Customer Service
December 30, 2022

I have spent the last 3 weeks fighting with Ashley Furniture customer service about a chair I purchased online in the store. Once your furniture is delivered, Ashley Furniture washes their hands and your on your own. Ashleyis the worst company I have ever done business with. When the chair was delivered I was not given the chance to sit in it, which is the policy. You can keep it or refuse it. The delivery men left before I had time to refuse it.

I do not like the chair so I went back to the store and told the manager what happened when the chair was delivered. The manager told me that I could return the chair and get another one.
She did the transaction and then I never heard from her again. When I called the store, I was told that the manager couldn't help me and I would have to call customer.

I have called customer service everyday for 3 weeks and have been told a different story every time. The last rep told me that a technician would have to come look at the chair. The chair is not broken. The problem is that I was not given the chance to keep it or refuse it.

The rep I spoke to today said Ashley has a no return policy and there was nothing they could do to help. That is the first true statement I have been told.
This has been a nightmare. I have been lied to over and over. I cannot believe that a big store like Ashley has no one available to help with a problem like mine.

It was NOT my fault the delivery men left before I sat in the chair. So who is responsible?

Everybody told me not to buy from them.
December 30, 2022

Everyone told me not to buy here because their customer service is the worst in the world! But, It was the only place I could buy two specific piece I wanted to make my life easier because I was going to have surgery.

Well, all my friends were right. I am kicking myself of course.

I ordered two pieces that took me about 4 hours of searching on. That was supposed to be in stock and could be delivered before my surgery which would be in 3 wks. My wonderful sales person (David) worked very hard as we went through the whole store looking for pieces that would work for me and would be delivered on time.

I schedule my day off for delivery date. They were good about notifying me about delivery and time. Delivery comes and they only have 1 of my 2 pieces, ask them where the other is... they don't know they are just delivery people.

I call Ashley's which in itself is a hassle as you have to go through customer service for all of Ashley's. No one speaks proper English, she was Hispanic with a heavy accent. (sorry if that offends but I could not understand 1 word from the first person I talked too, had to call again to get someone I could understand). You have to answer all kinds of questions about why you want to talk to that Ashley's store. What the hell? Why can not just call the store I want to and talk to someone, without going through 40 questions?

Anyway, I talk to another sales person finally (Andrew) because my sales person was off today. Andrew is very nice and tries to help me but says what he found out is my 2nd piece is now delayed a month because they over booked the truck and the only other piece they have in warehouse is scratched. (well glad they didn't send me that one.) But how the heck do you over book a truck? You don't know how much your trucks can carry? And I bought something that you said you had in warehouse and you didn't know that one was scratched before you sold it to me?

Why didn't I listen to my friends? They said I would have nothing but headaches! Someone get me some Advil please!

Horrible Quality
December 28, 2022

My daughter bought a buffet and waited 3 months for her furniture. When it arrived the doors were broken and the top and sides had deep scratches. The store was contacted immediately and they refused to exchange or return the item for a full refund. They insisted she would have to pay a restocking fee of about $700.00. Ashley Home furniture sent out a repair person and ended up taking the buffet for 3 weeks. When it was returned it was the same broken buffet with an extra piece of wood screwed to the inside of the doors and a new hinge was put on making new holes.
When you pay just over $2000.00 for a piece of furniture you expect it to be good quality and in brand new perfect condition when it arrives. Ordering from Ashley you definitely are not getting that. Your forced to pay in full and then wait for your product. So no matter what they give you it's yours regardless of the condition it arrives in! Buyer beware! If you don't mind giving your money away for very poor quality furniture and the worst customer service then feel free to shop here. Otherwise stay far far away from Ashley home stores.

90 Day Comfort Guarantee on Mattress misleading
December 27, 2022

DO NOT BUY MATTRESS from Ashley and DO NOT use RUDY for sales rep in Ft Worth store! 90 - Day comfort guarantee on $3200 mattress was bogus! I purchased an expensive mattress from Ashley Furniture in Ft Worth Texas. Our sales rep., Rudy, said our mattress came with a 90 day comfort guarantee. I had to keep mattress for at least 30 days then could exchange for same price or higher if we decide we did not like mattress. Rudy then asked if I wanted to pay an additional $299 for a mattress protecting warranty. I said no, then asked if it would effect the 90 day guarantee, Rudy said no, just tell customer service I used my own mattress protective covering, which we did. We purchased a waterproof protective mattress cover. I went to store on day 31 and spoke with Rudy asking to exchange mattress. He pulled up our account and said no problem, we picked out new mattress. Rudy then asked if we had contacted customer service. (Never mentioned warranty and even told my husband we could exchange) We had not, so Rudy said he would email customer service and have someone contact us to get exchange started. Six days later, no contact. We reached out to Rudy, who dropped the ball and forgot to email customer service. He told us to call them. I called customer service who asked for pictures of mattress, box springs, tag on mattress and our warranty. I said we did not purchase warranty but used our own mattress protective cover. Immediately I was told the 90 day comfort guarantee is voided and we could not exchange mattress. I told them Rudy said we could and they said he was wrong. I reached back out to Rudy, who will no longer return my call or text messages. We are now stuck with a $3200 mattress. I was lied to and verbally told I had the 90 day guarantee. I was told to sign paperwork that said I did not purchase warranty but again told with my own protective covering I would still be covered. All we want is to exchange, we do not want our money back.

Service sucks
December 26, 2022

I bought a sofa and it was back ordered for 6 weeks. Then it was scheduled for delivery but said no one was home when no attempt was made. I called and they said the sofa wasn't on the truck. The conflicting stories they continued to give me were unacceptable. Asked for a refund and had to call 12 times to get it completed after the call kept getting disconnected.

I wouldn't let my worst enemy buy from them!
December 25, 2022

Do not let your worst enemy shop there! From sales selling incorrect items, items that couldn't be attached and lying about financing or offer deals to the rude manager at the store not offering any sympathy for the repeated problems to the contracted out delivery company that was late, no shows, dropped the in wrapped furniture, sweat on it, shoved it through the door, damaged it and our property to the customer service departments who offered financial restitution for all the mess ups but then changed them to fit their needs and never sent us communication then denied us a full refund only partial, as we already received funds earlier, when an item couldn't be used brand new through no fault to us then back to delivery team or someone who harassed us daily 3 texts, 3 emails and 3 phone calls to pick up the item, which I ignored them all but they showed up anyway! After a BBB case and their refusal to refund an additional $113 and almost 3 months battling, we gave up and took the partial refund. Horrible company!

Horrible Customer Service
December 24, 2022

I purchased furniture to be delivered to my new home after closing. Instead, Ashley shipped them to my house I didn't even own yet. I cancelled the order and they picked the furniture up. I've called 18 times to get my refund and each time I am assured someone from their esclation department will call me back. Each time I call, I have to tell the entire story over again and often times, their customer service agents do not speak great English and struggle to understand. I would never buy from them again. I just disputed their charge with my credit card company as I'm so over this. They picked up their furniture 16 days ago and say they can't find it showing in their warehouse. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY!

December 24, 2022

We bought a mattress and adjustable frame. Mattress came with hole in it they replaced it but it was a big inconvenience. We are now waiting on a couch that was supposed to be here two weeks ago. It finally showed up yesterday it was the wrong couch not even the right color. It was on its way today Christmas eve, now it's not. This place is terrible the white glove service is terrible we will never buy from here again if I were you I would be smart and buy elsewhere. Avoid Ashley they lie then lie again and again. This has been the worst and biggest inconvenience ever. My friends and family will know to never shop here, ever!

Do not buy
December 20, 2022

I made a big mistake. I paid $5000 for 2 couches and matching tables. I also purchased a Platinum extended warranty. After 8 months the couch seats caved in. The couch is almost 2 years old now. I have called Ashleys and the extended warranty department weekly to get this resolved. Its always the other guys problem. After 2 years I finally got a technician scheduled to come out. He never showed. After being on the phone for over an hour, I was told it was canceled because I didn't pay $65 upfront. No one ever said anything about a $65 charge. Now I have to start all over again. What a joke. They will take your money but will not stand behind their products.

Lie, Lies, and More Lies!
December 13, 2022

I closed on my home in September of this year, excitedly went into Ashley furniture to furnish my ne home. Purchased a Living room set, Dinner table and King Bedroom Set... I was advised a delivery time of mid October. The sectional I selected was only waiting on one piece. Well here I am mid December and I have only received my bed one week ago, everything else mysteriously disappeared from their warehouse and I am now getting an estimated deliver date of sometime in February and that is not guaranteed. It is a waste of time calling the Customer service line or going into the store. The salesman does not return calls and when he see me coming he runs and hide. I am so disappointed in their service, i will never by anything else ever from this company again. Buyers be war. Everyone that i have spoken to personally about my experience with Ashley Homestore furniture laughs and share with me about their horror story as well. They will take your money and tell nothing but lies and you will wait almost a year to get your furniture. Run fast do not purchase from this Company do the research and read the reviews they are all true.

Very poor quality and service!
December 12, 2022

Ashley's... Never Ever Again.
Lipstick on a Pig. Table delivered by Ashley, the Server and chairs were drop shipped. The shipment with the server was obviously dropped from a substantial height. It was smashed to pieces. Sent them pictures and they were sending me another one, telling me that I was responsible for disposing of the broken one. I thought they should pick it back up, said wasn't their policy. How was a 75 year old guy just supposed to do that? Looked pretty in the store, then you get it and see how it's made after looking at the pieces. "junk". Then the table and chairs arrive. Table had some scratches on it and the center portion didn't touch, you could look right through the table. A couple of chairs had scratches also. The service guy came and said he would replace the table and the two chairs. They would take back the table but not the chairs. SecondServer arrived in worse shape than the first one. Called them up, sent more pictures said they'd get back to me. Never heard from them. Called in again, couldn't find my pictures, had to send them again. At this point, I decided I didn't want any of it, so I canceled the replacement of the table and two chairs. Again I was told that it was MY responsibility to dispose of both of them. Now I have two 100 pound boxes in my dining room. They kept disconnecting me, finally I got to a supervisor and he agreed to have FedEx pick them up and ship them back. Now I'm still dealing with the table and chairs, I was given a number to call to schedule picking up the table. They would not pick up the chairs because they were drop shipped and I was first told to dispose of them. I called to have the table picked up and they refuse to pick it up said they don't do that anymore call the online store again and they said no they have to pick it up. Went through this again with several phone calls finally called the online store and they agreed to let me turn the table and chairs to a Non-Profit Agency and send them a copy of the receipt. And if it wasn't done in the next three days I would have gone over there timeframe for returning items and I would not get reimbursed. I said I have three weeks of emails and phone conversations trying to get this done. I asked for a supervisor, none were available. Called my neighbor, put it all in his truck and took it to town. Done! Emailed the receipt that afternoon. I waited two days, didn't hear anything from them so I called. I was told that my case was closed, all the tickets on my items had been closed out. After a little discussion, I again was asked to send another copy of the receipt via email. When they got it, I was told I wasn't supposed to donate the table it was supposed to be turned in. And I was told they don't know if I can get reimbursed for it. I told them I had an email telling me to donate the tables and chairs they said they wanted to see it said to forward the email back to them after they got it they said they had to take it up to the supervisor because this was not proper procedure. After discussing this with a supervisor he agreed to pay me for all my items finally.
I got several emails from them asking how I liked my new furniture... I waited until my refunds hit the bank before writing this. Heed my Warning!
Never Ever Ever Again will I shop at Ashley's!

Rip offs! Don't do it!
December 12, 2022

I bought a 7pc dining set with hutch and a sectional couch. I paid $300 for assembly of the dining set. After arguing that the assembly was for the couch! There is nothing to assemble on a couch! That finally was straightened out and now are refusing to assemble anything but the table. 4 legs for $300! Are you kidding me! They refuse to give me a refund and say that I need to cancel my order and order the table separately which will cost even more money! I'm so frustrated with the customer service of this company!

If I could give a zero I would
December 12, 2022

This is the worst furniture company I have ever dealt with. They are scam artists I bought a loveseat and a bed over 5000 total when I was told it would be under a 1000 but when they rang it up and processed it they refused to cancel the sale. When the furniture was delivered it had a mouse either I. The couch or bed drawers. And now less than a month my couch arm stuffing is falling out the zipper is broken and they refuse to replace it. Bytheville Ashley's has horrible management and a swindler of a salesman named Paul he is a smooth talker a liar and takes advantage of women who come in there. NEVER GO TO THIS FURNITURE COMPNAY ANYWHERE THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU OR REPLACE YOUR BRAND NEW FURNITURE oh don't try to upload pictures it won't let you

If I can give a 0 I would!
December 9, 2022

I am REALLY NOT one to write reviews… and it takes a lot to make me angry…but this… my heart hurts! When I first ordered Ashley Furniture back in 2020, my husband and I had difficulties with all of the parts coming with the delivery and set up. The delivery crew said they brought the wrong parts for our bed… took 3 weeks for them to bring the CORRECT parts and get the actual bed put together… THEN, it wasn't even put together correctly and still shows to have pieces missing (to this day). Fast forward to 2022, I figured things should have changed over 2 years right? WRONG! I ordered a table set and it was suppose to be delivered 12/7/22. So we scheduled our Christmas gathering the following weekend. We got emails, calls and text messages CONFIRMING the delivery on 12/7/22. Was it delivered? No… it showed canceled and removed from the scheduling department. So I call customer service (that was absolutely no help at all)… and they told me that it was at the warehouse and ready to be delivered but won't be delivered until 12/14. Which my husband and I work that day. So on the Ashley Furniture chat, a kind operator (Vikas) told me that I could have it delivered on 12/13 at 6pm and NO FURTHER THAN THAT! I accepted that offer because I am off that day! So we rescheduled our Christmas gathering for 12/13/22! I start receiving messages for delivery on 12/14/22! NOOOO! I had to call and chat AGAIN… after being given the run around non stop and absolutely no help… I was still just given the information of being delivered on 12/14/22 without even attempting to put my order back to delivery on 12/13/22… Ashley Furniture sure knows how to ruin a family Christmas! Not once but TWICE! I darn sure hope my table is perfect when it gets delivered and nothing missing from it or destroyed in any way! (Oh and I hadn't mentioned the fact that they screwed up my account information and changed it all to my husband as he was only suppose to be my secondary contact… SHAKE MY HEAD!) I hope this shows people that the furniture is decent, but can only be more than decent if it's delivered on time and with all of the pieces!

Worst experience I've had buying furniture
December 7, 2022

Went into glendale az store worked with Darrin Linsinbardt. Purchased 4 barstools for 189.99. Got home and receipt showed 227.99. When barstools come all four of them are used with scratches and even stains. I refused them. Them im told they will receiver them twice and given 30 off each stool. I look at my receipt to get info and realize they overcharged me to begin with. Spent almost 6000.00 bucks. Sales rep tells me rudely you don't want them then don't get em. Horrible experience. I'm a decorator and will continue to use living spaces, wayfair and overstock. This place is like a used car showroom. Trust me. Don't do it. I also found the 4000 dollar sectional I bought elsewhere for 3000.00. To bad I couldn't return that. Never again.

Shop elsewhere!
December 7, 2022

Bought over $7000 worth and got the extended warranty. Sales told us they cover anything. Then we have issues and 1st fix they took our table to shop and fixed it. Same issue arises and they say they should never have fixed it? Refused to help. So our $600 for warranty was bull. Never ever shop here. Should have stuck with the brick as they at least stick to their warranty.

So Disappointing
December 6, 2022

I ordered furniture in October 2022! My delivery dates for my order have been moved 5 times. They have no idea when item will ship it is so ridiculous, I have been requesting days off then have to change them when the email comes through. Do not attempt to get furniture here you will regret it. I am super stressed because i have night tables and they won't take them back otherwise i would go elsewhere in a heartbeat!

I tried calling corporate but that was a waste of time. DO NOT ORDER FROM ASHLEY'S ONLINE! Just go elsewhere you won't regret it!
