AshleyMadison.com is one of the very best sites you will find. But it has some issues: To be honest, it is really a very slow and of course expensive process to hook up. As I experienced you will achieve faster results on some other sites, like Saphrina.com and some AFF sites.
After all, I have been lucky on Ashley Madison as well! But again: It takes patience and some cash.

Tried few affair sites and here's what I figured out: AM looks great site before you pay, then you will get conversations with someone, but who knows who they are. After a while when your nearly out of credits they just stop replying. Also the ones whose profile you have checked out, just happen to be the ones allways on line, funny how they never reply though. I didn't want to keep paying, so I left the site.

Many fake profiles on this site. Wasn't able to meet with one single woman but I chatted with a few! Maybe it was me that I wasn't lucky! Don't know if there are A N Y good sites out there where you will actually DATE REAL women. AM is full of fake profiles, as much as any other dating site is (ok maybe a little bit more due to its popularity), but if you're not stupid, you can easily recognize and ignore them.
I travel a lot and AM and nostringsaffar.com are the sites I use for my discreet adventures (using both of them just doubles up my chances and also there could be lack of members on AM in some areas, while there's enough of them on nostringsaffair and vice versa).
Jioned am and almost instantly contacted by strippers wanting you to go to another site and join and watch them, was recently supprised to be contact by a 26 year old female working in Nigeria as a nurse with the UN, pictures and all turned out to be a Nigerian scam for money. This site is a place for strippers to pick up new clients and now Nigerian scammers to target people, girls uou may see a photo but you don't have any idea if its him or a nigerian targeting you

I have tested AshleyMadison for a period of 6 months. But that was some time ago in 2014. Right now I agree with some guys: Saphrina and maybe some other smaller sites will do a better job for now. It is absolutely not easy to hook up with people on AshleyMadison. Unfortunately, you will find plenty of fake profiles as well as you will still find many real profiles as well. As mentioned: It is not easy to hook up-especially if you are a man-but it is possible. The main problem I see is that it is kind of expensive. The so called credits are used before you even go on a date and that will be the biggest disadvantage using this site compared to other sites.
I still use it on regular basis, but to double up your chances, try nostringsaffair ;)
Can't agree that online dating is dead. There's still a lot of sites providing a great service and ashleymadison is one of the best in its field. I think they need to pay more attention to the quality of the database though. But it's not difficult to distinguish fake members from real ones.

I used AshleyMadison in 2013 and I really liked it back in the days. Yes, I agree with many other reviewers that Saphrina is the new "site to use" in 2015 because you will most likely find more real profiles. But AshleyMadison is one of the better affair dating sites because 90% of all the other sites are pure scam. Do not pay attention to all the negative reviews.
AM is a leader in affair niche, but it is not the same site it used to be back in the day. Agree with other guys here - nostringsaffair.com is probably the best alternative if you're looking for one.

Many - mostly male - users complaining about AshleyMadison.com... well, why don´t you all use alternative affair websites... instead you all complain about expensive credits and hacker problems.
AshleyMadison.com is not as bad as most poeple try to tell you. Maybe there are better websites. It is all about try and error.
Seriously. Of course AM has lots of disadvantages, but we don't live in an ideal world and AM being a pioneer in extramarital affairs is even more than just OK.
Given I travel a lot for work, Ive used AM, VM and nostringsaffair.com a lot to find affairs with no strings attached while on the road. All of these sites work quite good for me. I see people complaining on lack of real members... guys, there's plenty of real women on affair sites. And given that majority of such sites are men, I personally think that fake profiles aspect is sort of natural selection :) So only smart ones will be able to get in touch with me
