I called to schedule an appointment for my freezer and was quoted around $140. THey canceled on me at the last minute. Rescheduled it for another time. I could not make it and canceled it. When I rescheduled it for a later time they canceled on me again at the last minute. I also was quoted $435. When I asked why they said the first time was a handyman this time it was a pro. Fine I'll pay the extra for someone who is a pro. SWhen the guy came he was nothing but a handyman who had to look up what to do on you tube. Samething I did. Then he couldn't really fix the problem. After he got the freezer apart told me to get a vacuum and vacuum it out to get the excess water out. I'm surpose to pay for that?!
We were in desperate need to get our sprinkler system repaired. Many of our plants and trees were dying. Also, we were looking for a gardener who knew what was needed to prune, trim, fertilize our plants, trees and also maintain our sprinklers. I consulted Angi's list, described my needs and received a call right away from Miguel of Palomas Landscape. He assessed the problem and sent his team to fix all of the sprinklers and tuned up all of our zones across two controllers. We hired him to be our gardener. He and his team are professional, competent and punctual. We give Palomas, Miguel & his team 5+ stars.
I needed an electrician ASAP as I had no lights in my bathrooms, hallway and half of my basement. Boy did I get lucky when I called a FNS Electric and spoke with a very nice and polite young man. I explained my dilemma and he said he would come to my home but it wouldn't be until 7:00. The fact that he was going to come that late, from Chambersburg I might add, convinced me I wanted FNS Electric to fix my problem. By the way, I live in Hanover, PA.
Cody Snyder figured out the problem and explained what he was doing and "VOILA" I had lights!

I was originally a contractor home advisor which Angie list bought out I had 18 five star ratings and they renewed my subscription without even letting me know. They said they sent me an email which I never received in my in box or spam I told him I did an authorized for a yearly subscription, and they refuse to refund me my money because they said they sent me that email just a scam. They don't care about the contractor they just want your money very hard to get refunds from them, when people don't call you back or when another contractor just checking your prices out. Even when you pause your leads they still send you leads and charge for them. If you're a contractor thinking about joining them be aware they're not out for your best interest.

Did not receive a single legitimate job lead. Spend over 300$ in false leads. While ON PHONE with THEM trying to cancel membership, was charged for 2 false leads, and was only willing to admit they can remove charges if they want to but they decided to fraudulently charge me for them only because I was canceling. Fraud at its finest.

Had my asphalt driveway replaced recently. My "finished" driveway is 4-6 inches below lawn level, about 4 inches narrower on each side. I was told it will "fill in" eventually. My old driveway was level with lawn in all areas. Unknown to me, workers moved a bunch of stuff around in my garage, which was okay since they were using equipment to finish asphalt. However, did not bother to return anything to original position. Shop around before using this company!

I contacted Angi because I thought it was safer than finding someone on my own. I was wrong. I hired someone for grout repair. We scheduled the date and time. He never showed up. He did not return my call to find out why. I never heard from him again. I contacted Angi to inform them of this. They couldn't have cared less. I asked if they were going to look into it and they said no. I asked if they were going to continue to refer this business to other customers without investigating the problem. They said yes.

I called trying to get some cleaning done in my house. I gave them a few jobs needing done. They said at the end that they sppreciated me being honest. They didnt seem to want to accurately want to clean. I needed living room, dining room, small bathroom floor done and one cupboard cleaned out. I have a disabling handicapp and really needed the help but they made me feel that they had to work. They gave me an outrageous price to make sure they didnt have to come. I am now working with my severe handicap trying to get my house ready for company. Your comany is just a rotten company

I've used HomeAdvisor and Angi and have found both are equally greedy in their mission to pull as much money from their contractors as possible without helping them in the least bit. Angie (Angie's List) has a policy of charging their contractors monthly regardless of what they offer the contractors. I paid for 3 months of service ( paid leads) with zero income from the leads. In the end i was forced to end my contract early to avoid wasting more money.

Sage Painting in Butler Pa. The very best! Sally And Gene the owners and main painters on the job are Fantastic! Pricing is very competitive and their follow up was excellent. Always on time, did the complete project as requested. We reviewed requirements of the signed contract before starting and walked thru at the end. They stated 3 days to complete the job and in 3 days it was done to my satisfaction. Painting of the walls and base boards was meticulous. Colors we selected we right on. I was cancelled twice half an hour to an hour before their arrival. The pro can cancel if he gets another job. You get the cancellation by email instead of phone call. I will never use Angi again.

They will charge you for so-called warm leads, even if the person accidentally got your service, or told you they didn't want service, and then tell you why don't you try calling them instead of issuing a credit. It's a scam, don't waste your money.

My boss used angilist in 2015 and stopped using in 2016.
Last month, he got a phone call from someone at Angi asking what other services he provides. He thought nothing of it. Right after that phone call, he started receiving emails and texts with leads. He never click on the leads because he didn't want to use service. He never told them he wanted to start using with them again, nothing was agreed-upon nothing was signed no verbal commitment that he wanted to service again. A month later, he received phone call from them saying you owe us over $1,000.
I called to discuss and they told me because we did not call and cancel the service in 2016 we still had the service. What BS! This is a total scam and they're insisting we owe them the money. I spoke to three people and now waiting for a callback which I'm sure I'll never receive. They said well in the notes… I said show me the notes oh we can't do that. Fraud and scammers!

This company is so confusing. They take your money first and then start spamming you with contractors and emails and texts and you have no idea if the job has been scheduled or not. Texts and phone calls come from Angi, HomeAdvsisor, and individual contractors. Contractors don't show up. I had to explain my situation 4 times on the phone and still the contractor has not contacted me---but how would I know with all the spam they send? My frustration level is through the roof!

I had called all kinds of handymen to get my porch repaired. When I called Angi I was pleased to get a contact. Platt Handy came on time, did the repair beautifully and were awesome people. We would recommend them to everyone. Thank you!.
The leads are expensive and you never recoup your money do not do it. They continue to charge you even after your balance is gone now I am in a dispute case because I never authorized the charges.

This is a scam company that takes advantage of small businesses. Please do not use the services listed here. They use deceptive business practices to swindle small businesses out of money.

George Shapley renovations and painting was a great disappointment. A 2-3 week project turned into 7 weeks. We never knew when they were coming or leaving. Because of personal problems missed up to 4-5 days in a row. My personal property was not protected, left trash and debris in my yard, did not even check the final day to see if workers had completed the knob. We had to clean up paint spots from our hardwood floors, had to go over stain for wood floors and baseboards. Our antique front door is damaged ( historical home, door (Irreplaceable). Many times sleeping in his truck in our driveway was how days were spent.
I don't understand how you recommend someone whose work you are not familiar with. Very disappointed and we ended up doing some of the painting and buying supplies. Originally I took many photos, almost daily because it was unbelievable. And because he said he injured his arm and some other excuses I decided I wasn't going to do a review or complain or anything just take it as a lesson learned. I even told him that. But after a few weeks of steel fixing work that I paid for I decided to write the review.

I used them to pressure wash my sidewalk and driveway a few days ago. I can't believe how clean both are now! Excellent service and very reasonable! TRY THEM!
We decided to try this platform, big mistake. Had we not called a few people back and got ahold of them our business reputation could have been tarnished. 2 days in a row we got leads that we called and both times they said so I have you scheduled for such and such time. Funny because I don't remember giving them the right to dictate our prices or our schedule. After talking to the customers we found out that they were charged money that was supposed to be what the job prices were. We were wondering, how much was our cut because we didn't get paid and furthermore not any type of notice that we were supposed to be somewhere to do the job. After speaking to the costumers we were furious. If we didn't show up but the customer was already charged who does that go against... you guessed it us, so our name is tarnished that we ran off with the money and didn't do the job... no thank you we've worked too hard to build our business to let Angie's leads ruin it. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Not to mention they send the leads out to multiple contractors in the area and charge a fee for those leads whether you get the job or not, glad to know Angie's leads is making hand over fist. Quite frankly you guys need to be shut down you are nothing but a scam company.

Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
