Terrible Service

Terrible service. My claim was denied for invlaid reasons and I had to get on the phone with ATT to figure it out myself. It took a very long time and I am now waitinf 48 hours later from initial claim still wondering if my claim will be approved.

Terrible experience. It took me over a month to even get my claim filed and then I received an email that shipment was indefinitely delayed. Like, seriously? If I won the lottery I'd want to go on the dark web and hire a team of Russian hackers to redistribute all of asurion's wealth and then delete all of the company's data and erase them from existence and then I would use my remaining cash to find a freelance terror organization to nuke the vacant headquarters of the now bankrupt asurion insurance services. That is how much I hate this company.

Complete scam

I submitted a claim to get my cracked but working screen fixed. The technician never showed up for the first appointment to fix my phone. After I rescheduled the technician did show up and installed a new screen onto my phone. New screen did not work and he had broken the screen he took off. They sent me a brand new phone but since the screen on my old phone didn't work I could not transfer any of my data. There was an issue with the iCloud back up. I was on the phone with them for around three hours trying to get this issue resolved and all they could tell me was I'm sorry. I took the phone to a friend of mine who worked on phones. He took the screen off and discovered that the technician never even plugged in the screen and it actually worked just fine. So thankfully I was able to transfer my data before I had to send my old phone back. I will be canceling my insurance with them. I have Paid $35 a month for two phones for about three years now. I could've save myself a lot of travel and just bought a new phone instead of having a technician break my phone even worse than it was and mess up a new screen install.

Hot water tank malfunctioned. Service guys comes says can't replace that part and will be a buy out. I call multiple time and they tell me yes it's a buy out expect it to be covered. Then 2 weeks later I get a phone call and they tell me here is phone for manufacture, good luck! Very poor customer service. Just our right lied to us multiple times. Do not use this company!

They're a FRAUD!

Trust me I too had a horrible experience. I was charged for a phone replacement when I simply needed to have my screen replaced. The phone replacement was $229.00 the screen replacement was $29. Based on a series of questions over the phone, they come to the conclusion that my phone was irreparable, based on my answers. No one look at my phone, to make proper diagnostics. I was never given options. I felt like my phone just need a screen replacement. I had to drive 2.5 hours because they don't have a screen repair facility in my town of over 109,707, no U break it, we fix it by Asurion repair center in my town. How can you service all these wireless carriers, Verizon, Cricket, Sprint, and AT&T, and not have a repair center here? Oh, no they just want your money, but no facility nearby. The town that does have an Asurion repair center has a population of only 88,665 people. I should be not only refunded but compensated for the time and nightmare I had to go through. Hours wasted on the phone talking to inadequately trained staff. Time on the road, what a nightmare! I had to close my business and drive to the closest town near me to have my phone repaired. Once there, they denied my claim, so I had to fight it, another 2-hour conversation over the phone with incompetent help. In end, I strongly feel thousand of customers are incorrectly charged for new phones vs, having a simple screen repaired. The repair is only $29. They charged me $229. I sent them back their phone, and I'm still waiting on my refund. That's Ridiculous! Asurion wasted my time and kept my money. I sent them back their new phone, I never activated it.

The worst experience ever received. And a complete waste of time. I think they are in it for the $75.00 diagnostic fee. After speaking to the representative to set the appointment I advised her that all I needed What is a timer switch to on a gas dryer. The service technician showed up with no parts and told us we have to order the parts after telling them what we needed. Needless to say I complete waste of time and I hope you choke on the $75 fee that you charge to come out for five minutes. No wonder you got a one rating. A complete rip off. I ordered the part and replaced it my self for 100.00 he said it would of been close to 400.00 pound sand.

Laughable Customer Service

Replacement phone they sent (from warranty) had a damaged USB port out of the box, and I didn't care enough to send it back. Months later, the replacement phone stops charging (I had to always charge wirelessly with the pad) after the screen just randomly turned black. I tried accessing a debug mode or BIOS screen, but the device wouldn't respond. I call to get a replacement (I was told by one representative it would be free of charge) for the replacement and then I'm told by the next representative the warranty doesn't apply because of a single crack in the corner of the screen; the phone arrived with a defect and now has stopped working entirely. But one crack (been there for months btw) overshadows all of that other information. Completely asinine.

Oh, and the website locked me out twice (no reason given, just a generic error-type screen) which is why I had to call in the first place.
I'd give zero stars but the first customer service woman did try to console and sympathize (while also trying to loop me into some additional warranties, lol).

Worst experience ever!

Lost my phone and I filed claim next day. Got reply that I will be contacted within 24 hours but never heard back. Called them, worst customer service. No one answering your question. Been a week lost my phone and writing this review from friend's phone. Think twice before getting their protection service.

This company, Asurion, is a total fraud.
I purchased an electronic item on Amazon and also, purchased a "3 Year Home Audio & Video Accident Protection Plan" from Asurion, for it, on the same site, Amazon.ca, back in April of 2020.
The item that I purchased recently started having malfunctions.
Naturally, I contacted this so called insurance company, thinking that just like other companies that honour the protection plan they sell; they are able to assist me further.
My first contact was on November 4th of 2021.
The rep I spoke with said that I would be receiving a shipping label by email within an hour and also just in case, by mail in few days.
Not only I did not receive any email, but the presumably mailed shipping label never arrived.
I called again. The rep this time said that he would send them again and insisted that if I did not get the email containing the shipping label within a day to call them back.
That did not happen either!
Again, after few days, I called and asked to speak with a supervisor.
A female supervisor took over the call and said that their company's policy is that they ONLY physically mail the shipping labels and they DO NOT email them!
What company does not send a simple shipping label by email and prefers to waste money and resources and physically ship them! Only backward companies like Asurion.
You could imagine my frustration by now.
She said that they would issue another shipping label and have it mailed and that by then I would be receiving several mails and that I just use one of them and ignore the rest!
Of course, by then it was getting obvious that I was not getting anywhere with these people.
I called again the week after and asked to talk to a supervisor. My frustration was multiplied each time I called, since I had to explain everything over and over again.
This time no supervisor wanted to talk to me and I was told by the rep that the supervisors were busy and that one of them would call me within 48 hours!
48 Hours passed and I didn't get any call. I called back and the rep I spoke with said that by looking at the notes left on my case, it looked like a supervisor had tried to call me but I did not answer the call! And also, that the supervisor could not leave a message on my voice mail either!
I didn't get anywhere further with that rep either, since I got the same old promise of mailing a new shipping label.
I made another call past week and then I realized that I would never see that shipping label coming from this company through, at all.
You could imagine after being stuck at the very first step, which was getting a shipping label, what I could expect further down on getting any actual help from Asurion on resolving my issue.
People be aware! Do not deal with this company! Do not buy products from them! Learn from my lesson and go elsewhere! I say it again: THEY ARE A TOTAL FRAUD.

Spent an hour talking to a woman about turning my iPhone off, when Find my iPhone was off on my phone. Both people I spoke to were unaware of claim filed online, under the number presented to them, gave me a window of time 7-9 then emailed me and made me wait on hold to find out they didnt' know about my claim then said wrong address was given, even though the woman said it back to me 3 times correctly, not in a patronizing way but stuff like this happens often. Second woman thought the address was 01 My Street Name, and as I said what was spoken back to me was my correct address and such an address does not exist in my city or in general. When I filed today offered me delivery today & tomorrow. Second Woman said now it will take till Tuesday, work in mental health and cannot be without my phone. No options were given.

You're better off not getting any insurance and buying a brand new phone than dealing with these imbeciles. Their prices for deductibles is outrageous and they require far too much information, proof, and documentation rendering their services inconvenient and nonefficient. You'll end up paying more and still not receiving your replacement phone because you had inadequate ''proof'' of the damage on your phone and how it took place. Asurion is a company of thieves.

Why bother even scheduling with them?

It would have been nice if they'd have shown up after I took time off work to be there. Not even so much as a phone call to assure me that they'd be there... then they NEVER SHOWED UP AT ALL. I called the dispatcher and she was the most unsympathetic person you could imagine! The repair was scheduled between 1-5 PM, I called at 5:30 to ask if they were on their way, she said yes. I called again at 7:00 and she said they'd be there at 8:00, at 8:30 I gave up.

I had upgraded my phone (iPhone 12) through Verizon. I kept my old phone (iPhone Max/10) to use has a tablet for my kids. The screen cracked and I sent it in under the Asurion Home Plus plan I have through Verizon. Even though I filled out the paperwork online and told them that it was an old cell phone not connected to the network, and they took my money. They sent me two emails stating that they were still working on it. I had to call two weeks later and ask what was up. They told me that someone should have contacted me about a week and a half ago to tell me that they don't fix cell phones under the Home Plus deal. So, they would refund me the money and send me back the cell phone. I received the refund after two days. But it has been over a month, and I am still waiting for the cell phone to be returned. I have called several times and it seems that I am transferred and least 3 times.

Scam scammy scam

I used Asurion to replace a damaged phone and I got my new phone the next day. It didn't come with any return labels or instructions, just a refurbished phone in a box. So I went about my life. Three months later, I get notice that I was charged $300 on top of the $120 deductible I already paid for the "insurance" that Asurion provided because I didn't return the damaged phone.
I received no indication at all that I had to return the damaged phone, and no warning that I would be billed. I immediately tried to contact Asurion and AT&T to prevent this charge from being added to my bill. Of COURSE they could only offer to credit me the money AFTER I paid it and send the phone back.
I complied, and asked for a return shipping label, as I was more than willing to get rid of the damaged phone (luckily, I still had it!). I was on the phone for 2 HOURS with customer service representatives from AT&T and Asurion JUST TO GET A SHIPPING LABEL! It is extremely obvious that At&t and Asurion just wanted to keep my money and not even allow me to return the damaged phone. I even offered to pay for the shipping and not one person could give me an address where to send the phone.
Finally, one nice customer service rep from AT&T sat on hold with me for 45 minutes until Asurion picked up, transferred both of us to THREE OTHER REPERESENTATIVES and one of them finally emailed me a label.
I explained to them that as a business owner, this two-hour phone call was costing me money as I was unable to run my business while dealing with this insane process. I invoiced them for the time lost. Asurion is pitiful and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a class action lawsuit somewhere with their name on it.

Wow just wow. I have recordings of them eating while on the phone with me, of them hanging up on me, of them saying sir can I put you on hold for a second while I check on your replacement phone and actually forgetting to press the hold button or Maybe pressed the wrong one and turned around and started talking to the person next to them and I Quote "Yeah Girl I made some Brownies we eating good today fck I can't wait for break time, has it been 3 minutes yet? I need to get back to this dude let me give him 4 cause he getting on my nerves" unquote, unbelievable? I guess thats how you do it when you. Feel like the power or water company. It's just 1, you get mad you get no power. And verizon omg they may claim 5g coverage but that's to cover the 0G in customer service.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! I filed my first claim for a stolen phone with them. Filed a claim on Friday and was told via website that I would receive the phone on Sat. Saturday comes, and I have not received a tracking number, confirmation email or anything. When i track the status online it says under review and it can take up to 24 hours. Now by this time 24 hours had gone by. So I patiently wait to speak with a representative who confirms the documents are under review. When asked why, she gives some useless reason, then confirms that now, since I am on the phone the documents have magically been reviewed and the phone is ready to be shipped. Mine you, I didn't do anything hit call in. However, since today is Saturday I won't be receiving the phone until Tuesday. So as a customer, I get screwed because someone at Asurion didn't do their job in a timely fashion. The representative and the supervisor stated it's nothing they can do and basically accept it or not. I will be cancelling my Asurion home plus! I wish I could cancel my cell phone coverage however I believe this is the company Verizon chooses. I would not ever consider doing business with this horrible company!

I had a busted screen on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I filed a claim with Asurion, they gave me the option of when and where I wanted my phone fixed. I picked a date and time for them to come to my house and then changed the the date for a sooner date. The guy sent me a text saying he was 20 minutes out. He arrived on time had me turn off find my phone and then said he'd have to knocked out in about 30 minutes. 30 mins later I had a brand new screen on my phone and he was off. You couldn't ask for better customer service! Great job guys!
