Contracted for lawn service, yard work. Scheduled, no show. Rescheduled twice more, no show. 2 hours later worker shoew up, and because I trusted him, he conned me out of $100 without doing any work.
I was searching for a company to do some paving in my backyard, several neighbors recommended Maucauley Brothers, I gave them a call in March, we set up a day and time to meet, The owner came promptly on time, we discussed what I wanted. He informed me that it would be a few months before they could start work, as they were very busy and had other jobs ahead of mine. Sure enough a few months later they called and said they could start my backyard work in 2 days. They were professional and reasonable. I can't say enough about the fabulous job the workers did. They completed the job in two and a half days, which was unbelievable. I can't stop smiling over the fantastic job they did paving my patio. The workers were meticulous in cleaning up and you would never know that any work had been performed in my yard. I would highly recommend this coming for all your paving and landscaping work. I am so satisfied with their work, I plan on having them come back next year to do some landscaping work.
Angi leads will scam you out of money for bogus leads also if you pause account it does not stay paused for listed amount of time customer service is not helpful and they will not refund you or correct issues just give you the run around
When you call the "customer" lead, the number often doesn't work, or nobody answers. You get charged anyway and when you request a credit they deny your request. If you can't reach the customer, it's not a lead. They could be intentionally doing this. Charging someone that you do not deliver is fraud.
The following is a review for All Around Renovations, LLC
And owner, Michael Storniolo, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey.
We had previously seen Michael's work in our neighborhood and liked what we saw. When we got together with Michael, we explained that we wanted to replace our crumbling front brick stairs, replace the cement walkway, and replace the crumbling brick retaining wall. In addition, we also wanted to add a portico over the new front stairs. Michael was instrumental in helping us decide what needed to be done, what materials would be best, and designing the new portico. The end result exceeded all of our expectations! We are thoroughly satisfied with the work Michael and his team has done. His crew is hard working, courteous, and did a great job. Michael also did a great job directing and working with his crew. We have received many compliments from our neighbors and people walking by. The appearance of our house has dramatically changed and has taken on a refreshing and fantastic new look. We highly recommend All Around Renovations, LLC.
So where do I start…. I've only been with them a month. In that time I've had to call 4x and try and cancel. I was not getting any customers that would answer phone and based on THIER criteria I qualified for credit for that lead. They started denying the credits and gave a excuse of it wasn't meant for people who don't answer. The criteria states UNABLE TO CONTACT CUSTOMER. Doesn't say how but now they give me other criteria not listed. Then I give them another shot they give free leads and 1 in five answer. I got very upset called back and was then told your number pops up to customers as 1-877…. And some people see that and don't answer but we can take it off. Why even put it then knowing people ignore those, "because it's for statistics" they took it off and I got ten leads, guess how many answered? Not a one answered the phone. I had one lady tell me she never contacted the website for services. These people manufacture fake leads so they can charge contractors for the information and it's not even real. We are mostly small business trying to get going and you vultures prey on us. Do not use them. Oh and watch their response it's an automated response like all the others. They are glad I'm too small to sue them and expose their fraudulent business. Please stay away. Had to choose one star to submit or they wouldn't even get that.
The job took longer than expected and Angi would not pay the contractor. He installed an electrical switch for a ceiling fan and Angie's would only pay him $90 for time + supplies. I paid Angi $278. They wanted an additional $550 from me in order for the contractor to be paid for all his time. I will hire the same contractor directly for my next project. Will never work with Home Advisor/Angi again!
I was a customer of Unique Visions Nursery and Landscape, Inc. (UVNL) for ten years. Every Tuesday they cut my lawn and trimmed my hedges; every first of the month I sent them my check. Recently, UVNL decided to trim my thirty-year-old, six-foot-high hedges down to 12 inches. Not only did this cause eight of my healthy hedges to die; UVNL also pulled down the fence panels from the north end of my backyard when they removed the five feet of cut hedges.
When I contacted UVNL's President to fix the damage they created, they told me that the hedges died due to too much rain. As far as the fence they tore down, UVNL said it was due to the fence being dilapidated. All I know is that I had a standing fence with lush green hedges before UVNL created the current situation.
All I have asked of UVNL is that they 1) replace the fence panels they pulled down and 2) replant the eight hedges they killed. To date, this has not occurred.
One side note, UVNL has cancelled me as a customer claiming Covid as their excuse. Meanwhile, I remain current on all of my payments due UVNL.
There empty leads. They send me address to vacant homes. They send 1 good lead to every 8 leads. This is insane. I will look for an alternative
This company leeches off contractors. With misinformation. They should not be rewarded for any contracts. Take the middle man out! That scam with fake reviews. Beware!
Had a hard time finding someone to replace an outside wall until Tim Wheeler took the job. Tim was very knowledgeable about what we wanted and did at a reasonable price.
I chose to do a pay upfront plan and schedule two weeks out. On the day that the service was supposed to be provided, I stayed home, but no one showed. When I tried to call, I was put on terminal hold and then told I could leave my number and they will call me back. They finally called me back at 18:30 And who already charged my credit card by 17:00, even though nobody ever showed up. No call from the service provider. Nothing. VERY unprofessional. Done with this group!
We signed up with Angi 6 months ago. We never received a lead that pertained to our business. We have paid them $3,000 and have not gotten one job from them. When we tried to cancel our account there is no call back email back. I have emailed them at least 10 times and have called them 10 times. Worst company ever. I am completely disappointed with this company.
Do not use! Do not use! Do not use! Seriously, save yourself the headache. I saw the reviews and still didn't listen This site is seriously the worst. After trying to cancel my appointment after it was rescheduled at the very last minute (the guy canceled 30 minutes before he was supposed to be there) I found out how incredibly difficult it is to do so. I hired a pro to come out so I could utilize my l toilet again as I couldn't wait three more days to have it done. Long story short, my account was charged $300 for a service I didn't use and I can't get "customer service" to help with anything. You might get lucky and get a professional that does a good job, but I wouldn't chance it. Go to google, read reviews about your local handymen, and get it done the right way without the headache of using Angis.
Locked me into a year of junk calls and nothing but headaches. Was impossible to get out of it. I made MAYBE $100 and lost thousands! I am a small business and nearly went bankrupt due these chuckleheads. They couldn't help a small business success if their life depended on it!
I have had nothing but issues with my roof. I had five leaks sense the roof has been replaced. There is a $6656. 40 outstanding balance with a contractor and I don't want a lean placed on my property. While Rosser has come to fix the roof leak each time it still leaks. The roof has taken over a year to replace the first time and now continues to leak.
I've successfully used Angi's List in the past and found their service and website helpful. Ever since the merge with HomeAdvisor everything has gone downhill including their website. This morning I got an email from Angi letting me know a contractor had sent me a message. When I clicked the "read message and respond" button the link took me to a blank HomeAdvisor page. I then tried to check for messages on the Angi app and just got "Start a new project". I had no messages on the app. I called the Angi "We're always here to help" phone number at the bottom of the email and just got a fast busy signal. The number didn't work! So…. I looked up the Angi customer service number on the web and called that. After explaining my problem - I wanted to read the message and couldn't - the representative told me to click the link in the email. Of course I got the same blank HomeAdvisor page! She then resent the same email and told me to try that link. Guess what happened again? Finally she tried the link herself and saw there was a problem. She put me on hold and came back to let me know there was a website problem but she'd transfer the call to HomeAdvisor (not Angi) and they could read me the message from the contractor. No idea how I would be able to respond. The call went to a fast busy signal and was dropped. I'm not trying to call back. I'll call the contractor directly. Get your act together, Angi!
Do not sign up or join angi list or leads. Its like a marriage when you try to leave its a hassle. Do not join because they make it very hard to leave. I've called and called and talked to many different employees. All of them want me to stay and i keep telling them i want to cancel my account and they just put my account on hold. It is a scam. They have taken $700 from me and i haven't made $1 from their leads. Do not join. Do not join. Do not join. Sign the prenup. Sign the prenup. Sign the prenup.
Don't ever use this company! If you do, you'll end up paying for projects that never get completed. They just want your credit card information. Whether the job is done, or done right doesn't matter to this company. You will get the run around if you call or email. Think twice before using this service. Total scam.
I am not sure what value they add. I submitted a request for cleaning service. I got all sorts of emails that someone was interested in cleaning. I clicked on the email link to the vendor interested and nothing came up except for ads to join Angie for 19.95. Angi called me and said they were sending out requests. Again, no one contacted me... more emails, same result. I'm not saying anything negative happened with service, I am saying that nothing of any use happened and the process was just annoying. I ended up Googling, finding a few companies, picking one.
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
