Following up:
It turned out that architecturaldepot.com WAS INDEED a great place to do business! My chair rail and crown molding was FLAWLESS, and exactly as advertised. The finish on the crown may be primer, but it is cosmetically perfect, and looks like a factory flat white. There is nothing in my house that is painted so well. There is no way I could duplicate that finish with a coat of paint, and I am considering just leaving it alone because all I will do by painting it is degrade the quality. I was impressed with the packaging as well. The super long boxes were very sturdy and protected my molding against rough handling. I HIGHLY recommend this great company, and it is RARE that I am fully satisfied with things I buy because I am very particular about quality.
