I pay $14.99 a month for this insurance. When I cracked the screen on my iPhone and it was deemed unrepairable. Asurion kept denying my claim to get a new one and refused to tell me why stating "the reason why the claim is denied is confidential" even though I was the one the claim was for and the name is under. I tried to fight with them for two weeks and calling every single day and no luck. Ended up paying out of pocket for a new phone even though I had paid for this insurance.
This is a horrible insurance company. They just make up their own facts and deny any claim it appears. There is no point in paying a premium for no coverage. I fought them over two denied claims but at least I got my premiums back. What a waste of time dealing with these guys.
I have never had an issue with AT&T themselves, however, the insurance company is crap. I made my claim to get my screen fixed on Oct 31, I received the materials on Nov 2 and then I called on Nov 4 (Friday) they told me they haven't received my phone, so I called again on Nov 7 and they told me they received it. They didn't specify on what day it came in but they received it. So they proceeded to tell me that it would take 3-5 days to get mailed back to me. HOWEVER, they really didn't receive my phone until Nov 10. I then got an email on Nov 11 STATING they received my phone and to give them 3 BUSINESS days to fix it and send it back. Well, I just called the insurance company (Nov 16) and they said "it's still in process and it says 5 to 8 BUSINESS days to fix it and send it back. Every time I've called they didn't know what they were talking about and they give me a different timeline EACH TIME I CALL. The reps need to be more attentive and pay attention because all this $#*! is annoying, there's no reason why it should have taken a month to get sent back to me.
PLEASE if you have not bought this service don't do it and if you have and you haven't had to call for a repair cancel immediately. This company is the biggest scam I have ever seen I spent hours on the phone just to get the runaround. RUN RUN RUN away from the scam as soon as you can
If I could rank it less than 0 I would. It has been almost a month and I still don't have my replacement device. I believe they do this on purpose so you just give up and buy another phone. They are quick to take your money but are lousy, lousy at fulfilling the policy. I am in disbelief as to how awful the service is. Every time I think I'm done they send another email requesting additional information. I have canceled the polily. Honestly the absolute worse service. Don't use them. They suck!
Sent Asurion an under warranty Sprint Samsung phone for repair, they sent me a lower model loaner phone, which only received texts and phone calls on WIFI! Supposed to get it back within 7 business days. Finally after 14 business days and numerous phone calls, they decided to send me a replacement. Did receive the replacement, but now they are sending me an unrepairable phone back to me, so I can send it back to them, WHA?
And EVERY time I have been on the phone with them they try to sell me the Asurion Home + plan for ALL my devices.
I just tell them, Why would I buy this when I am an UNHAPPY customer of Asurion?
My laptop stopped working months ago. We completed the claim form and mailed it in. That was August 19th. We are still waiting. We have emailed and called numerous times just to be told they are waiting on a part, or the part they ordered doesn't work so they have to order another one. I was just told 3 days ago that they would contact the other department and email me within 24 - 48 hours... Still waiting!
Asurion has been nothing but frustrating! We're working on the 4th service request in 2 months and still no replacement phone! Compensated $20 on a $300 bill woohoo (sarcasm)!
A few months ago I had cracked my iPhone X screen, so I needed a replacement (for around 200 dollars). Verizon had led me to Asurion and told me I'd need to get the entire phone replaced from them, so I shipped it in. The phone I received isn't half as good as the one I had before. The home button sticks, the camera is blurry, and the battery dies extremely fast. They also gave me some sketchy off-brand charger. Not only that, but when I charge my phone, with it not actively in use, it gets hot to the touch after a few minutes of being plugged into the charger. All I wanted was a screen replacement, not this entirely remanufactured sorry excuse for a phone.
Asurio home + is a scam. They use a simple technique to get you to pay what seems to be a reasonable amount of money for a warranty. But as soon as you need to make a claim. They request detailed info through a tedious process, it is runaround technique to discourage you. But if you still go ahead and complete the process the result is always the same response " We can't approve your claim
The issue happened outside your protection plan's coverage period." Which by the way is not true! It is the same response to any claim!
As a result, we're unable to approve your claim.
Wanted to get a replacement phone and still am waitibg after a month and a half. I need a refund for paying for this dirty service.
Two weeks an I still can NOT get an appointment to repair my oven, the two repair companies that they keep setting up the repairs are missing in action
Terrible service. They try to get up sell you every time you call. Was told $100.00 deductible yet iPAD was $229. For a cracked screen. Same cost to take it to a repair shop and have a new screen installed. Assyrian will not have it repaired and wants you send in the iPad for a replace, ent which mean putting all email accounts and other stuff back on the replacement manually.
I lost my phone and when i claimed for a new phone they denied my claim. I have been paying insurance for asurion for more than 7 years and never even claimed a device. Now that I lost the phone and when I am claiming the phone, the company denied my claim. Worst company ever and they are not even providing a reason for their denial. It is a SCAM company. Do not chose this company
Update: phone was replaced after this issue rather than repaired. Paid the deductible and all is now resolved. Process for reporting issues should be more specific so customers know when a full replacement is indicated.

Filed a claim for a screen repair on a phone. In the claim I was specific that I could not make or accept calls on it and to reach me at a secondary phone number. There was a tech scheduled to come today between 9am-11am. No call no show. I called them and apparently they tried to call the broken phone. And then they said if it can't make or accept calls it can't be a screen repair, must be a phone replacement. Well then why didn't someone contact me days ago when I made the claim? I took off work for this. Oh, and while on the phone they tried selling me additional insurance on home devices.
Made appointment to have phone repaired. When calling back to see if possible to change location to Mobike Klinik close to work was told not possible. Told agent to keep appt at original Mobile Klinik in Metrotown. Agent informed me that this was not an option. If I hadn't called to try to change, would have driven 30 minutes to location that would not have been able to fix phone. Tried to find out why and agent argued that appointment was never confirmed even though I received robocall confirmation.
I have been waiting 2 weeks for my washer to be fixed. No response to when it will be fixed. Home Depot protection plan with Asurion is a waste of your money. I have been hung up on, not called back, and lied to. I will never buy from Home Depot because of my experience.
I was having an issue with ghost touch on my iPhone and it made it impossible to even turn my phone on. Not only was this process extremely difficult and frustrating but they also completely reset my phone before I could back anything up or get it transferred. They completely wiped my phone out before the new phone had even been shipped out, but even if they had waited it would still not be an excuse. I am now left with nothing on my new phone. Not only this but contacting the company is almost impossible and also frustrating. Overall terrible, frustrating, and very stressful experience.
It was an extreme pain to file a simple claim online. I couldn't do it online and I had to spend valuable time to chat with someone. After finally submitting the claim with the agent, He made me go to UPS store to return the defective item. My time is valuable. I have to spend time and gas to drive to UPS and return the item. If this is how Asurion plans work, this is the worst, simply horrible!
I bought my pizel 2xl from verizon roughly four years ago. Cracked screen, filed claim, they want me to pay a $249 deductible for a replacement pizel 2xl which retails for $149.
Answer: Asurion insurance is who: Cricket Wireless, Verizon, & most remaining cell phone companies are with now! Just be careful b/c they are IMO SCAMMERS that will get you at one time or another!
Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
