I tried to schedule a job in July. Angi canceled on me last minute and automatically rescheduled for a time that wouldn't work for me. Thankfully, they canceled that as well before I was able to figure out how to do so and said it was permanently canceled. All of this was sent to me via text and email. Today, Sept 23rd, someone showed up at my door at 8:30am as I was leaving for work saying I scheduled a job. This us two months later and I never received any texts or emails about a new booking and I definitely didn't schedule one myself. So I proceeded to spend 20 minutes on the phone arguing about not being charged for a job I did not schedule and had no knowledge of. At first they insisted that I would be charged since the professional already showed up but finally did agree to cancel everything and not charge me. Fingers crossed I actually don't get charged. And now I'm late for work. I highly recommend NOT using this site. I definitely won't be.

I preferred the former Angies List to this newer model. The reason is that it is difficult to access information about various contractors and tread the reviews to determine who to hire without having to being bombarded with requests for service. Sometimes I am only anticipating a service job and want to first find out what others are saying about various companies before I get involved. With the new way Angie's List and Home Advisor are doing business, you can not get off the site without first giving a great deal of information about what you are requesting and then getting names of contractors that they think would be suitable for you to contact. That might be all well and good thoughts but in every case the list of contractors calls me BEFORE I can even decide which ones to contact.

This company is fraudulent. Do not sign up with them. You'll get 4 to 5 lead bots everyday that are fake leads. The leads will all have the same general message. They'll charge you randomly for those leads although they are fake. This company will eventually get caught. The reviews showing for them are fake. You only get a couple of days to get a refund. They won't tell you this.

I have been an Angi's List GOLD member for many years. Since the merger w/ Home Advisor, ANGI has become a NIGHTMARE. I own several properties and used their PREPAY service for 3 jobs. One worker never showed up; a 2nd came and did a fine job. The 3rd was a simple plumbing job, but they sent someone w/ NO PLUMBING EXPERIENCE. He stuck some PVC pipes together, didn't prime or cement them, and they fell off the next day. He also broke an existing copper pipe in my basement. I texted him asking him to properly complete the job and repair the pipe he broke. He returned the next day and demanded I pay him CASH, even though I PREPAID through ANGI. That was FOUR DAYS AGO. I have called and emailed ANGI support every single day, only to be routed to INDIA where reps ask the same questions then hang up on you. I have a completely unusable sink with work done in violation of the city building code because the pipes were NOT PERMANENTLY PRIMED AND SEALED. As stated, I am a PAID GOLD MEMBER, which means absolutely nothing to ANGI. You can't get a human being in AMERICA to help solve your problem. PLEASE DONT USE ANGI AND PLEASE DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!. They are sending people out to do work without checking their credentials. If the work is done improperly, you will never see your money again and
Have to find a QUALIFIED worker on your own and pay AGAIN.

Outstanding service from initial scheduling of the appointment, updates when workman was arriving and timely arrival of pro. Michael was very polite and in well-marked truck with clean uniform and facemask in place. He removed his shoes without asking upon arrival. Able to diagnose the issue right away and explained the problem to me. He quickly made the trip to the store to get the part needed. He completed the repair promptly and effectively. Cleaned up after the job. Couldn't ask for more from a company providing a service to its customer! Highest endorsement to hire Huff Plumbing. Thank you for taking such great care of me! Will hire again if every need plumbing services.

Having to click the links from the professional's emails to provide a review just makes the whole process complicated. I don't mind giving reviews, but when the process is so complicated, it makes it not worth it. We'd get errors of using the wrong email address, password, and had to wait to get reviews approved. The review i thought would post after the 2nd time trying never posted. We had to do some kind of verification. Completely unnecessary! Also, I don't want to have to sign up for Angi just to leave a review, so I will be canceling that account now that I think the review posted. Since we kept going around in circles using links from the professional, I just went to Angi and signed up for an account separate from those emails to leave the review that way.

Angi Leads (formerly HomeAdvisor) is an unethical and dishonest company. I've been charged hundreds of dollars for leads I did not accept5 (some were in completely different areas of expertise). They will say you have the option to accept or reject leads but your don't. Once you receive a lead you will be charged immediately (usually more than you were quoted) even if you're not interested, or it's not your line of work. When we signed up we were told we would only be charged for leads we accepted. Not so. The rep I spoke with said you don't have the ability to reject a lead, even if you're too busy. This is a terrible company and if you're thinking of signing up with them, don't.

I have used Angi (and Angie's List before it became Angi, as a member) for many years, and have found exceptional help for the various house projects and services I've needed by using this simple process. I search under the specific service category I need assistance with, and I look for those providers with Super Service awards. I have never been disappointed with the results, and I'm guessing I've hired at least 20 companies using this process, both for my elderly parents who live across the continent from me, and for myself.

I am an architect, and know the importance of finding the right people to provide quality help. Super Service Award winners tend to be companies (often small or family owned) who put the customer first, and who know what they're doing. It's hard to find this kind of sure bet these days, but so far I have been nothing but delighted with the results. Thank you Angi.
