We scheduled a cleaning of our house, by Angi, for 6/24/22 at 12pm. I get an automated text message telling me that they had to cancel the cleaning for that day, literally AN HOUR before they were supposed to come and clean. I was depending on them, because I physically can't clean my house AND we are having family and friends over the next day to celebrate my son's graduation. I was literally left high and dry, last minute. To make matters worse, when I called customer service they HUNG up on me while I was trying to talk and explain why I needed the job done that day. They are one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

I would not recommend this site to absolutely anyone. I've had leads sent to me that I haven't even taken and they are 50-75 dollars. I look in my bank account and $636.42 are out of my account. And I've got a 2 month old, and my wife on maternity leave. So if anyone is ever looking. Don't do this site ever. It's a scam and a bunch of $#*!. I wouldn't even give this a star but I need it for my rating.

We needed a landscaper and we found a good one using this platform. Platinum Landscaping did an excellent job!

I signed up with Angi Leads because they told me they had 44 unresponded to leads at that moment in my business category. I made a lead deposit with them of $300.
The leads i received were all worthless. Either the customer no longer needed the service or they would not respond to my calls, etc. Bottom line; i never received one job in the first week. Angi Leads did credit back two of the lead fees, but that was all. I called me Service Rep three times and left messages to call me, but never received a single call back. Finally, i called to cancel the service. Of course they tried to pressure me not to cancel. When they finally did cancel it, they would not refund my $300 deposit or any portion of it.
If i had done more research, i would have found that Angi Leads has had its BBB Accreditation revoked for unethical practices. Not much more needs to be said than that!

2nd time I've used your service and the last, it's like I'm playing a con game to get good service and don't let me start about canceling and trying to get my money back! No thank you never again! And please don't call me. Ty

Once I listed the services I needed, I appreciated when the contractors called within a reasonable time and were responsible to my needs and did not try to oversell unneeded services. Herr Plumbing coordinated the New Shower and it was not slapping the new over old for an unreasonable price. Their service, quality and installation, in my opinion, was not over rated and for a small local company and they stood out over the Big Box, as advertised on TV, specialty stores. Service was beyond compare excellent!

I had a paint job with Angi,

While booking time they assured me 100 percent customer satisfaction. They assured Else job will be repeated. Also said it's a fixed prize job regardless of number of hours.
Also the booking agent patiently clarified all my questions even i uploaded pictures of the house.
They even call back multiple times assure my doubts are cleared.
I was totally satisfied and booked.
Then! When the actual work day the contractor did not turned up. Never even answer my calls or text.
I called Angi and the call redirected to a customer center in philipines. Only sentence they trained to repeat is. Apology for the inconvenience, we are only a provider we are not responsible for the contractor not turning up.
I have taken leave for 2 days put all my plans aside and wait. They don't care if i explain.
They say, we can just cancel it or postpone to another day.
No other option we postponed.
We also asked to talk to a senior person a manager someone can understand the issue.
They say they will call back in 72 hrs and nobody ever called ( then booking r me they called almost everyday)
Next week a new contractor turned up.
Started painting. And he leaves windows, doors unpainted. Contractor says he has no instruction. All this paint is agreed in the initial contract. Even i upload pictures for clarity.
When i call Angi again the call goes to only philipines customer care centre and the lady repeats.
Now i am stuck with an unfinished job and nobody at Angi take any responsibility or bother to even answer to me. The only phone people they have is to book new ordrers.
They actually doubt have anyone resolve aby issues or they don't care about it.
If it is not true, can somebody from Angi org addres.my complaint here?

Angi is walled garden for their long-term customers and, unfortunately, an information farm for any prospective customers. They've changed their business model from a "curated" list (probably why they did their big rebrand and dropped list from their name) to a funnel that leads homeowners into a harassment campaign from hungry contractors. There are no winners with Angi except Angi corporate. Homeowners don't get quality: any licensed contractor can pay to be a part of their service. Contractors don't get quality: most homeowners don't realize they are signing up to immediately receive calls, texts, and emails about a project they haven't even thought through yet. Angi takes the homeowners that are just looking for a LIST of plumbers, electricians, or roofers and charges contractors hundred of dollars for "leads." The actual list of the formerly Angie's List is much harder to find and the average consumer is not going to get there and Angi doesn't want them to interact that way. If they did want the list to be the focal point, a search on their website would take you to the list and not the previously mentioned funnel.
Stay away from Angi unless the though of getting 20 calls in one day about installing your fence is your desired experience. Use Yelp, Google, even the Yellow Pages would be a better idea at this point; really anything is better that what Angi is offering.
