I have used Angi to hire a plumber, a repairman and a fence company since we moved into our home 3 months ago. I have been happy with work performed by all of the companies we selected.
The company is very professional and has reasonable prices.
They are fast and care about giving you a good service.
Thumbs down! After hiring pro here to do a simple door project they lied about being able to do, having paid extra to get Angie's‘Happiness Guarantee', I realize that that was just a way to make extra money and not to help anyone with good service.
I was looking for an exterior house painter and within seconds, had several options. The one I went with did excellent work. I will be using Angi for whatever I need done. Very easy app to use.
In my area, Butte County, I'd been trying to find someone to pour a patio slab for me. In May 2021, I began looking for a licensed contractor but no one was calling back. Finally, in July 2021, I turned to Angi and immediately was connected to 'Advanced Concrete Solutions'. Daniel answered the phone, showed up the same day to access the job, and I had a quote by the next day. Today, August 10,2021, the 11' x 11' patio slab got poured, and it will change my life. Thank you!
DG was responsible for providing service to help install kitchen appliances. His work was exceptional. He was very diligent to make sure every thing was done correctly. He kept his work area very clean finished in a timely manner. I can highly recommend him.
They sent me five names. Three never return my call the one that showed had no proper license and insurance. And they had the nerve to charge me $232. I ended up using an electrician not from Angie service they suck
I was astounded by the way Carlos Mayberry took his time to really listen to what I wanted. The quote was very detailed and comprehensive. Easy to understand and I was given different packages all giving me what I wanted just at different scales of quality. In the long run I went with the best package because I wanted my property value to go up and it has! Thanks to rock creek construction and Carlos's wonderful skilled crew thanks again!
I strongly caution you about this group. After paying $287/yr to join, I received my first 2 leads at $107 each. NEITHER person returned my calls or emails. Angi Leads won't refund those charges because it's "just part of the business". I received 2 more leads and was able to finally have them credited because (1) their charge was more than the cost of the job and (2) the person just wanted a quote so they could make plans for the future. Run far and run fast!
The hardscaping project was submitted to Angi and I received multiple estimates. Hard Scape LLC was awarded the project based upon pricing and confidence in their projected ability to complete it successfully. After some initial delays due to bad weather in the spring, the work including landscaping, retaining wall, pavers, and lighting was completed. I was so happy with their outstanding work that I expanded the project to include additional walkway and parking area. Their work exceeded my expectations and I have received numerous compliments on how the patio turned out.
I am very pleased with the Angie website. Most recently this website enabled me to find a cleaning service after my being frustrated with two duds. Angie connected me with the service I needed, service that performed and delivered a solution to my problem.
I am usually able to find, experienced, professional and reasonable prices from service providers.
I booked an AC repair appointment through the site and received a text 2 hours before my appointment to cancel due to a "... last minute pro call-off..." not once, but twice.
This into itself is highly unprofessional. However, it gets worse.
I called support after they cancelled my, already once cancelled, appointment. What I learned on the call was disturbing. As it turns out, they never had anyone booked, at all. The text I received, was a total fabrication. The individual on the support line let me know they couldn't find a profession in my area and they were going to keep trying.
At this point, I had lost all faith in their ability to:
A. Honestly conduct business.
B. Fill my extremely simple appointment.
That being said, I cancelled my appointment and had them refund my membership. I then called a local professional and had a same day appointment within 15 minutes.
The way Angi operates is unethical. They should not be lying to customers about their booking process. There is an expectation of finality when you communicate I've booked an appointment. What you should be telling customers is that they're REQUESTING an appointment and that there is no guarantee it will ever be filled.
I never would have used Angi in the first place had I known I wasn't actually booking an appointment.
If you read the response of the rep all say the same thing. It looks like once a month they go and post a response once a month. I wanted a garage, contractors did not show for their schedule appointment. Angi (Book Now) just drop out of contact. I am looking for quality work - if you can show for you own appt, it make me wonder about the quality. I have used Angie in the pass and the work has been outstanding. However since the merger of Home Advisor with Angie I'll take my money to someone who show on time. Even when I reviewed the contractors they had selected (if you review Angi) they show that they have been associated for 4 years (and no review) although you look at other review searches their rating is a 2 or 3 with the same problems noted time after time. I was going to push through the problems but after thinking about it naaaaaaaa By the way - when you call their customer support they ask if you going to write a review - What's that all about?
I find the site harder to navigate in looking for the service I need. The companies in Las Vegas are very unresponsive requesting quotes. Since relocating here I have found it difficult to find someone. Most of my projects have been done by Google searches.
I'm a 40+ years building tradesmen, I have a wide range a trained skills, I hosted a radio show called Richmond home improvement. So I was skeptical at best. But I was just floored by how many solid company responded. And I had a very tight window (7 days tops) to have job complete. I will now be a Angie fan. I should thank you for making my life easier. We are a boutique hotel with sports bar pool and I constantly have to answer questions about there house problems and always trying to get me to look at stuff. Now I can just say go on Angie that's the best advice I can give. Ty
I signed for a one year contract the rep lied to me. The my scammed me for 2 years. Bad business practices
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
