One iphone 13 lens cracked and they want $250 to replace it (after paying $45/month for the 4 phone coverage). No option to repair. Total rip off. Plus to get a quote you have to file a claim which then might raise your deductible next time. While frustrated on a call with them (which took forever to get to and speak to someone) they actually tried to sell me more coverage - unreal.
Filed my first claim back in July, and was told they needed a couple of days for review and to stand-by. It's NOW August 8th and no follow up. I just called to find out the status of my claim, only to learn no claim on file. I asked to be transferred to cancel appliance insurance. The fellow I spoke to did find my claim but it was still pending... and would need to wait until they open tomorrow. F-that. No more waiting. No more paying this appliance insurance company. I've been paying monthly premiums for the last 3 months and would still have a $99 service charge. I'm starting to see this a good deal for Asurion but not me.
I did a claim at 7am on a sunday, got a message i would have my phone from 7pm-9pm, I called the guy to ask him what time he would be there and he could not really give me a time. I called asurion and asked if they could leave the phone at my door, they told me they could and that was the end of the conversation (so i thought) i get home at 8:30pm no phone, waited until 9:30pm maybe they are late ( so i thought) nope the guy didnt want to bring my phone and leave it ( but i said it was okay) as my 16 year old was home to get it. Called asurion they did nothing but say bull$#*! About me needing to call the next day to get the same day deliver again or they would mail it in 2-4 days smfh as im single mom and need my phone and was told oh well by them. ASURION DO FU##ING BETTER, TALKED TO 5 PEOPLE GOT TOLD 5 DIFFERENT LIES. 1 of them being that i was not in a area of same day deliver, but thats a lie my kids phone was here 2 hours after we called to get it replaced less then 1 month before i broke my phone...
I called about a claim to repair my cracked screen that should have been $29. They said they can't replace it I have too swap out the phone which is $182. Why am I being led to believe I have coverage that you won't honor?
Bought an Amazon Basics shredder with the Asurion warranty. It broke before the end of the warranty. I filed a claim & got someone I could hardly understand. Tells me I have to wait up to 5 days for them to send me a return box & shipping label for them to repair it. I ask where the repair shop is, maybe I can drive it there quicker. He's not allowed to tell me, he says. WHAAT? Then, he tells me it will take 10 days to repair the shredder once they receive it, after they assess the problem. Then another 5 days to return ship it from the mystery repair place. So, because this crappy shredder crapped out before the warranty expired, I will have to lose my AMAZON BASICS shredder for almost three weeks. Some warranty! BEWARE of buying anything on Amazon that is offered with a warranty by ASURION!
Told the rep on the phone that I didn't want the monthly plan. She tried talking me out of it every way she could. I asked them to cancel. I didnt have a hob and couldnt afford it. Well guess what... I got my credit card statement and I was billed for their services.
I got my replacement phone from Asurion a little under two weeks ago because I fell and cracked the entire back of my original iPhone. My original phone was dropped on pavement without a case, yet none of the three cameras broke. I have not dropped my phone once since using the replacement. One of the cameras shattered within a week of having it, soon after another camera lens shattered. Now 2 out of the 3 lenses on the back of my phone are shattered. I have NEVER broken a camera lens on an iPhone no matter how many times I have dropped it. Asurion sent me a replacement with entirely different camera lens material, one that clearly lasts about 2 weeks! And their warranty policy? Entirely unhelpful and unusable. I was on hold for 20 minutes just to learn that I have to go through this entire process again. Please look at attached pictures and compare the original iPhone camera lenses to the ones I received and that easily crack apparently while in your purse. The woman I spoke with ended the call apologizing that I dropped my phone and cracked it. I have worked in customer service myself and know when to admit my company's shortcomings and faults. Extremely disappointed. I haven't fallen or dropped my replacement; clearly they send defective phones.
If I could give them a zero I would. We pay for Asurion insurance and had a cracked screen on our iPad. Besides it taking hours on the phone to get the replacements the first replacement came and didn't charge. Then I had to go through the process to get it replaced, the lady said just take the current box to the Postal Service With return to sender, and they'll take it back. I said how could that be it's in a FedEx label. Sure enough the lady was wrong and I went to three places to get a FedEx box returned. From there we get the second replacement, it also doesn't charge. But it doesn't charge because the plug that they provided with the replacement doesn't work. When I called to have the plug replaced they offered me a $25 gift card as a goodwill. The $25 does not cover the hours of time I've had to deal with this issue. So now I have a plug that doesn't work for an iPad, the replacement cost is much more than their $25 certificate and I also had to pay the $275 replacement fee for the refurbished iPad they sent me. Pathetic time waste, and they don't guarantee anything but the device and you may have to send the device back because they don't check it.
This company just takes your money! Do not pay them either way they will not replace your phone. They denied my claim 3x!
The service is complet and utter GARBAGE. Submiting a claim requires you to jump through a million hoops, thry always find a way to not honor the claim no matter what the device is or when the device was damaged and all they care about is keeping you paying for the next month. No true solutions to any issues. They claimed they couldn't see the serial number on my smart watch. I asked if they had access to the photo I sent with it and they hung up. Do not waste your time or money. Total Trash.
Never had to do a claim in all 5 years of having insurance on my phone. Back of the screen cracked and they wanted me to pay a $229 deductible for a phone that's worth $125 in trade in or can be bought brand new for $199.99 with no contract. Giant scam! Was able to get the phone repaired for $50 from another provider. Lost me as a customer and the other 8 people on our account for life.
It was like working with a $#*!ed Pinocchio.
The technician was completely clueless and oblivious to any customer interaction. I would have felt more comfortable leaving my computer with TNT.com

I stopped by Asurion in McAllen, Texas around on July 10,2022 in the afternoon due to my Iphone no charging. The technician was very friendly and professional and looked at my phone. He noted it was dirty and told me in details what is happening. He cleaned it and it was good to go. I was so happy that I wanted to tip him and he politely declined. They asked me to upload same documents multiple times. After 8 days and uploading pictures of the product multiple times, they denied stating I did not upload the documents. They want to retain you as a customer just to get monthly subscription. They use Ubreakfix to get new customers. Worst experience ever. Get direct extended coverage through Costco/Dell/apple etc.
The people over the phone were nice, but the order was a mess. It took forever and they kept wanting me to go back to the online site, which is not the easiest to navigate. Once my device is fixed, I am going to remove all iPhones from plan and just use an otter box for protection. Less money, less stress. The insurance is not worth what you pay for it.
I have been paying for insurance on this phone every month. My phone sustained water damage. I called them to file a claim and was told that I wasn't covered for this type of damage. WTF?
This is boarder line an actual scam. Would not recommend to an enemy. Called to make a claim and after 2-3 hours back and forth because each rep couldn't answer simple question - I was approved. They said you'd here back in three days ("it's our service promise). I callled after a week of nothing and was told because we didn't deliver our promise we will replace the fridge. Three days later I got a call from a random guy saying he was coming to fix my fridge. So again, I called a ausrion and was told they changed their mind, which was fine. I just wanted my fridge fixed. Then the guy comes out and I'm told by asurion you will receive an email because they needed to by parts. Again, a week past and so I call. Oh they are only fixing part of the claim after the supervisor spexifically said that since the claim was approved it included everything, needless to say never once was I told that they were only fixing part of the fridge. Then the supervisor told me "yes, a lot of misscommunication and false promises, but there's nothing I can do because that other part we should have never told you we would fix"… keep in mind this is after I pay a monthly fee and $99 just for them to come take a look. My theory is they tell you they will fix everything so they can collect your $99 bucks then give you the bad news later.
This is simply the worst run appliance protection plan I have ever encountered. It takes ages and multiple calls to obtain a claim approval and then your real troubles begin. I have spent time on 7 phone calls with them AFTER claim approval and have yet to see a repair engineer in my home. First them claim a company will arrive only to wait until the date and no one shows. Phone calls later is turns out the company didn't accept the repair and Asurion does not contact you. Then my claim is "escalated" and I am assured another company will show up on a second date. Needless to say the 2nd company says that Home Depot does not know their schedule and no appointment is confirmed. Each and every phone call may take 30 minutes of your time.
I have decided that this is not a worthwhile product and you are much better off buying your own parts or hiring a 3rd party to conduct the repair. Maddening!
They were supposed to deliver a replacement phone to me the same day, Then i received a call stating the delivery car broke down and would be the next day after another day passed I called and asked for the status of the order, the CSR could not give me the info then stated the phone was on backorder, When I asked for a supervisor he kept talking over me and making me angrier than I was for the lying to me. I finally told him just to shut up and transfer me and the wimpy man who could not do the job in the first place hung up on me. I guess I offended him. They stated on the system that they would prosecute for mis-information and fraud, gee I wish I could prosecute them for the same.
They destroyed our tablet without our permission and refuse to compensate us the amount we requested.
Answer: Asurion insurance is who: Cricket Wireless, Verizon, & most remaining cell phone companies are with now! Just be careful b/c they are IMO SCAMMERS that will get you at one time or another!
Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
