A Place for Mom was exceptional in helping me find a respite stay for my husband. Every employee I spoke with was knowledgeable, patient and caring. They provided a list of places suitable for our requirements and set up appointments for me to visit several accommodations, and all free of charge! I highly recommend A Place For Mom.
A place for mom found me a large list of places to look and i got to tour as many as i wanted
I am writing to advise how much Sharif Hamdan's assistance in helping me find senior housing was appreciated. He was massively helpful in many ways: 1. He was prompt in sending me places to look at that were in my area and budget. 2. He was available for any questions and to offer invaluable advise. He never made me feel rushed during our telephone conversations.
3. He was always personable and patient.
4. I believe that during the process of my finding housing that Sharif and I became friends. Sharif is a good man and an asset to "A Place for Mom". The company is lucky to have him. I would strongly urge that Sharif be given a substantial raise in pay. If he was as good, caring and compassionate to his other clients as he was to me - he is well deserving. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance. Sincerely,
Colleen Murphy

I signed in, got very very quick response from the "A Place for Mom" consultant. They gave out to 4 or 5 locations to reach out to me and it was overwhelming as I got calls right away as well as emails, etc. We did like several of the places that were recommended and chose one of them. The consultant did not have a lot of detailed information about the locations however as far as what is offered in the levels of care or the general cost factors. I think they are helpful for starting the process of finding a location.
They helped us go through a tough journey finding a place for my father that has dementia. They helped us find the perfect place for dad! They sent us lots of info to also help us go through this hard time in our lives. I would recommend them to everyone going through this type of journey.
I made a call and my rep helped me with options in my area. I explained our situation and considered her recommendations. Dawn even helped me connect and get a tour going. Be honest with what needs you have and they will refer you to the best matches.
If you don't know where to start in your search for care or even if you think you've got it all together, call A Place For Mom. They are amazingly informative and helpful! I would rate my experience with them 5 stars!
We called A Place for Mom when her care needs changed from senior Independent Living to Assisted or Memory care after a fall and hospitalization. We did not highly utilize our advisor for information, but I felt like we could if needed. Heidi was responsive and got us in contact with the care facilities that met the criteria we thought were appropriate. Having that list helped us set up tours and assessments for care quickly so that we could make a decision.
We needed to find independent living for a family member. Stacey at A Place for Mom carefully assessed our needs and provided a list of options. Within the hour, the facilities made contact with us. We were able to find a location for the family member within 24 hours. We chose the Forum at the Crossings in Indianapolis. The location we selected has far exceeded our expectations. Stephanie at the Forum went above and beyond to help us. We would strongly recommend A Place for Mom and Forum at the Crossings.
Extremely helpful place during a moment of crises. Information will come at you so fast which is a good thing because at least in my case fast information was necessary. Empathy was incredible. I would recommend them to anyone! Paul is a special human and I thank Barney everyday he exists!
They were most helpful in guiding me to the right place for my older sister. Starting out is the hardest part, and they made that comfortable and reassuring. Debbi was most helpful and would do follow ups to see how we were progressing. They gave knowledgeable information and ideas that helped us make the right choice.
I am so grateful for the team at A Place for Mom for helping me get help for my mom. They answered questions, made hospital visits and helped find an adult family home for my mom. I don't know what I would have done without their help.
Didn't listen and then gave my information to places I did not ask for or approve. When I expressed that I needed to look at places that saved money from where my dad is now, I was told that I didn't want to look at those kinds of places and that she knew what I would like. Basically, since he was at an overpriced place, the only kinds of places I should look at were other high-priced places. Let me rephrase, I was sent to places that were more than where he currently is. On top of all that, I now have facilities I did not ask to be put in contact with, emailing me. Basically, the business model of Place for Mom is to spam all the facilities around, not just the ones we talked about. Not helpful.
The first person was very helpful and then disappeared, having quit, the second person only contacted me once
Our representative, Rose, was amazingly patient and kind and helped me navigate the natural resistance I had to accepting the inevitable. She was very knowledgeable about properties in the area I was interested in and gave me ideas about properties outside this area to make an informed comparison and feel confident about my decision. I'm a world class procrastinator, thinking things will change, things will get better. Rose knew I needed help and she never gave up on me.
Fantastic, best value for the money and the staff and level of care that they provide exceeds what we were expecting. Exceptionally clean and well maintained and managed and the community gave us a " it's just like being at home " vibe.
Very helpful and friendly. Through all the information and places online, Jody made it easy to understand and was very helpful in guiding me through the process. We found a place for Mom, and we could not be happier. This is a trying process and can be very overwhelming, so thank you for everything!
The questions asked by our representative Steve Henry made it easy to find the senior apartments that would fit what my Moms needs. They would also schedule the appointments and cancel if needed.
Not only did she find a place within our budget, she EDUCATED me in the ways of the business of long term care! I wish I contacted her first!

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
