I found a contractor (who wasnt really a contractor) on Angies list. He had an A rating and had pictures of his work etc. after he took 15,000.00 dollars and screwed up my kitchen which in turn corst another 3,000.00 just to get the plumbing fixed (put in granite counter tops and they cracked in 3 placed) told me i needed a new main breaker box outside which i came to find out i didint and he screwed this up becasue he wasnt an electrician and only had a handyman liscense which had expired but was on Angies list as a full contrsctor wih an active liscense. Had to get it permitted and redone for another 1,500. Dollars. I appealed to angies list who told me "you should have checked the validity of his liscense" so what good is Angies list. If i should have cjecked the guy out i found on her list. Isnt that what the list is for? They were horrible, rude and took no respinsibility. I was on my local news channel to appeal and the ROC told the guy to pay me back but of course he did not. He ended up going tpo prison for drugs. I chos Angies list to avoid the very thing that ended up happening to me. DO NOT USE ANGIES LIST!

I contact Angie list for Storm damage to my home, I needed roof and vinyl siding repair. With in two days I got a call from M S Construction Matthew called with in two days, we set up a time and he was here on time. He was very polite and considerate of my concerns. He and his wife did a wonderful job they worked as a team, I also had him do some landscaping and other minor repairs the cost was reasonable and I would recommend them to any one, I was very pleased with their work one happy customer

I was given an appointment for 2pm, to remove my items into storage. Anything moving + Storage, kept telling me that they are coming. I called them at 5pm, and he said they are running late. He will definitely arrive at 630pm. We called again at 7pm. He stated, he is almost there. At 8pm I decided to cancel my moving. This place is Horrible, there's no sense of responsibility. Run from this Company, Anything moving and Storage. The fact is they don't move anything!

My wife and I own a small farm in up state New York, our well pump stopped working and we had no water to our barn or to our house. We posted on Facebook and got an immediate response from Kelly of Safewell Technologies. Kelly lived up to everything that he quoted us before the job began and while the job took longer than expected Kelly stayed with it until the job was completed and done right and there were no hidden extras at the end of the job.

We hired DANNY ROMERO to paint kitchen cabinets and our office. He was here on time and ready to work. I was impressed with how well he protected floors. Counters and appliances. He did an excellent job on the cabinets, and when I decided I didnt like the color I picked with the counters, he offered to redo it all. He charged a very nominal fee, but the great part was, he did it all with a great attitude and I didnt see even a hint of frustration. I have already recommended him to my son in law for some drywall work. Danny will be coming back to do our back splash. I would definitely use him again. He does many things and very professionally. He even hauled off the old sink and cabinets from the office, and made sure everything was cleaned up. Good job. DANNY ROMERO!

As the property manager of a condominium complex that had serve hail damage to our roofs, I filed an insurance claim and hired XL Contractors to replace all of our roofs and to also be our advocate to deal with our insurance company. Because of XL Contractors we were able to settle our claim and get all of our roofs replace for just the cost of our insurance policy deductible. XL Contractors and their roofing crew did an absolutely great job. Their roofing crew was extremely polite and courteous, did an excellent job of installing the new roofs, and were very conscious of cleaning up behind themselves. I fully recommend XL Contractors for your roofing needs, as well as siding and gutter needs also. They kept me advised every step of the way as this worked it's way through the insurance claim process. Excellent company and contractor for all your needs. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Great company and great people for your needed project.

As a business, do not even think about joining Angie's List. You will be so sorry! You will either get charged for fake leads or, if you fall for their monthly subscription, they'll promise you a certain amount of leads per month in which they will not even get you 2% of what they promise to deliver. I promise you, you will spend at least 10 times whatever jobs they get you.

How much sense does it make to pay 10 times more money on leads than you will make off of these leads?!

Windows done right!
We had our original 1978 windows in our home. They were out dated & completely inefficient. We looked around for windows and were really impressed with what *Improve It* hadn't offer & the affordability. We went from 21 leaky, out dated inefficient, unreliable windows to 11 GORGEOUS big open, beautiful sun giving windows! No more plastic on our windows! Easy to open & close, safety locks, tempered because of the ginormous size, safe & easy to clean! Win, Win!
The crew was AMAZING! Not to mention how professional and courteous they were! All while working around and with 2 small children in the home. Fast, efficient, professional & gorgeous!
We loved our experience enough to share with our family who just had their old windows replaced!
Next project, BATHROOM! These guys go WELL above & beyond! Impressive!

Angies List is a complete scam that disguises themselves as a great company. I feel bad for the people that choose them for anything. They are a complete joke, and don't even get me started on their staff. Their management is absurdly undertrained to handle any type of situation that includes helping out the customer. If there was any way to give them negative stars I would, because that is what they deserve. I hope people who decide to do any type of service with them think about it twice and maybe a couple more times. To put it into perspective, doing business with Angies List is the equivalent of doing business with a monkey. Actually maybe the monkey is a step up, at least its nice. Anyway, save your money and time. Every other option is better than Angies List.

This is a review of work done by "All about trees tree service" recommended by Angie's list. I had a very large Oak tree that needed extensive trimming and pruning. It was a pleasure to deal with the Owner, "Pete", who listened carefully to my requirements and responded promptly by giving me quote within 48 hours. The quote which was very reasonable. Two days later he returned with his crew and two large vehicles. The first vehicle was a large crane used to position one of his crew in the air within arms length of the limb he wished to cut. The other vehicle was used to grind the branches and leaves that were cut. When the work was completed his crew cleaned up not only my yard but also the yards of my two neighbors. This company deserves my highest recommendation. It is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Got a recommendation from Angie's List; didn't hire the company and gave them the bad review they deserved. After being harassed by said business, I tried to contact Angie's, but couldn't speak to anyone, other than by email or chat, because I wasn't a "Gold" member? Really? I've been threatened, lied to and bullied, and Angie's is "looking into it." Thanks a heap. I wouldn't become a "Gold " member for anything, and would suggest anyone who reads this stay away, too.

Scott and his team did a highly skilled and thorough job on our recent ENTIRE home remodel. They started and completed the job in 4 weeks, as promised. Scott kept us informed/updated on the progress via phone calls, texts and emails during the entire process... and photos. He offered great suggestions and improvements on our vision. At completion of the job it was move in ready. We would differently use Scott again... and plan to do so when remodeling the downstairs.
