Two completely different projects I attempted to use this site and gotten zero or absolutely bogus results,, sad deceptive operation --

This company is completely ridiculous! They say they can provide you with the best service, but yet I have had two booking appointments for my condo to be cleaned and both times no one showed up! They said they will not charge you until services are completed. We'll that was a lie! They took my money and no one showed up to clean my condo two times in one week! I reached out to customer service department and they advised me that they will send someone back out the following week. Well I rent out my condo and it was not cleaned before my guests arrived! I was completely embarrassed that my renters did not have a professional cleaning done as promised. Customer service kept telling me they would come the following week free of charge. Well how is it free if you already charged me 185 dollars? No one could explain and they kept sending me the same message. All I ever got was a very poor apology and a 20 dollar credit for this mess. After my condo gets cleaned I will never use this fly by night company ever again! Very bad business.

I had agent call me every other week to ask me if I wanted to activate my account I told him I'm not ready to do any work yet he said that fine put your account on hold for a month and call you back one morning I check my bank account 616.84 is taken out of my account they said they have been sending me leads I've never clicked on any leads never responded or reached out to any leads didn't do any work through those leads they a rip off company I'll never do business with them they refuse to refund my money scumbags

I would rate this service a zero, but that is not on the scale.
On Thursday (6/9) I called to schedule an HVAC repair. The first available was on a Sunday.
When the assigned technician did not show on Sunday, I called the customer service number. They were unable to contact the technician they had scheduled,
I then cancelled the service. They told me that my credit card might still be charged, even though their job confirmation explicitly states that no charges will be assessed until completion of the job.
This episode makes me wonder about their quality control of providers and processes.
I was less than impressed.

I have used this service for the first time in May 2022. I needed to have handrails for both the entrances from the garage to the living room and hot tub room. In addition I needed a second handrail added to the stairs going to the master bedroom and 3 locks installed. The contractor did not come on time or with the necessary tools. The work was substandard and incomplete. I was waiting for the contractor to come back to finish since he left the work areas with sawdust and Tools spread around. He never came back. I filed a complaint with Angi and the response was that because I didn't file within 30 days under their policy they would do nothing about it! How can this policy be a in effect since the job was never completed? I recommend highly not to use this service.

John is the owner of Don Greens Dirt Service Inc here in St Cloud. He runs an honest and experienced crew of professional landscapers. John runs the company with the highest integrity. He loves what he does and it shows. He has good communication, he answers the phone and emails quickly, shows up for appointments on time, and he really cares about his customers. We had John and his crew here for a few jobs last year after we moved in and we were extremely satisfied with the work they completed. The crew were hard working and respectful of us and the property. They did very good work and fixed water run off problems and landscaping to the highest standards, we made it through torrential rainstorm this spring with no problems! We like John as a person, small business owner, and for the quality of his work. We highly recommend him and his firm Don Greens Dirt Service Inc.

Today I had my home power washed by RENEW Exterior Cleaning Service. I cannot say enough good things about them. It had been3 years since I was able to get this done and it was desperately needed. Mr Larry Brunson and his Son cleaned my home back to "like new". The price was fantastic. The attention to detail impeccable. Communication with myself was great prior/ during and at completion. Arrived at time promised and even cleaned my patio. I am SO HAPPY! Give them a try.

I used Angi in the past under its former name, and I was happy with it, but currently you and your partners have really gone downhill. I had a simple plumbing request, and I called the recommendations you sent me. Nobody would give me an estimate over the phone (which I guess I can understand), but to send somebody out most of them wanted $65 just for an estimate. I tried to call your company directly to discuss this (rather than posting this negative review), but all you have is a phone tree--no way to talk to a person. You guys were great in the past, but no longer today. Back to Craigslist.

I had a job scheduled with Angi that got rescheduled 6 different times because they could not find someone to do the work. They finally ended up cancelling the job. It was very frustrating, they cancelled some of the jobs on the same day it was scheduled to be done. I believe they have not been ready to do business since they merged with Home Advisor which was much better.

I hired Shoreline Home Services to repair a significant number of rotted wood sections on the exterior of my house (including window trim, the base around my front door and on my back deck). Dan Swanson did a tremendous job of replacing the areas that had been damaged, mostly due to carpenter ants. He also applied pesticide without being asked in an area where he found ants in place.

He suggested that he would paint the wood prior to installing it, which saved me from having to paint it myself or hire a painter to do it.

Dan was a pleasure to work with and followed through on everything he said he would do. His attention to detail is great and the final product looks terrific. I would recommend using Dan for any carpentry or other exterior repair jobs you might have at your home. He is a good man.

Contractors on Angi don't show up even when "booked" and providing your information for services needed results in 100s of calls from corporate contractors (call centers) for projects you don't even need.

I signed up, hoping for help with a small bathroom remodel, only to find out that the app and website only worked with a password provided by them. What? That seemed shady considering they also want you to store your payment information with them, so I requested a refund of my fee less than an hour after signing up and they refused. Strike 1.

Later I scheduled with what I believed to be a local contractor who never showed up and that's when the spam calls started. Calls to do windows, solar, yard work, roofing, kitchens; none of which i even remotely requested.

Reading reviews here tells me that Angi is nothing but a lead generating game to get information so that it can be sold, in mass, to companies that then spam you about every home improvement project and potential sale of you home on the planet. Of course this site may add to my spam mess, who knows.

Save yourself the headache and just find a company on Google or something. Angi is a complete waste of time.
