I had a horrible experience as the contacter did not show even after I spoke with him on the phone and shared text messages with him twice! To top that off, our credit card got charged for the no show appointment and we had to wait several days to see the credit reimbursement! I do not recommend this service at all!
The owner, Steve McGuire, will bid the job, take your money and never get back to you. I gave him $1,000 to do a job then he never answered any of my texts, emails or phone calls. When I asked for my money back he sent it back after I had asked for 3 weeks. The check bounced. I guess I'm going to have to sue him.
Easy to submit information. Easy to look up a specific business to research their reviews.
Angie's list promised to provide job leads for a flat yearly fee. However it ended up charging hundreds of dollars just for clicking on each job lead! When we called the job leads either nobody answered, we got a voicemail, or the person who answered said they didn't need anybody anymore. Angie's automatically withdrew the fees. No contract, no disclosures, it is a complete scam. When we reported their scam to the bank and got the undisclosed fees returned by the bank, we ended up getting a collection's letter with threats of additional interest and fees. Now we don't know how to dispute the collection letter because their services of job leads is a complete scam. There are several reviews of their scam and how they've been taken to court. Completely dishonest.

I searched local experts, to avoid the top internet search engines for services. It didn't matter, I was funneled and fooled into "Angi". Smh... I went through with it. I immediately changed my mind when I thought back to a previous circumstance, where I contined to receive calls for months to ask how the service was, if I had any more projects, would I recommend their service, and to rate the service. Thinking... how many times do I need to rate the services? So, I immediatley called the number in the confirmation email, to cancel my request. It's 3 weeks later and I get no less than 12 calls per day. I have blocked each incoming number but the service just rolls to the next number. I can't get it to stop.
I scheduled a lawn service and the first person never showed up but I was still charged and never refunded! Then I canceled there service but was changed again two months later. Still mo refund. Horrible company.
Old liner removed with new liner replacement. Josh was excellent, showed up early, moved quickly doing the job.
Booked with Angi, but the contractor did not show. Asked for refund of $271, has been over 2 months and nothing. Was hung up on the first time I called about it. 2nd job booked, another no show. I also found the I was booked for recurring services when I specifically selected a one time option. I was told I would have to pay extra for services I already chose and indicated I wanted done in my quote after already paying. This is not the way to do business, and I will not use this service again. Use at your own risk.
SIBER Contracting did a Great job remodeling my kitchen. It looks amazing, everything works as it should, and they finished when they said they would.
I couldn't be happier with my choice for a contractor.
I just wanted to let you know that I am extremely happy with my lawn service company- especially owner and co-owners Jim and Jimmy Cosgrove. Not only did they go above and beyond what I asked for- they are always polite and understanding!
A-Team Window Cleaning is the absolute best! I've been using their services for several years now and I am never disappointed. I recently had my windows cleaned, gutters cleans, light bulbs changed on my outdoor spotlights, and my gutter fixed all in one day and at an amazing price. A-Team Window Cleaning 's team is fast, friendly, reliable, professional and all for a great price!
Julio, and his crew did a fantastic job. I would rehired him in a New York minute.
Aaron did a fantastic job detailing my car inside and out. I needed it to look as spiffy as possible because I was selling it. He did the most thorough detailing job I have ever had seen. Knowing I was selling the car, he cleaned in nooks and crannies that nobody ever cleans, like the engine, door jambs, gas cap, inside the headlights, etc. He even adhered a piece of leather upholstery that had come loose on the passenger front door. I love that he's proud and passionate about the quality of his work, and it shows. My car looks great and I believe I got a better offer because of it. I'm definitely using Aaron again. I've seen other detailing services in this area charge the same as Aaron does that don't come anywhere close to the quality of his work.
We're a family-owned home remodeling business. We initially tried to sign up for advertising on this site, but we didn't know that they require businesses to sign 1 year advertising contracts with an early termination penalty of 30% of your remaining balance. We thought it was month-to-month like Facebook ads or Google ads. It's not. We were contacted by two different sales people, Chris and Eric, and both of their sales tactics involved belittling us in order to pressure us into signing a contract. Eric especially asked invasive questions like "How long have you two been married?" When I asked why he needed to know that, he told me about how his wife Nicole is able to make decisions and purchases without his prior knowledge because he trusts her judgment. I tried not to be insulted because maybe he didn't mean to insinuate that my husband doesn't trust me with making business decisions so I kept silent, but when he spoke to my husband he continued with this kind of talk. Insulting people and belittling them into paying for your services isn't the way to make sales. We're not interested in advertising on Angi because we're reluctant to sign up for a 1 year contract that we have to pay a lot of money to get out of if we don't see the results we want, and their sales techniques didn't make us change our minds.
DO NOT USE ANGI! Their Happiness Guarantee means nothing. I hired Angi to have a handyman sent out to repair my closet shelf/rack that was coming off the wall. The person they sent out the next day came in, looked at the job and asked for wood screws. The handyman that came out did not have supplies (basic wood screws) with him. When I explained I did not have any he left for Home Depot and returned with two packages of woodscrews. He then proceeded to work on the closet. About a half-hour later he told me he used the screws to support the shelf/rack but that it was not secure enough for use and that the whole system would need to be removed and replaced. JOB NOT COMPLETE. When I called Angi to let them know I was not happy with the service I am requesting my money back through the Happiness Guarantee I was told I would be refunded. Two days later I notice charges on my card for the work and they were $30 more than agreed. After 7 phone calls, I still do not have a resolution to the charges.
I would recommend this company as they seen to all my needs with replacing my air conditioner. They were prompt, professional, and. Very knowledgeable. The company's owner makes sure to follow up to make sure you are happy with their work. That is hard to come by these day's.
Just venting. I used Angi Home Services. To find a Painter they screwed up broke some stuff and ruined my carpet. They caused over 12,000 in damages. I tried to use the Angi Happiness Gaurentee. Well, I am so not happy. After 2 months of fighting with *******@angi.com and
*******@angi.com. They offered just over 8,000 and now want me to sign a non disclosure.
We've hired contractors for many projects using both Angies List and Angi. Over the years we've hired good contractors of different specialties. J
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
