A Big AsurionScam
October 7, 2022

After 12 months paying this Big Scam company Asurion. 2 weeks ago I filled my first claims with them about my 2 tablets cracked screen. 2 weeks later they never approved for my claim or resolved. I ended up canceling my account today. Of course I'm going to make sure they don't continue to charge me as many customers have reported that too. Strongly don't recommend this big scam company call AsurionScam.

Terrible service.

I have been paying for Asurion for several years for insurance for my cell phone. When I finally needed to use the insurance, I filled out all the required information online and submitted the claim. They indicated that they would send a representative out to replace my phone, and setup a window that they would be on location. They no-call no-show and never came out. They then indicated via phone that in fact, this isn't a service they do in house, and that they contract this out and have no control whatsoever on their providers. They are happy to reschedule the service day after day, but there's no guarantee that they'll fulfill their obligation. I ended up having to purchase a new phone from a different company, because they aren't able to fulfill contractual obligations.

Absolute Racket

This company is such a joke. I had to call five times to get my claim filed correctly. I just need a screen repair and they refused to submit it as a repair and not a replacement. I drove the device to a location to get confirmation it was repair only and it was. After all that, they used the wrong IMEI and I had to call back while sitting in the parking lot.

Tired of Verizon

So this is the 2nd time in the last few years I have had to use My insurance to replace my phone and both times the rebuilt phone I get is an absolute piece of $#*!. Very slow and I have to restart it daily. On top of that there was a $230 deductible. When the Bluetooth connects in my truck it says the previous owners name on the screen. I have been a Verizon customer for almost 20 years and I pay $120 a month for 1 phone and I don't have unlimited data. My girlfriend has smart talk and pays less then $50 a month and has unlimited data and much better service so guess what Verizon, you just lost a long time customer. Pretty sad that they offer much better deals and options to brand new customers and the loyal customers that have been with them for 20 years literally gets screwed

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

My phone and wallet were stolen so I don't have access to anything. They told me that they were going to be coming to my house anywhere between 5-7pm. DID NOT SHOW. DID NOT CALL. It was 7:30pm and I called them to find out that they put "notes in their system" that they could not make it. Then they proceeded to say that they will have to ship my phone. I have currently been without a phone for 4 days. The lady on customer service said for herself that there is always a problem with the drivers not delivering the items on time. I am extremely frustrated. I have to use a phone for work, it is not ideal to go almost an entire week without a phone. These people suck. Did not offer me a refund, still had to pay the same amount of money AND MORE for FedEx shipping

Be polite but persistent. Even insistent if polite and taking the time to explain your needs.

I tried to use their website to open a claim. I would have had to lie. Using the phone it took 10 calls. 10 times I had to verify to start a claim, computer couldn't continue a claim. Customer service found my claim a few times but I started a new claim at least 4 times due to something erroneously closing my claim more likely 6 times. Heroically, a supervisor (someone answering the phone handed me up a level upon explaining this was my 10th try and I had been cleared and approved, authenticated and all that at least 4 times) stoically rode 2 new claims to denial and then completion in one marathon call. It's not that good people don't work there. It's apparently limitations put on them and the computer system they use. After about 7 days of escalating frequency of calls, and lots of patience, it appears my claim is resolved. Hugs to all involved, and prayers for those who will make things better in the future! Jc

Phone was not working. They charged 165.00 sent out a phone that sends doubles... not sure who is saying what. In the meantime husband broke back of his phone. They sent a different phone out another 165.00 a g10 not a g9 so now new case another 50 bucks. 380.00 later my phone still suck! Why do I have insurance?

Not worth it! Scan

Had the multi phone protection plan. One claim I filed they did send a refurbished phone. The other phone, nothing to do with screen being cracked and they said no worries. Claim denied and charged full-price. Had an issue with the refurbished phone being stuck in safe mode. Spent hours on the phone and online with Tech support multiple times and took to verizon store two times, nothing could be done. Finally get through to Asurion - had to talk to verizon first and get transferred. Telling me the phone is covered only to be on phone for 2 hours to say they won't cover it - as a crack in the screen - their out on doing anything. Took the phone to a repair store & the volume button was jammed in. Cancelled service immediately. Not worth your aggravation.

Rude, stonewalling first tier of customer service on the phone. Their pattern is to deny coverage, even though you point out to them where in the contract it is specifically covered. Then, when you ask for a supervisor to help resolve, it takes 10 minutes for the transfer and the supervisor hangs up on you.

My husband's phone is broken, we just got married, so i'm not on his verizon account yet. We have tried to call asurion to fill a claim for the broken phone and nothing will work. We've tried going into verizon, they tell us that we need to go to the asurion location, we do that and get told we have to go back to verizon. It's a lot of, "go ask your mom. Go ask your dad" Y'all need to get it together. Don't claim to help folks and then be the biggest pain in the $#*!.

Scam

Asurian is a Scam, it makes false promises on the website to fix or replace the phone within 1 to 2 days but that's not the case. I lost my iphone and submitted the claim. It's more then 6 days and my claim is still under review. Everytime I call them thrice a day and they say "you are all set" its just last step of interview that you need to go through before approving the claim but I never got a call for interview. Everytime I call them they say interview team is closed call back in one hour or call tomorrow and when I call tomorrow they say interview team is closed today call tomorrow at 11.30 and when I call tomorrow at 11.30 they say interview team is not yet opened call after 12.30 and it's been happening in the loop. Worst company ever.

ZERO STARS, ALL SALES PITCH

My work phone ended up in the washing machine, then the dryer. No worries, had insurance on all my phones. A new phone was quickly sent out but needed to be activated. This is where the customer service went into the toilet. It was VERY loud as other operators spoke on other calls in the background. While the brochure says "activate your phone in minuets" what they mean is 55 minutes. The employee had to get the #'s from my phone several times before it was activated. On top of it all, it was really about a sales pitch and after being turned down many times, the employees tone changed to less than desirable for a service call. They tried to sell me insurance on my phones, I HAVE insurance on all my phones, she kept pushing. It was NOT a good customer service experience for a seemingly easy transaction. Then after asking me if I had anything else to SAY, I expressed my dissatisfaction very politely. I get it, subjective, but I was polite, ask my wife who was in the room listening the whole time. Please Asurain, JUST activate my new phone, don't try to pressure up sale me with a product, insurance, that I already have.

Worst Insurance - Fake Insurance

Bought 2 policies on 2 bikes. Paid $100 for insurance. Took the bikes back a year and a half later to get a simple tune up on each - $120 dollars worth of service.

We've now submitted 8 forms to the company, generated 4 claims, been denied twice, contacted customer support twice, and our bikes are still sitting at $#*!'s over a week later.

Would never recommend this service. Parts aren't even included in the insurance repairs- it's terrible coverage, which you'll never be able to redeem based on their impossible process.

Save yourself the headache and just pay out of pocket if you need repairs. The insurance likely won't cover anything major anyway.

Awful!

I had to call back two more times after they said my replacement phone was being sent- it wasn't until the third time that they actually processed it to be shipped. The phone I received was floating around a huge box and ended up arriving damaged. Had to go through all of the paperwork again to get the replacement replaced. Their website never works, the emails and texts they sent are not received. After confirming my replacement they told me I'd get an update in 24 hrs. After a week I called back and they said that they needed me to just call back to confirm (yes I checked my junk mail). Useless service, every person gives different information.

A True Scam

I was told that if I paid for this insurance that I could get all of the electronics that get broken in my house fixed just by taking it in to this little business in my city, but that is a lie. First you have to file a claim online, but the process is unclear and when you think you have done it, you really haven't. So, I went to my appointment, and they said that I still couldn't get it fixed. Then when I asked the company to help me, they got me on the phone to update my info and file a claim, but then they denied my claim because my information did not match. They will not do anything but take your money!

Inept customer service
September 25, 2022

After scheduling a repair for broken back glass of a business phone waiting 3 days day of scheduled repair they said they didnt have the parts and new repair would take place 6 days later. Unacceptable for a business phone so I called just to be informed they "can't do" back screen repair and wanted to charge me for a full replacement that I would have to wait days to receive. Was able to locate a local shop located inside of Walmart that was able to repair back glass. How a small store like that can repair what an insurance claim company cannot with in a few hours is beyond me. Over 4 hours on the phone trying to find resolution and being willing to drive to one of their stores for repair only to hear they want to charge for a full replacement. They will not cover the cost of the repairs so I am paying out of pocket. Their service is so completely inept I may change phone providers to a company that doesn't use them for insurance claims. Would give 0 stars if it was an available option.

This company likes to take 300 dollars from a family with kids in the middle of the month. For a phone that they say wasn't sent to them this week but last week was sending a refund because they found it. So which is it asurion? Sent back or not!?! Its ok see ya in court!
