Hi all, Anyvan does not vouch for the character of their drivers and the insurance these driver parade are not checked. Also if any of your items breaks or go missing you are on your own.

A driver called Conrad Meades did a job for me on August 17th, 2020 after which a suitcase and some items in it went missing. Over two months I have tried dealing with the driver and Anyvan with both not wanting to responsibility.

Scumbags of a company
September 29, 2020

Take no liability for damages use third party movers who could literally be anyone who don't care about your stuff. Sofas and chair and other pieces of furniture covered in marks and scuffs. My wing back chair is missing a patch of leather. Apparently they don't take liability!

Totally rubbish!
September 2, 2020

Useless. Charged over 300 for a removal. Items damaged by unprofessional and uncaring people. Coffee table parts missing and damaged. Brand new bed ripped. Drier... cable partly ripped out and left dangerous. When I discovered it I'd already tried to use. Live and nuteral wires touching and shorted out my sockets. I complained only to be told they don't know how long it will take for me to have issues resolved. Pathetic.

Just to add they go on the side of the driver, who obviously deny any damage. I sent photos to prove, as requested, then they told me they also wanted photos prior to the move. I provided this knowing that the metadata can be used as with insurance companies, they claim it cannot be accessed except for on the original device. Total Bull. I have computer certifications. The driver "crashed the van" I have a witness. They will not accept a witness statement to a "crash" DEMAND CCTV! What a croc of chit. Anything to get out of paying for damage and/or loss of goods.

I will continue to review this company on as many review sites as possible. They ruin my items I will ruin their business.

First time I used them the van came way outside the 8am - 3pm timeframe (came at like 5.30pm). Second time, had to cancel a job and called them, and was well within the terms and conditions listed in their confirmation email to do so free of charge.

They charged me anyway and when I asked why, they literally lied and said that I didn't call on time which is a bold move for a big company as I have call logs on my phone. Had to raise a dispute through my bank and attach screenshots of the confirmation email showing their own terms and conditions and that they were breaking them, as well as screenshots of call logs.

What a difficult company and a pointless waste of time. Cannot recommend this company at all.

We had a few extra items that were not in the list. The items were two boards from a table and a desk, a small folding desk, the legs for the dismantled table and desk and a couple of black bags.
They didn't pick these items. The van was practically empty and they delivered the other items straight to our new house. I really don't see why. But anyway, they send photos to the offices of what was left behind and told us to call the customer service. We called the customer service, after 1-1.5 hours they replied and told us they would call us back with a quote.
We are still waiting for the call.
We put the stuff in a black cab and completed he move with half the price their website quote was (40£) to hire a new van.
Don't bother with these people, just hire a real man with a van. You cannot be expected to know all your items before you have actually packed. And then you are left with nothing to do. I was lucky this time. Next time I move I am not using this and I'll make sure none of my friends do.

I used Anyvan for moving. Every things went awful with them. They could not move my sofa and made excuse which sofa is too big even I paid money for moving it before in their invoice, After they received to new property they made excuse that we have delay and told me you should pay more!
At the end they left my stuff in parking!
I do NOT offer this service for any one.

Unfortunately, we have had a very bad experience with your service. When I was order the job, I have said we have double large wardrobe and baby cot. No body told me we need to dismantle them. Once the driver arrived the other man said the wardrobe is too heavy without communicating with his manager or telling me to dismantle them in the meantime when they were moving out the rest. The other man called the company just before leaving and simply said we could not do it. They did not accommodate the job they got and we ended up paying twice. My baby was left without bed for night-sleep and lots of more inconvenience happened. Your company did not even accept their fault and incomplete service just because you wanted to charge a lot.

I would give zero if I could! TERRIBLE experience as my son and I live abroad and needed a company to go in and collect my sons personal belongings from his student studio accommodation as he left UK due to Covid 19. I
Specifically asked if they do a packing service which she said yes and even gave me dimensions of boxes to which I told her I need 10. After she gave me the quote I left the chat to pay which they took the payment. The day of removal two men turned up without boxes and she never included my request on the quote. After 10 mins the men left so my sons belongings were never picked up. When I complained to head office they refused to offer me a refund for their blunder and said I would have to pay an extra 75 pounds for reschedule fee and extra 75 pounds for boxes and packing service after already paying 148 pounds to move and deliver a few items 21 miles from sons accommodation. Also they are making things difficult to send me a copy of the online transcripts from the online chat. Highly recommend to never use this company

Move booked for over 3 weeks. Delivery van allocated and scheduled to arrive between 3:19pm and 6:19pm.
Around 6pm the customer service calls: "The van is having some delays, we should probably reallocate to a different van to guarantee delivery on the day". And again: "We will get a van to you by 9pm, you will get a message soon"
Time passes. No updated tracking, no further news, nothing.
I reach out to them around 8:15pm: "Sorry but we are not getting a van to you today" - not ok, but what do you propose - "We can place a new tentative order for tomorrow, but we can't guarantee that a van will be allocated and we will do absolutely nothing to place a higher priority on the job because we are useless and a complete scam" - it took me a while to realise it was not some silly joke
Lesson learned: not a company to be trusted and definitely not for something like a time-critical move - whoever is reading this, it'll save you a lot of time not to make my same mistake. Just use anyone else but them

The driver and the service itself were great - no complaints there. What was disappointing was that AnyVan, despite telling us that we could edit the details of our load until a certain point before the pick-up time, charged us a huge and entirely unfair surcharge. None of the customer service reps was able to explain this, and it remains unclear whether there was simply a huge penalty or whether it was the change in the load that caused the price to surge (and in fact double). The size of the load did not really change, not did the load time - but AnyVan's algorithms came to a very different conclusion. Effectively, we switched from a few large boxes to a larger number of small boxes, so this may even have made loading easier.

What I am particularly disappointed by is that the problem only became apparent at a point when we were in no position to look for an alternative provider. Combined with the poor customer service the whole thing felt like a deliberate way of putting the customer in a tight spot with misleading device and then ripping them off when they have no option of backing out of the transaction. The follow-up customer service experience was fairly disappointing, too, and I never really got the feeling that AnyVan had understood how badly they had got it wrong, and how unethical their behaviour is.

I will never use AnyVan again, and I will continue to advise anyone I talk to against using them.

I used this service because the website states that your move is insured - I thought this made it worth paying the extra money rather than just using someone with a van or hiring a van and moving myself.

The driver lost a supporting beam for my table in the move. When I contacted the company about this, they said they would get back in touch and it took a full month of me chasing them for them to finally tell me that my items were only insured if the driver stole the entire contents of my move or if the van set on fire and all items were destroyed - apparently individual items aren't covered.

I'm obviously shocked by this policy and now have to replace a full table that cost me £325 because the driver has lost a beam that it is useless without.

I work from home and not having my table for a month has been extremely inconvenient. If I had been told this policy in the first place when I first complained, I would have looked at replacing my table sooner rather than waiting for a month to be told they won't be taking any action.

It's particularly frustrating, as the driver claimed the beam was never there and that they moved the table in two parts. The table was actually moved in six parts, with the driver delivering five of the six parts, so their story clearly isn't true. I understand that drivers must move a lot of items and probably don't remember specific items from individual moves, but it's clear that Anyvan's policies remove responsibility for lost items from their shoulders if they simply say they never saw an item or deny it even existed. Of course, nobody is going to admit they lost an item if they know they can simply deny having ever seen it, so it's not great for the customer.

All in all, I'm really disappointed and have lost £325 due to the driver's negligence and dishonesty and the company's unfair policies.

Scratched furniture
February 27, 2020

Scratches on my furniture after dragging not lifting the top section of my display cabinet. The two removal men were told 3 times to lift the top but this was totally ignored. I informed the company before the furniture was moved to the destination point. I thought at the time that something would be done - not likely. I have sent photos of the damage and basically it's my word against the transport provider NOT Anyvan. Although the men said they couldn't see any damage until the top was removed, that was because they weren't there. The top sits back from the base so there is a 2 inch gap (where some of the scratches has been caused). Don't think that you are dealing with Anyvan, they have just made themselves a middle man! I even provided a duvet to protect my furniture whilst it was in transit. Avoid this shambles of a company like the plague if you value your property!

Do not use AnyVan
February 20, 2020

Bad - very bad. Do not use these guys. I ordered two guys to move a sofa one story up. Simple job. The movers bashed around the sofa against the walls so much that they caused extensive damage. They scratched and chipped the walls and door frames very badly. We have recently repainted all the walls along the staircase and doorframes when we did our attic conversion. We have the proof of the work. The company refused to even take a look at the proof of the recent work and take responsibility for what their workers did. It's not professional. Their staff are not trained properly. See photos of the extensive damage they have caused, which they refused to look into and rectify.

Disastro! Disaster!
February 2, 2020

My experience has been DISAPPOINTING!
I had a move from Italy to Germany. By a Lazio relocator
PAUL
"Paolo"
Saying that the packaging material was also included, when in fact I found myself having to buy scotch, last cartons!
But it was only that! Unprofessional staff who asked me for 300 more to bring more things. They ruined some chests of drawers, small doors and lost me a piece of the table where it could be extended and also they did not assemble the kitchen saying that they did not they managed to the last!
But the worst thing to have waited for them for almost 15 days without all my things, a great discomfort!
I had nothing at home, nothing at all! Without warning!
I had to call the relocator, losing my day of vacation that I had now established! I also complained to Anyan and their response was that after the contractual part they no longer have anything to do with it! And the absolute shame is that the carrier has never sent me the receipt EVER! Therefore keeping also the part of VAT and there is no mention of peanuts! A real disaster!

If I could I would give them 0 stars. The worst experience ever. Please don't book with them - extremely bad business and customer service. I have booked their van to pick up my stuff. The van arrived on time - although huge for just a flatshare. When they arrived at my new place, they just told me that they cannot bring my boxes to my new flat because there is no parking on the same side of the street?! This is London, such things are rare. Furthermore, in the era of the internet, google maps and GPS they did not check if and where is parking available. The driver got fined (£110) and it took him more than 30 min to get in touch with the Anyvan. Then they finally called me to tell me that they cannot deliver my stuff because there is no parking on the same side of the street and that the drivers will just bring my things into some storage place for which I will need to pay - and when they notify me where it is and when I pay for the storage, then I can take my stuff. WHAAAAT? Simply unbelievable. They even told me that a customer needs to arrange parking (and btw my building is a newly built and many people got their stuff delivered without any problems) - which is not true because when I called them to ask for that they told me that all is OK and I should not worry (that conversation with the Anyvan agent was taped). So basically, they took my money and they wanted to drop my stuff into some bad storage who knows where and at which price and leave me to deal with that. Luckily a man living in my building arrived and told the drivers that they can park in front of our garage to unload my things and that he will help them (so, the drivers had parked at the wrong place). The drivers did not want to do that until I paid £110 for their parking ticket and then just unloaded my stuff on the ground floor and did not bring them to my flat. They even told me that I should have mentioned that the garage doors are not tall enough for such a van. Again WHAT - nobody even asked me anything about that when they were taking my money. Terrible. Awful company. If you want to waste your money, lose your stuff and then carry it by yourself - only then booked Anyvan.

AVOID at all costs. I had the worst, longest, and most stressful removal day of my life. I cannot believe these positive reviews are even genuine. This company is an absolute con.

- I paid extra for a specific time slot 2-4pm. They arrived at 5pm. Nothing offered as an apology.
- They refused to take some extra plants I had, the website says you can load extra stuff on the day paying extra. I was ready to pay for this and my help to load my stuff. They made me pay one of their friends £40 for a 5 min extra job on a separate van... Ridiculous, there was plenty of room and time. We wasted time talking and walking around rather than getting my extra items. Absolute con.
- I had a massive parking space ready for them just opposite my flat. It wasn't big enough so they were sitting at the van smoking whilst I had to ask all my neighbours to move their cars just so that they could fit their gigantic van. All that space and I still wasn't able to use it. They claimed they didn't have time to load my extra plants... it took the other people literally 5 min to lead my tiny plants.
- They couldn't take me with them in the van. Never had this in my whole life and I have moved more than 10 times in the last 8 years.
- The driver told me next time I move out to call him directly...
- I could carry on...

I wouldn't be happy if any of my friends or family booked their services, and I would never ever use them again. This has been a con where I've spent £100 plus £40 in cash to their group of friends for a removal that shouldn't have cost me more than £100, no way. I am speechless.
