I couldn't have figured out which assisted places to even start looking at without the help from A Place For Mom. Their help and knowledge was so helpful in our process. They were with us every step of the way! Because of them we were able to narrow it down to several places, which we went to interview and then eventually found a place for the folks to go see. They are now in their new assisted home and doing much better than previously.

After getting a disturbing diagnosis for my mom, I had to find care options that fitted her specific situation. I did not need for assistant living, but I needed something with an independent living feel that had the services I needed. Mary got in touch with me and heard all of the things I needed for my mom. She immediately looked up resources within my budget, and that was on a Friday by Monday. We had found my mom's new home that had everything she wanted and everything I wanted to ensure a great quality of life and the security that I wanted. And all within my budget, although there were plenty other options to choose from Mary gave me the order of which would probably best fit my need and her number one was my number one. She even helped me find additional resources covered by insurance This service provided saved me from a strenuous search and an uneducated search. I was able to make a decision with my sanity and my peace of mind intact.

In only 2 weeks I got the place that I looked at and it was beautiful.

While the agents at A Place for Mom seem wonderful, I wish nursing homes / Senior Living were more transparent about pricing. They should have basic costs on their website, explain rates of yearly increases and list potential additional care costs. During a 6 month search for a future place for my mother in law, basic rent went from $3500 to $4400 a month. Only one place was able to share additional care costs as up to another $3700 a month and that was just a verbal amount. I can only imagine all the additional costs that will rack up. What does one do for a parent with limited means? Once a parent is in assisted living, costs keep going up and then when she cant pay, she has to leave. That is crazy.

I contacted the company on Sunday. Someone got back to me right away. By Monday I had several places scheduled to visit. Those places were very welcoming and had bearing price ranges. We found a place and was able to contract in about three weeks time definitely would recommend a place for mom. Outstanding service.

Was helpful to get a list of possible places to visit. Scheduled visits and emailed times to me. Not much conversation nor followup. I called places or they called me after visit. Very fortunately I found the perfect place on the first day of visits. I was thankful for the list of identified places. The service was well worth it!

Our family worked with A Place for Mom to help with a discharge from the hospital to Memory Care in Virginia. The response was very quick and they assisted us with securing a new placement on very short notice.

I had only just emailed 'a place for mom' when I immediately heard back from someone who assisted me daily with so many questions and options of care for my mom. David was so helpful and sent me so many highly rated ALF in my area that were all able to accommodate my situation immediately. The extra information I receive through email has also been a huge help in regards to what questions to ask when touring a facility right down to payment information. I called many state agencies and did not get any responses so this was my saving grace. I cannot sing their praises enough!

We ended up in a situation that required us to find care on short notice. When you sign up, two things happen...care communities start calling you and an advisor reaches out to you. The advisor was calming and a good resource during a fraught time. The number of communities calling was overwhelming, but probably helpful in nudging you to a decision.
