rule that doesn't apply to everything to just BS you until you give up. Another company needs to step up so this horrible run piece of human garbage company can burn in hell.

Anyone that has Asurion cancel it! If it's offered for your cell phone plan say HELL NO! It is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have been dealing with getting my phone screen repaired since WEDNESDAY. Day one I went to a uBreakiFix store and it wasn't able to be repaired because their part was defective. I was advised to call Asurion and request for a Advanced Exchange. Didn't know at the time, but that was requesting for a replacement phone and it would be sent at $29(the deductible price). After being on the phone for 2 hours with Asurion and then being told I was denied of the advanced exchange, thinking that was the next step. Multiple associates couldn't explain why I was being denied. I finally got to a supervisor and she said it was because "I haven't been billed enough air time". I said "huh?". She said that I hadnt used my phone since I purchased my insurance. I told her I am on my phone right now! I explained that my phone is fine and I don't need a replacement I just want my screen repaired. I set up an appointment on Sunday morning. The tech texted me that morning saying that he did not have the part and that I needed to reschedule. So I went ahead and rescheduled on my day off today to have someone come to my house. I received an email at 6 AM this morning that I needed to call regarding action on my claim. When I called this morning they told me that my claim was voided. Each day there is a new excuse why a tech can't come out to my house. I've constantly got the run around and with no resolution. The only way that this was resolved was to pay the $199 for a replacement phone. Instantly approved. They make people go in circles until they can't take it anymore.
I called because my phone was lost and they made me jump through loops and i still have yet to receive my phone that was do for same day delivery. My time slot was from 7pm-9pm. 8:30pm Came around and I still had not received a phone call from anyone so I took it upon my self to call. They told me that the phone was never picked up and that there was nothing they can do for me besides mail it out. I was extremely frustrated due to the fact that they charged me 200$ for everything an I still haven't got a phone, they had me waiting all night on a Friday when I could have been out having dinner with my family or anything of that nature. A horrible company to have for insurance worse its a rip off

Between my husband and myself we have been on hold with this company for over 2 and one half hours. They were supposed to come out today to help fix my husband's cracked phone, but never made it. They can't ahead and charged my husband the $30 fee anyway, even though they never showed and my husband never canceled. Every agent he has spoken with has either gotten disconnected, or they have to out him on hold so they cam contact another agent to get the full story. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
After 5 years of paying for warrantee we finally needed to file a claim. Filed claim on Feb 18. Finally got a phone on March 12. Phone did not work. Had to spend 3 hours on phone with tech coach and then 2 hours on phone with customer service. They said we would get a new phone by 5pm on Mar 15. No phone arrived. 25 days and counting. So much for their stated "Same day service". Recommend everyone avoid this ripoff company
This insurance company is a scam. Not worth a penny. No point of having it. Paying insurance on this company is like feeding a crock and thats who they are.

What a horrible, horrible company. Took 3 months to even get to the replacement stage. THEN they charge you a "service fee" of 200.00? Agents were rude, spoke as robots, never answered any questions, hung up, made broken promises, the list goes on. I will NOT be purchasing this protection again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know. Shame on you Asurion.
This is an aggressive waste of money. They made me pay over $100 to send my Apple Watch in for repair, were unsuccessful in fixing it one month later and gave me $250 for the almost brand new watch to go buy another. It took six phone calls and two weeks to even figure out it was unrepairable. Disappointing. Would not recommend

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
