We didn't know what to do or how to find a retirement community for my sister. I filled out the form on line and a place for mom contacted me and talked me through options. We then received calls and emails from several places. We had multiple options in our budget. This is a wonderful service and I highly recommend them.
From the first phone call, A Place for Mom, was friendly and educational. They took our information and immediately matched us to available places and even helped set up the interviews. We narrowed it down from 6 quickly, and had 2 awesome places to decide from. We made a great choice and could not be happier with the caring community we found for my mom. Gave me a place to start, I appreciate that. When I talked with the consultant, they prematurely set up tours that I was not ready to do yet. However, understanding that I could was helpful. Talking with each of the facilities managers was wonderful - they were very very helpful.

Our counselor Stephenee was incredibly helpful. After gathering some information about my mother, her situation and finances, she sent us a list of several possibilities. Since my mother lives out of town and will be moving to my area, I visited the suggested senior communities. I also got ideas from my neighborhood listserv. My mother came to town and saw the top 4 of the ones I visited. Actually, she only saw three, because she loves the third one and decided to go there.
