I am a huge fan of the service that Angi provides, being able to find contractors this way does help out a lot. However, on more than one occasion, we have had contractors show up at our house, unannounced, and without even contacting us by phone prior to them showing up. I'm sure I breezed through something in the terms and conditions that allows this, but that's still a pretty bad business practice, along with being very creepy (showing up at my house after 9pm unannounced? NO THANKS!). All in all, I will use Angi when I'm having a tough time finding a contractor, but with a lot more scrutiny and caution.
I would recommend this service to anyone who asked. They also have a great pricing range, it is affordable and all around great service. They were very prompt with their service. It took less than 48 hours to complete. It was really enjoyable using them and they are true to their word. They are really reliable, and if there is any problems customer support is basically 24/7. I have nothing bad to say about the company. They have a great pricing range as well as the fact depending on the circumstance they can be flexible.
Young couple came and did a remarkable job with exceptional equipment. Went above and beyond to meet my needs!
1. I requested quotes from 4 of the local painters listed when I queried Angi's for a painting job. Not one got back to me.
2. Angi's then called and asked me a few questions about the job and quoted me a price with a discount. We took the deal. They never asked me the square footage of the work, btw, nor did anyone come out to check the work that needed to be done.
3. Painter shows up and is doing fantastic work but says he was only contracted for 3 hours. Also tells me what he's getting paid vs what I paid Angi's (less than half of what I paid), but after 3 hours, he's not finished yet. We now have three options - pay double the painters salary thru Angi for him to finish, pay him directly for him to finish, or finish it ourselves.
I have no idea how much time a painting job will take, so when Angi's sets it up for 3 hours sight unseen, how am I supposed to know that won't even cover half the job? (We had to supply the paint, btw, which is fine, but it means we're paying only for labor, no 'parts'). I had no idea how many people they were sending, either, so 3 hours for 2 or 3 painters might have been great for this job, but a single guy just doesn't have the time to finish it.
What a ripoff with the poor painter caught in the middle - he thought he was showing up for a three hour job and nobody knew the extent of the work before the quote was given.
Fast, easy. Obtained a great electrician whose service was reasonable and professional.
The whole experience is terrible - I will never use them again!
From the guy on the phone quoting the work telling me my card would not be charged until work done - not true! The charge went through the same day of the call with him.
The pro rescheduled via text and then I contacted him to confirm and he asked me to send him my address?
Look at this hack job … he installed a bathroom ceiling exhaust fan into an empty space where an identical fan had been. The surrounding area was damaged as a result of his work … just hideous and terrible craftsmanship and pride in work see pictures
I had written an earlier review of damage done by an Angie's contractor. I was willing to take it down if this was resolved. Getting this resolved has been a nightmare. It is impossible to have a conversation with anyone unless you are just trying to schedule a job. I submitted all the paperwork to get reimbursed for all the work that had to be done to correct the damage. The total came to a little over $1000. They now told me that I need to go through my own insurance agency first. They want me to use MY homeowners insurance to correct damage caused by their incompetent worker! This would make my insurance deductible go up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
We recently had Jordan Roofing come out to assess our roof for replacement. Jason Trevathan & Christine Cook came out and checked our roof thoroughly and gave us our options. We decided to check with our insurance company and Jason & Christine came when the insurance adjuster was there and spent a very long time with him going over damage. We ended up getting the roof covered by our insurance. Jason and Christine were extremely knowledgeable about the many options available and the advantages of each option. They were friendly, easy to talk to, and easy to understand. They are like having a friend in the roofing industry. The quality that Jordan Roofing puts in their jobs is impressive. If you have roofing needs take the time to call Jordan Roofing and ask for Jason & Christine. They service the DFW metro as well as Cedar Creek Lake area as well as many surrounding areas. If you want quality workmanship, you will be glad you called them.
I have scheduled a service appointment two weeks ago with Angi. Two days later, they found a contractor. One day before the scheduled appointment date the contractor simply dissapeared from the web site. I called Angi, they said they have to do another check regarding the contractor and they will find another one so my appointment is going to be fine. In the evening they did let me know that the appointment is postponed for 2 days so it's going to be on Sunday at 10 am. Of course, nobody did show up on Sunday morning. Instead I got email that the appointment is postponed for Tuesday at 10 am. After this email, I canceled the appointment and the membership. I will never consider Angi for any kind of service. Angi is just a scam and if possible I would give them negative grading.
5 stars all around, does a great job, floors, blinds, kitchen, bathrooms, stairs, cheerful
This great team of hard workers finally figured out how to help us after being let down and the cost out of our reach. The cost was also reasonable. We finally have a beautiful backyard to enjoy.
Great guys on time work hard was very nice and quick
We will never use Angi's "Book Now" service again. We booked a ceiling drywall repair and texturing. In this program you do not vet or choose the service provider. You provide and pay for all the materials. The first worker Angi sent came with virtually no tools, did not tape and feather the repair, and left multiple blotches of canned texturing on the walls. After sharing our dissatisfaction with Angi, a second repairman was sent who could not or would not do the texturing properly, and brought his girlfriend when he returned to finish the job. Both were handymen, not drywall professionals. We are hiring our own workman outside of Angi to finish this project.
Payton came out and gave me a great price to paint my entire house and it only took 3 days
This company really knows what's going on when it comes to getting work done. They're always on time and they go above and beyond and very knowledgeable. Thanks Mike
I've been an Angi's customer since the old days when access cost $60 a year. Then, I could easily read about any vendor you had on file and then phone those that seemed the best fit. Sadly, that chanced a few years ago. Now, I'm forced to endure you making the selection. The only way I can read about a vendor is if I already know the name. To me, this is poor customer service. I've been told that those you recommend have paid you for that recommendation. What happened to the company that put the public 1st? I've given you 4 stars for successful past support (when I could be more independent). Today, my experience is merely entering reviews for those I've identified outside of Angi's.
Now, I google a vendor and hope for the best as I can no longer easily get this information from you. I often feel this loss.
Totally unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful. We were Initially told by David that he and his helper were doing the job and would take about 3 days and a half to complete. It was only his helper who was doing the work as David supervised. They worked only 2 days from 9:00 to 2:00. On the 2nd day after they left, we discovered that his helper used our bathroom, which of course was totally fine with us, only to see after they left, that his helper got sick and defecated all over our floor and toilet and never cleaned up the disgusting mess he made. I wish I can share the photos we took but it will not load for some reason on this platform. Just as well because it was really disgusting to say the least. We immediately contacted David and he said he would clean up first thing the next morning. Can you imagine that? It should have been done before they left our home. He came back the next day and did a terrible job cleaning, which we ended up having to clean it ourselves. We obviously let him go. Can you believe such outrageous unprofessionalism from these people. They both disrespected our new home that we recently bought in New Jersey. We drove to New Jersey from New York the next morning to confront him and he became belligerent with us because we were very upset, and his helper had the audacity to laugh after what he did. We are totally appalled by their behavior. I hardly ever post online, but I could not let this one pass. Aren't they aware that there something called SOCIAL MEDIA out there? This man obviously does not care or take pride in his work, and WORST - disrespects his customers.
We never thought we would experience such outrageous conduct by so-called professionals.
Do not fall into the gimmick of "we provide you leads"... This is a horrible platform that if you click on a lead it will automatically charge you. Does not matter if you ever speak to a client, text a client, or reach out in any way... Furthermore it is nearly impossible to communicate with the client as this app sends you in a circle.
Don't do it... In the course of 4 months I spoke one time to one guy for 3 minutes, only had a $1000 dollar budget so I gave him free advice on the phone, I have been charged over $1000 in four months, and even after canceling twice I contimued to be charged... Don't do it!
I booked a sprinkler repair job 6 days ago and the day of, I get a text from a number I dont know that says "Im in texas and car broke down" can we reschedule for next week?
We'll this is my 1st attempt at booking through Angi.com directly to avoid exactly this type of (common) scenario. I called Angi.com and they called me back after 20 minutes and then transferred me to the "Booking" department where they proceeded to ask for all my information again (pet peeve, when you transfer someone internally dont make them go through the whole identification process again)
Long story short, the contractor should have reached out to Angi.com and they should have arranged a replacement, that, in my opinion is what Im paying premium prices for ($382 for 3 hours)
When I alerted Angi.com to the cancellation they should have gotten someone else for that appointment, as I requested. Not being able to do that I took my refund (project and membership) and will head over to Homeadvisor and contract directly with someone myself.
Bummer experience Angi
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
