This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do not pay for their unreliable service. We filed a claim on October 3rd, it is now October 29th and we have gotten nothing but the run around from them and still no phone replacement. We have spent hours on the phone with them, which most of that time being on hold as they transfer you to someone else who is not competent to resolve the issue. We were told a handful of different excuses as to why the claim is not being taken care of. This service is a joke and not worth the wasted time you will put into having to deal with them and get no resolution. Save yourself the headache and if you need to fix a broken phone, go to a local dealer!
Broke my phone screen 2 weeks ago it is my life line everything the only contact I have with the world bills everything and I told them this they wanted to send a text to my phone the make sure it was me... are you serious they then waived that process then put my claim on a 48 HR hold an then asked for I'd and to down load a form on line... ive missed 6 hrs of work becauseof this nonsense and spent hard working money for shirty service an horrible customer service when this issue is taken care of I will no longer be continuing service with them
Needed service on my appliance. Called them, they identified me and the appliance, but couldn't find my service contract, even though they had sent me a payment confirmation when I purchased it, as well as a second email with the contract number. But they couldn't find it. "We will need to send this to claims review for research, it will take 3-5 days". Told them I could just email back all their documents, which would settle the matter. "We can't accept email here". Never hear back, call again, get a supervisor, supervisor says there is no record of my initial calls. Says will elevate it. Never hear back. Finally get an agent who says a claim number has been assigned. Problem solved? No. Now get an email asking for the docs they originally said they couldn't accept by email! Send them the documents. But they don't read their email. Nobody responds. Call and get somebody in claims review who finally found the documents, but now wants a copy of my original purchase receipt, too! Even more hoops to jump through, in the meantime the appliance doesn't work, and hours wasted calling them, sometimes getting hung up on. Finally get everything approved, and a repair company is assigned, one with terrible one star user reviews on the internet. Call back and try to get a better repair company. "That request needs to be sent to a program specialist for review". Are you kidding? Finally get someone who can change the company, but all their service companies are one star, terrible companies! That's all they've got! So after all this time and misery, we end up with one star service companies that everybody hates, because that's all they've got.
Asurion is a joke. It too, is a one star company. They will 'apologize for your inconvenience', but then they will inconvenience you even more. This place should be shut down.
Did you know Asurion has 2340 complaints filed against it with the Better Business Bureau, the BBB? That's right, 2340! Take a look for yourself at the BBB website. Any organization with that many complaints SHOULD be shut down!
DO NOT GET INSUARNCE THROUGH THESE PEOPLE! Total scam! I had insurance with them through Verizon. Dropped my phone in water and called them to get a new one. They sent me a refurbished one without telling me. So I filled out the form that came in the box they gave me with the new phone to send back their phone and cancel. I did not send it in their prepaid envelope because it clearly stated no batteries inside it. So I took it to the post office and paid $20 to send it to their P. O. Box address stated on their pamphlet. It was delivered to them October 6th, 2021. I called them October 12,2021 to get my refund back which they stated would take up to 10 days. I waited the 10 days no refund. I called them again and had to argue with representative who claimed that I never sent the phone back, but when I told her I had photos and a tracking number she quickly put me on hold, then came back on the phone and said they issued my refund but my bank was holding it from depositing. I told her I was looking on my banking app and never seen anything pending to be deposited. After having to get mouthy with her, she directed me to another customer service representative. This lady couldn't understand where I got the P. O. Box address from for some reason, even though it was in their box with the phone they sent to me with directions on how to cancel the phone, just like I had done. She claimed that since I had sent the phone to that P. O. Box they wouldn't give me my refund because that wasn't their warehouse. Even though it was the address on their pamphlet that stated to return to this address your canceled items. She made me wait on hold about 5 or 6 different times before questioning me about multiple things, to which I had taken photos of everything before I sent it back and have tracking numbers. After being on the phone for over an hour she said she would call me back the next day so she could figure out where the phone is. But until then they won't give me my refund! How is this place in business & affiliated with Verizon? More bad reviews for Verizon as well on my end for dealing with scamming phone insurance. I would give them a negative star rating if I could!
Lost my phone found it within a week.
They have a 30 day plan for returns. Worst customer service, They do not tell the truth. Cannot get them via telephone. I cancelled my policy. Would not recommend them
Wow from the looks of it this company already has some terrible reviews so i'm not alone! You'd think that they would care about their loyal customers who needed a new phone and finally use their insurance to file their first claim. I guess it's all about the money to them. Apparently if you lose a phone within 2 months and try to file a claim you can't! That's absolutely ridiculous. This is supposed to be insurance if you LOSE A PHONE. They don't care about their valued customers so many people also agree and they are still out here trying to scam people. Pathetic.
An absolute disgrace, complete incompetence with ordering parts and rescheduling parts. Still waiting a month for my repair, Samsung needs to find another company!
I give 0 stars however the system required I at least give 1. Absolutely the worst! I have had nothing but the run around for almost a MONTH (mailed on 10/1) for a check reimbursement. All I hear is we will email the accounts payable and you have to wait 24-48 hours for a response because they do not have a way to contact them by phone which I find so hard to believe. Yet no one calls back and I have to continously follow up. I have spoken to numerous people who want the "opportunity to fix it" but don't. So at this point everyone I talk to is just blowing hot air. The "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" only works for so long before they become empty. Never have I been so frustrated with a company. If you expect anything done in a timely matter by them that's just wishful thinking. I am not one to write reviews but they definitely earned this one!
Our washer/dryer broke down and we had a protection plan through Home Depot. I had no idea they subcontracted this out to Asurion. Essentially after a technician came by, initially requesting a part to try to repair, they had sent the wrong part. Then they later claimed, based alone from pictures sent by the technician, that we had "abused" the product and this voided the warranty. No explanation to me, just was submitted after the fact. Avoid at all costs, they seem to take your money knowing that they can simply void on their own terms and you lose out.
First claim I filed was my fault, I dropped the phone and broke it, they replaced it within a reasonable delay however despite paying 15$ per month for this insurance they will charge you for a replacement, in my case it was 200$. Wow. Replacement phone was also a refurbished phone, not even new.
This replacement phone lasted less than a year before I had to bring it in a store and be told the mother chip had an issue, that it was not user error, and that the phone had to be replaced. I have a very strong suspicion this is due to a already faulty product that was "Fixed and shipped back out".
I called again to file a second claim. Like the first time theyll try to offer you a replacement phone that is not even close to the value of your phone. Ive been waiting for 1 month now, called and was told there is no deadline for claim completions and if it takes a year, thats what itll take. I highly suspect theyre just waiting for another user to file a claim, send in their faulty phone so they can fix it up then ship it out to me. They also mentionned they would be cancelling the insurance as ive "Maxed out" the claim options on my plan.
Never pay for this insurance on your mobile devices. Not only have they screwed up once but twice! I get charged for non return unit fee when clearly my tracking # from the USPS reflect that I have delivered the parcel. Asurion has a 3rd party company that picks up the parcel and that's where the screw up happens! But assurion and AT&T will toss you back & forth and no one is reversing the fees and it's costing me so much time to get that hefty $650 fee reversed!

After allowing them to access my cell phone in order to activate another cell phone. The new one was good but they were telling me that their were still issues. I don't trust the fact that the individual helping me today was probably going through my phone that has nothing to do with activating my other phone. I might be skeptic but I don't trust the 2 individuals that were assisting me today.
I cracked the back glass and it wasn't covered because it needed to affect usage of the device. I broke the front glass and I couldn't interact with the display anymore but they wouldn't cover it because it was more than just the glass. This is a complete waste of money, STAY AWAY. SCAM!
Like some insurance companies they happily take your money but when you need them they continue delays asking one thing at a time. Days later they are still asking for more information and i'm still without a phone. Finally they asked for proof of purchase, att called them on my behalf and confirmed they sold me the phone and gave them all info, after several days dealing with claim they email me asking for proof again, i explained but they did not care simply they asked me to get written proof that the phone is mine. I asked why were they charging me every month if unaware if it was my phone. I think since they are a monopoly they can do as they wish, perhaps what they need is healthy competition see how quickly they actually work to help their customers. I believe all the major carriers are dissatisfied how they work so any insurance company should be able to take over this pitiful contract. Case # from asurion **************
Asurion is HORRIBLE! They have you pay up front (no biggie I understand it's life) That's not where the problem comes into play. The problem is they mess the labels up so it's "undeliverable" Or you might ask for a signature but you know what asurion says yeah we will set it up like that & doesnt, but wait there is more after 2 different attempts to deliver my phone on the 3rd they make you fill out paperwork and have it notarized lol as if it wasn't enough stress spending 1-2 hours on the phone with them everyday for a month straight to get a phone I paid $ 275 on 9/17/21 that I still have yet to receive btw it's 10/14/21. I just spent an hour on the phone on hold for a lady to play as if she didn't hear me in the middle of the call before giving me a solution to my problem because she couldn't make a sale off me. (She isn't the only one who did me like this.)
I've worked in retail and in commission based structure and it's always SOLVE FIRST THEN SELL! There should be no excuse as to why your customer service reps should operate like this.

I HAVE 6 phones, a watch, & a tab as well as home asurion and I've been with them for insurance atleast a decade if not longer & this is how they treat their tenured customers!
Sorry for the long review but I'm seriously fed up it's ridiculous.
You really can't get any worse than Asurion. I have a 15 month old LG refrigerator that needs a new compressor and LG agreed to cover the repair under warranty by even though the part broke two months after the full one-year warranty expired. The problem is that Asurion is the 3rd party service contractor. It initially took them 7 business days to come and diagnosed the obvious. However, it has now been 5 full weeks since that initial service call of missed appointments (4) and flat out lying to me. First, they said the new compressor would be expedited and delivered directly to me; it wasn't. Then they ghosted me, and when I followed up on a Thursday they said the part was at the distribution center and a tech will be out on Monday. Tech was a no-show, and when I followed up they said the part was not in. A new appointment was made and a confirmation call said they had the part and all was on schedule. The appointment was again canceled due to no part. They made yet another appointment which was canceled EVEN AFTER THEY CONFIRMED THE PART ARRIVED. The appointment was now rescheduled for another two days later and was cancelled and rescheduled yet again WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. The latest and greatest appointment was then scheduled for this morning. The supervisor of the escalation team called to let me know that all will go smoothly and the supervisor of the tech team will handle my appointment. This, after I requested to be the first appointment of the day because I cannot, and shouldn't have to, live my life around them. Long story short, guess who did not show up for the appointment yet again?
Whoever took over at Asurion has messed things up. What once was a simple and efficient system is now a hassle. Now one must download and then upload an affidavit to say one is telling the truth. It says it should be faxed to Asurion, but thankfully someone made it possible to upload once completed. Plus, I had to go to www.google.com/dashboard to get the REID number. Instructions were to go to the Android section, which means one has to guess where that number is. That and my picture id has me waiting for 3 plus hours now to find out what the result will be. Hope it's a good outcome.
Had monthly insurance for phone, accidently dropped it, filed claim, was replaced with a broken phone.
Answer: Asurion insurance is who: Cricket Wireless, Verizon, & most remaining cell phone companies are with now! Just be careful b/c they are IMO SCAMMERS that will get you at one time or another!
Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
