Charged my card then my "pro" texted me at 11:50pm the night before to cancel on me. They have a 24 hour cancellation period for customers but the pros can just cancel on you with no problem at midnight the night before? What kind of company does that? This is a large company they need to find a replacement people scheduled certain dates/times for a reason!

Needed to hire Lawn Care Service to take care of my mother's yard. By the fourth time mowed I'd already hired 3 different Lawn Care Services from Angi.
All 3 were apparently Certified by Angi. Now have 4th guy, not hired from Angi app. He was miles ahead of Angi's recommendations when he just showed up 2 and then 3 times. WOW! He comes every 2 weeks! I never even have to call him. He's actually, like a real business!

Angie's List is a complete SCAM! They lock you into a subscription that is practically impossible to decline. I haven't used any service cancel everything before even started and they giving me the running around to refund my membership subscription.

In early May, I searched online for a contractor / handyman to install a 12ft vinyl fence and gate because I am a disabled individual and could not do this job myself. The day after my online search, I was contacted by a "pro" named Louis Chavez (calling himself 'Chavez Enterprises') that was referred to me by Angie's list. This "pro" visited my home a week later, gave me an estimate of $853 and asked for half of the total in order to "guarantee" the job. So, I paid half the total in cash (mistake!). Several weeks passed until he finally showed up on June 1st with one Vinyl panel and two small fence posts. The "pro" showed up with no tools of his own and asked to borrow my drill and some screws. I allowed him to work. By this time, I was just glad that he showed up after waiting for weeks, so I paid him another $200 cash! I reviewed his work after he left and noticed he installed the panel upside down, dug the post holes 3 inches deep max, and screwed the vinyl panel directly onto the posts! (see pictures). Needless to say, this guy made excuse after excuse until he stopped communicating with me and never completed the job. I later did research and discovered this "pro" had a criminal record. Angie's list claims to find "prescreened" professionals to do your job. I think not! The "Customer Solutions" contact number for Angie's List did not return my call and when I tried calling them back, I was on hold for over 2 hours until the call was finally cut off.

Angi is awful, rude and worthless. What a horrible service and staffed by rude people. I submitted my name, phone, email and address. Then I recieved a rude phone call demanding my phone, name, email and address. When I said I already submitted all that, I was TOLD to be patient. They told me they didn't get the infomation from the website... BUT THE RUDE JERK WAS VERIFYING MY INFOMATION BY READING IT TO ME...

I tried to enter a job as 1 hour and it couldn't be done. The guy that I hired, not from Angi, did it in 1/2 hour. Wasted my time as I could not use Angi to find a contractor for a one hour job.

I use the service of IBA builders here for roof and fence repairing and the service was very good. I think I never need to repair these again thanks IBA builder

I checked my account to find that angi took the amount quoted to me and the job hasn't even started. Im so confused and so upset. $514 doesn't fall off the tree and u can't send emails as stated in email. This is very unprofessional and I would never use them again. I want my money back now and im not waiting 3 to 4 days for refund. I cant believe this. My home address was incorrect and I tried to reach out to have it update but ended up texting the contractor. Im beyond furious right now.

I had to have the lock replaced on my home. Was directed to BONDED LOCK SERVICE, INC. It was a wonderful experience. Gordon came right on time. Installed the new lock and it works perfectly. He was courteous, kind and very knowledgeable. The work was done quickly, it looks great and works flawlessly. If you need lock replacement, this is the company to go to. Very happy with the result.

This is the worst company you could ever do business with. They will rob you of money and then proceed to milk your every last penny. For small business owners, this is the worst thing you could ever mix yourself with. I have had issues with them from the time I created an account with them. I would advise you to simply go to google and let google help you out. They have a plethora of options at your disposal.

After the 2nd independent contractor bailed at the last minute on my project, I fired Angi. I am not impressed that ICs cancel at the last minute. I protect my reputation -but because I don't know who they are - I cannot complain directly against their service. I needed this done before my painter comes. Now, I have to scramble. Really not impressed with Angi for really not knowing who they are matching up to a job that I wanted done last week.

Unbelievable, they send a electrician to the house and fix 2 outlets which he did. When he finished the job he tells me how Angie only pays him 90 dollars for this job and that I owe him another $50.00 plus $20.00 for the parts he bought. Don't have a problem with the 20.00 for parts but 50.00 where I run into some problems for me. But I payed him, when i called back to talk some one at Angie some guy answered in Philippines. Had to explain everything twice, when I asked to speak with a supervisor he said he will put me on the list. OK weird but OK. Is this how you handle your clients Angie? This is reticules do better. Overcharged and ripped off, not a good feeling.

My experience with running multiple companies, I have never felt so under valued and cheated! THEY WILL ROB YOU.

This is an EXCELLENT company. They are prompt, polite, reasonable & know what they are doing! Highly recommend!

Angie's list has gone down hill big time since they were purchased by Home Advisor. They duplicate most leads from one platform to the other. This allows them to bill contractors on both platforms.

I used Angie's list for an electrical job and was told we would not be billed until we were satisfied. The contractor did not complete the job for the motion light. I contacted Angie's list several times to resolve the issue, as they pride themselves on being our advocate. What I discovered was only undelivered promises. Instead of making the issue right and having the contractor fix the badly installed light, they merely offered me a partial refund. I appreciate the refund but my issue of a non working light still remains. I have asked for managers at Angie's list to call me on multiple occasions, only to be ignored. I noticed they have also managed to somehow be exempt from google reviews. Do your research, their system does not deliver as promised.
