It is worth buying Asurion product protection plans. I had bought several in the distant past but forgot I had bought them and never used them. So, I stopped buying them for quite some time. Then I decided to buy them again for a few recent product purchases and I'm happy I did. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

First time filing a claim with Asurion. Hassel Free, easy and painless. If all of the companies, I have to deal with were this easy I would not need a Blood Pressure Machine!
The tech coach that help me activate my iPad to my line was awesome. I did not know about the protection plan until she explained it to me. Very good home protection plan. I will look into it.
When I went to Apple to get my iPad fixed, they told me it will cost me $600 and they don't know if they were even able to fix it. Neither Best Buy, where I bought it from, were able to fix it or I guess allowed to fix it.
However, thankfully, I had registered for an Asurion plan earlier this summer, so I decided to file a claim and then stop by the uBreakiFix shop in Huntington Station, NY.
They said they will take it in and call me the next day about next steps. They called me next day and they called me at 10 am EST to tell me they identified the issue and called me again at 3 pm EST to tell me they had fixed everything and even backed my data on the iCloud, which I thought was a lost cause.
I owe so much to these people and to Asurion. You guys enabled me to keep my data and all my photos I thought were goners for sure.
I will keep using Asurion and I would even forego Apple Care since these guys do it even better than the Apple "Genius" teams do it. 10/10.

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
