Bought a snow blower and then realized it had to be assembled... That is out of my brain power these days... So, after hunting around, we found the best possible person for the job. Matt at Priceless Renovation.
I was highly satisfied with my new carpet, beautiful job done by the installation team. We are repeat customers for a reason, I was able to pick out a beautiful new carpet in a reasonable price as well as they came to install in less then 2 days which I really appreciated because even in snow storm the team showed up and installed our new carpet. Thank you so much we will definitely be using National Floors Direct when we need to remodel the rest of our house.
Been with this company for 4 years and it is not going great. Angie charged me $28 for a lead where the customer does not own the home and has it up for closing mid-march two and a half months away and yet they still charge for the lead. I can't get into the house to do measurements to provide a quote but Angie can sell the lead to five contractors and make $140 for an unattended computer program that let's anyone generate leads without qualifying them.
I started with Angie's list when they first began, it was good. Then Angie hired that marketing VP that turned everything in to Dollars. I an surprised Angie doesn't charge me per phone call for all the leads that I have to try and get credit for. I want the old Angie back. Budget set for Angie's leads is $300 per month and we average 5 leads that actually can be quoted. That's $60 per lead. Just a bit too much.
The way Angie leads makes money is by charging contractors (per customer) just to list their name in a list of other contractors in a customers area. All the contractors on that list get charged regardless of whether or not they are chosen for the job. Their minimum lead fee is something like $25 so if there are 10 contractors on a list each of them are charged $25 totaling $250 and if a lead fee is only $25 chances are the job cost is under $100. So even if a customer is paying a contractor $100 for a job Angie leads makes $250 off the contractors.

We have been a long time advertiser with Angie's List( now Angi). It has taken a turn for the worst this last year and we decided it would make more financial sense to cancel early and pay the cancellation fee then continue to pay our advertising since we were getting only 1-2 a month and losing money.
I have verbally and in email form been told that the cancellation fee for ending our contract early is 35% of our remaining balance left in our contract. We have two more months left in our contract with them and our leads have dried up and it makes more sense to pay and get out at this point, so I have been pursuing canceling early(our year long contract ends in March and we will not renew).
Here is what I was quoted:
Current remaining balance:$567.06
Cancellation fee: $369.00
As you can see this is clearly not 35% of our remaining balance. After a long conversation with our client manager I got her to say its confusing and she described it to me- She said they take the remaining balance and times it by 35%( so $567.06*. 35= $198.47) and then instead of that being the cancellation fee, they subtract that number from the total amount left(567.06-198.47=$369). I am not seeing how they can do that with the language they have in the contract(attached). If it is legal, it is deceptive to their clients. A cancellation fee is fine and to be understood, however its the misleading language about it that we did not appreciate as a company.
We have used Angi for many years. How else do you find the right professional or craftsperson for the project? The convenience of having the business's description, reviews and more recently the approximate estimated cost for the service is invaluable for home owners.
I was nervous and reluctant at first but fortunately, Donald listened and easied my fear with a calm response and instructions to resolve the problem. Excellent, excellent, excellent.
It was a good and easy experience. I strongly recommend and you will not be disappointed. Very easy use
I paid 1100 dollrs for a balance that was not mine they toldme i would get 80 calls a month i got 6 ten they charged another 600 on someone's else credit card after they sent a letter say it was removed
And then sent a balance of alot to collectione aftewr all this ruined my company the worst liers i evewr met
Seamless and easy to navigate. I look forward to leaving more reviews for businesses I use in my community
Great work, friendly professional company. Will definitely hire again. Price was very reasonable
I am leaving Angie Leads Today. They are great on the front end promising leads to grow your business.
After 4 Months & 4800. 00, I have to say they Ripped Me Off! 50% of the leads were "Wrong Task". You have to fight with them tooth and nail to get a credit on wrong tasks leads. When they issue a credit, you'll be lucky if you get 1/2 of what they owe you.
I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy.
Robert was great. He stayed late, cleaned up while maintaining a friendly attitude.
I had an appointment scheduled for electrical work yesterday, and the contractor never showed up. I called the Angi customer service line, and they apologized and worked with me to reschedule, offering a $10 discount for my inconvenience. While that hardly covered my time of taking off of work for the scheduled appointment at 1pm that day. The work was scheduled with a different contractor for tomorrow; however, today I was charged for the service. I called customer service once again, and she informed me that 30 minutes after the initially scheduled service time ended, it auto charges my account. This happened even though they knew the service hadn't been completed! Now I will be refunded, but it will take 3-5 days. Needless to say, I canceled the service request for tomorrow. I have no desire to get billed a second time and have no faith in this service.
I was Misled into paying for this service believing that Angi would be responsible for the people they certified.
In reality, Angi's services amounted to the same as taking my chances with a phonebook.
I signed up for their services because they claimed that my project would be completed by their Certified Professionals.
This did not happen. The Angi Pro took my Deposit and disappeared!
Angi claims they will help you negotiate with Contractors, but what they don't say is that the Contractor/Pros have to agree to negotiate.
If the Contractors says "no" or as in my case just disappears
Angi and Home Advisor stops right there. They say there's nothing they can do.
Please don't waste time and money on Angi or Home Advisor
You're not getting what you think you're paying for.
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
