My pier and beam house was built around the end of WW2 and the bathroom looked like it had been there.
I had foundation issues due to old water damage and the floor felt like it was on the verge of collapse.

The foundation was done relatively quick and raised the bathroom 1.5 inches. A few cracks but nothing a little putty and paint couldn't fix. They were in and out in about 3 days and you wouldn't even know they were there with the way they respectfully took care of everything.

Next was the bathroom remodel. The bathroom had to go down to the studs and the frame. All supports were reinforced and pipes replaced. To help assist with expediting this, have a list of everything you want ahead of time and start ordering asap. Supply lines are still not the best and was able to swap some materials out to comparable on the shelf replacements. Keep the concept in mind but be flexible with the details and you won't be disappointed. This stalled completion by a week but overall was completed in a little over 3 weeks.

The house does not shake the pictures when you walk thru it now and the bathroom sparkles and shines vs being a scary place to walk into. I highly recommend Hercules Foundation and Home Remodeling. Allen Alexander is a warm individual to work with and put me at ease to face the challenges ahead. The pricing was very fair for the amount of work that was done. Felix and Mike the storyteller made the foundation work feel like it was a walk in the park. Rodger the carpenter was with me every step of the way on the bathroom and wrangling the ordering and the trades teams like a boxing champion. Dave the tile master was cutting edge with his impromptu design. They were all very pleasant to work with, very professional and highly skilled at what they do and they do it well. Respectful of working in your home and kept it clean like if they were working in their own home.

If you are interested in having this type of work done, I would highly recommend talking with these folks as you are gathering your bids. Every time I walk by my new bathroom, I stop and smile.

I booked a housecleaning service appointment by phone with a booking agent at Angi, Inc. All of my contact information and credit card information in my Angi account were updated from my Angie's List account and confirmed. On the date and time of my appointment, no one showed up to my home to clean. After finally reaching a live Angi customer service representative after multiple attempts, I was informed that my appointment was cancelled because payment did not go through on my credit card. I read my credit card number to the CSR, and discovered the booking agent had entered an incorrect credit card number. NO ONE from Angi, Inc. or the vendor called, emailed, or texted me at any time to let me know that my appointment had been cancelled because the credit card they had on file could not be charged. If they had contacted me, the situation could have been easily remedied and my service would have been completed as scheduled. The only consolation the Angi CSR offered was to rebook the appointment. I declined.

Landen Mount Excavation & Landscaping did an outstanding job at completing a switchback on a hill with a 50-degree grade. Landen completed the project in a timely manner at budget. Whatever I requested Landen was up to the task and completed what needed to be done to make the trail functionable for a John Deere Gator to climb. This was not an easy task, many contractors elected not to bid on the project due to the difficulty. Landen kept to his word and meeting contract requirements and took on the project as a challenge.

A lot of these businesses pay for good ratings, which means they are fake and can be bought. I know this because they offered to up my rating on my small business for a price

The Initial setup was easy BUT the promises made during that setup was nothing BUT A LIE REALLY! They will let you setup your coverage area, BUT STILL SEND YOU LEADS NOT IN YOUR COVERAGE AREA! THEN WHEN YOU GET A "CREDIT" FOR THE OUT OF COVERAGE AREA THAT CREDIT IS GIVEN IN THE FORM OF ANOTHER OUT OF COVERAGE LEAD UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME. NOW ANGI 'CREDITED" YOU YOU CANT GET CREDIT FOR A CREDIT. SO YOU REALLY DONT GET YOUR MONEY BACK EVER. THEY JUST CRAP IN YOUR RIGHT HAND AFTER THEY ALREADY CRAPED IN LEFT AND CHARDGE YOU ALL WHILE WASTING YOUR DANG TIME!

I requested a quote for house cleaning. I have a modest home of 1861 Sqft so I was expecting a quote around $80-$120 assuming that it would take about 4 hours to clean the home that is a pretty good pay at between 20 -30 dollars an hour. To my surprise the quote that I got was 245 - 300 depending on a few items like me supplying products or not. That is like $60 - $75 dollars an hour. I was not asking them to design and build the house just simple cleaning. I work in the High tech industry and I can find engineers that will work for $75/hr. Let's just do the math real quick an dirty. That is $3000 a week. 12 grand a month and 144K a year to clean a house. What makes these folks believe that people will pay that much for simple house cleaning even if it is in CA.

Last December, I used Anji to hire ABDB home services to clean my gas log fireplace set and to to diagnose reason it was not working. Anji gave them a 5.0 rating. They scammed me. They told me the gas valve needed to be replaced and then ghosted me until I posted a negative review. They contacted me angrily. They claimed the part was difficult to find but they were expending great effort to do so. I agreed to delete review, if they stayed in touch. They did not. Six months later I find the phone number I had has been disconnected. I then hired another service (Anji 5.0), who found the thermocouple was missing. It was easily replaceable. The fireplace immediately worked, the gas valve was fine. I went a whole season without the fireplace when it simply lacked a common part. It now appears they have no recent reviews. I wonder whether they are still in business.

Painter quoted $650.00 for 2 small rooms and trim painting. I told him I wanted 2 coats on the walls--he did not follow instructions and was very rude to me. Did a terrible job and demanded cash would not take a check. He refused to give me a receipt. I was very intimidated by him when he showed up for the job (he was very nice when he gave the estimate). I provided everything including drop cloths which he did not cover the carpet with and got paint on my printer. He did not replace my bookcase. He left a mess for me to clean up.

I scheduled a pro through Angi to clean my rental property on a Thursday my renters were going to be there on Friday afternoon. 30 minutes before the pro was supposed to come, I got a text from Angi stating that the had to reschedule for Saturday. So I canceled that appointment and I tried to book for Friday morning and I was successful. My husband went to the property to meet them there and called me 30 minutes after they were supposed to be there and said they hadn't shown up. I called Angi and they said oh we're confirming that your pro started on your project this morning at 7:30. I told them no they hadn't shown up. They asked me if I wanted to call them I said I tried but they didn't answer. 45 minutes after they were supposed to show up I got a text saying they were unable to cancel on the app and then it was too far for them to get there and clean. So my husband had to clean a rental property on his own. I got on the phone with customer service and they said I was going to have to pay if I didn't cancel on the app. It was very upsetting to me. I was able to finally get the rep to cancel the service on her end. I canceled the app I have no faith that they can be dependent on to get a job done in your time frames or at all.

I used Angi to get a painter for a small job in my kitchen. The painter never finished the work, fraudulently charged me extra money, and even bought materials using another contractor's name. To make things worse, Angi's promised to reimburse me for the money I lost -- and never paid me. They lied about it. I plan to take them to Small Claims Court to get the money they promised me.

If you book or put your information, beware, I receive 2 calls per hour (not joking) at least 8 emails per day advertising or checking up. Still have not been unsubscribed, blocked my number and deleted the app. The service Is helpful but it is not worth it, book on your own, I am using another company if needed.

I requested to have someone come out and repair a scratch and dent refrigerator I purchased 3 small dents $200. The service guy was great! But I feel they over charged me and I'm willing to bet the service guy didn't get half of those fee's

This used to be a great way to find contractors to do work for you. Now they want you to pay for work and schedule in advance. This may be fine if you know exactly what you want and there aren't any possibilities of confusion that can result in extra charges.

When I need help, I want to talk to someone to explain the situation before we agree on a price and the work to be done. You can do this by bypassing the "pay in advance" option and requesting quotes. But then here come the emails and phone calls (by the way, I tried to answer the Angi calls and there's nobody there so I had to block the number).

The emails ask you to fill out more forms and request more information. Still never getting you to a quote.

I did have one guy come out on a request to set up a better home network. I said that my budget was $300 and the guy quoted me $1500-2500 for stuff I didn't need. I bought a different router mesh system for $200, installed it myself and solved my problem.

Another request was for blind repair. I eventually gave up as I was only getting people who sold or installed new blinds. I went to the next search result and was able to schedule an appointment.

The only reason I don't give this service a 1 Star rating is because I was able to find a contractor to do popcorn ceiling removal a few years ago and they worked out fine. This was before the "improvements" to the app that attempt to lock you into a fixed price that is way too high.

I got a good source to do my garage repair, so I guess they did the job, But my phone was blowing up with almost 2 dozen leads. A bit overwhelming. If It's true that they are paid by each company they send your info to, doesn't seem appropriate. All you need is 3 or 4. Sending to 20 just increases costs to everyone, including the consumer.
