Typical scam. I paid for Asurion when I purchased something on Amazon. It had issues within 10 days. I couldn't file a claim because I needed to wait a month after purchasing the item before I can create a claim, therefore, I needed to pay 2 months to Asurion before I could receive benefits. It's $17 a month for Asurion.
(i.e. If you bought an item for $40, and also bought Asurion coverage, so you spent $40 PLUS the $17 monthly payment for Asurion. They require 2 months of payments before coverage. That's $34 to Asurion already, so you get $7 back towards your item IF they accept the claim).
I called and the voice prompts did everything they could to direct me to a text chat instead of voice chat. I finally got a hold of somebody and asked why I couldn't file a claim? They said it was in the terms and conditions. I asked what was the reason for paying the first month then? Why was I not covered after paying the first month? Legit question and they had no response besides "terms and conditions".
That right there told me they are not easy to work with and the claim would probably get denied. Already not worth it considering they need 2 months of payments before coverage.
Amazon needs to drop those guys before a huge lawsuit happens. What a trash way to conduct your company business.

I lost my phone and tried tracking it myself for a few weeks. I finally gave up and called Asurion as I remembered that I had insurance I got my replacement phone in two days. The best decision I have made to take out insurance.

Answer: Well, when that happened to me they sent me their IMO SPYWARE phone by the next day. I think it was like twenty-five days for my phone! I hope you kept your charger, case, & took the cards out of your phone first!
