Our families' experience with a Place For Mom was very enjoyable and easy. Shilah was very knowledgeable and available to help whenever we had questions or needed tours set up.

Looking to move Mom and changing cities. The advisor James provided me with recommendations and reviews about each location in Mom's budget. He helped set up visiting appointments and followed up with me about each place.

Communities I knew were those that parents of my peers lived but all were outside of my mom's budget. Internet searches brought dozens of communities but no specific information. Kristen at A Place for Mom contacted me and we talked through my mom's needs. She provided a list of possibilities and contact information. Some were communities I had already identified via internet but others were ones I hadn't considered. I narrowed the list with my mom and we scheduled a few tours. Kristen checked in throughout the process to answer questions and offer support. We identified a community for my mom and she will be moving in this month. A Place for Mom is a good resource for a process that gets overwhelming very quickly.

Gave us a great recommendation for Monticello Park and arranged a tour which led to my friend moving in.

Having found places in a small town for my parents years ago wasn't difficult because there were just a couple places to choose from.
However, in a large city with many suburbs can be a totally overwhelming experience. So when it came time to find a facility for my spouse I decided to ask for help. Pleased with the Assisted Living Facility that A Place for Mom recommended. It is a smaller place with fewer residents which will definitely fit my Mom's needs since she likes a quiet environment. She managed to get a nice room on the first floor with easy access to the dining area. I would definitly use A Place for Mom if I had to find another loved one a Senior Living Facility. It saved me a lot of work!

We were led to an assisted living place that I didn't know existed. It turned out to be the perfect match for my mother in law. I'm so glad I contacted A Place for Mom because it made a seemingly daunting task become smooth and manageable.

When suddenly needing 4 to 6 weeks of respite for a non-weight-bearing ankle surgery, I called A Place For Mom. Heather was wonderful in finding a place for me to park myself where I would be safe and comfortable. I knew it was not whether my wife would need care for her severe dementia and physical infirmities, but when.
I'd been holding on with a wonderful nanny, 8 hours a day, seven days a week for about a year, and the toll on me, physically and mentally, was all of the things caregivers are told to expect.
Did some research on local facilities, and found a myriad of ALF's, nursing homes, etc.
My inquiries to some were either ignored, or I soon realized most were very high priced self sufficient places with minimal attention to the memory care area.
I'd seen some tv ads for A place for Mom, and figured I'd give them a try. Made my initial contact on line, and was promptly called by Tom Schlagel.
Wow, what a breath of relief and fresh air.
Tom went over my wife's condition in detail, and promptly, within a day, began suggesting facilities in my area and arranging appointments.
I soon separated the glitz from the reality of real memory care, and narrowing it to two, was able to place my wife in the facility I hope will suit her best.
Throughout the entire process, Tom was in contact, literally daily, and was a great sounding board.
This is probably the most difficult decision I have had to make in my life, separating from my love ot 63 years, but I could not have done it without the support of Tom and 'A place for Mom".
