America's Best

I agreed to a remote eye exam at the Mc Donough America's Best location as I needed more contacts and I couldn't see my actual Dr for like a month (yes my fault for not thinking ahead) but found the exam was not as thorough as my regular exams has been. Then I found, after waiting two weeks for a "test" pair (which were ordered along with a box) that they were incorrect. They do NOT keep any test contact lenses there. So I had to wait a week for an actual Dr to come (and this happens once a month I'm told, anll remote otherwise) and do a re-exam to get the prescription corrected. So I was wearing my glasses at work by this time and it was really not working well for me. So I had to ask (it wasn't offered) if they happened to have any contacts that were close to my prescription and they did. So kudos to that. But it's been 2 weeks now and after waiting 15 minutes on the phone, found the new ones were not in yet. By this time I've seen my real Dr and got a much better thorough exam and a pair of tester contacts, and ordered more. Needless to say I will not ever go back to Americas NOT Best again. Did I also say had an appt at the Griffin office before this one at 6pm and when I got there I was told there was an emergency so Dr was an hour and a half behind so could I reschedule? I asked why no one called to tell me this and reschedule so I didn't run from work a half hour to the office? They just shrugged. No appointment except during day. My work doesn't allow me to leave. So I thought I would try McDonough. No difference, I advise to skip them altogether. Thanks for reading

Friendy staff that was very helpful and great price's also. Service was great and i was well satisfied with my new glasses.Got there early for my appointment and i was in and out in a timely manner.---Jack--

$79 for 2 pair of glasses, right? Well not if you want lenses. Then the price doubles.
Want anything else, bifocals, lenses that are not real thick, it is really going to cost you.

After I kept answering no to all the options the price came to $129. Then I was told someone had to come and review the price. The "heavy hitter" came and informed me that it is a "package" deal and it would cost even more. Yep, the price ended up being $150.

I got up and walked out.

The folks at the Powell location was very professional and friendly. The glasses was repaired and fitted. We'll be returning in the near future for an eye exam. I give them a 5 star review.

Ladies that work there are professional but personal, I like that, know what their doing. Took a little longer this time to get my glasses,. Been coming to America's best for 6 yrs, or longer. Like coming to America's best.

The dr very thorough, explaining everything. Staff super nice. I've been to three places to get glasses. This doctor listen to me and then the test I have two pair of perfect glasses. I can see! Merrit blvd is the one I went too.

I walked into America's Best store of 6323 East Highway 191 in Odessa, Texas and was impressed by their services. I recommend them wholeheartly and Anabel Luna. Thank you.

Brought my prescription in to have two pair of glasses made for $79. After receiving them last year I wore one pair and put the other pair away in my drawer. Took them out the other day and one of the lenses fall out. I took them back and they stated the screw has broke and they can't fix them. They will however sell me a new frame for $69. Now they peddle their eye exam for $59 and didn't have to perform it but still charged $79 for the two pair of glasses. In any event, they don't stand behind their product and their customers are just walking dollar signs to them. (At least at my location in Amherst, NY

Avoid, avoid, avoid! This place only wants your $$ does not care about you or your eyes. No eye dr even on staff, all done virtually! Refused to refund or give me my correct prescription after they sent the wrong order to my house. So I paid for contacts that are useless to me and have no recourses. Horrible horrible company. Avoid!

The first question I asked When making my apt was Do you take my insurance and they said yes, so I made an apt got my exam they never asked for my insurance until I asked about it after my exam was over and found out that they couldn't find what they were looking for for my insurance. They said they were going to call insurance the next day and call me back. They called me back and said that it was all covered. The doctor that checked my eyes was in another state but gave me some contacts to try but they were out and had to order them, well I called back a few weeks later and they still didn't come in, so i tried a few weeks after that and same answer. I called a third time and was told that they never were ordered. This was the worst experience that I ever had to deal with. I would rather for blind than to step foot in that place again.

My appointment was March 07,2023. My eyes were examined and I was promised contacts for March 22,2023. Today is April 24,2023 and the only products I have to show after paying America's Best in good faith are two different lies after reaching out to the Humble, Texas location twice. America's Best has blatantly failed to provide timely communication, honest responses and as of 4:00 pm today no product. I attempted to convey the fact that I paid the company in good faith to a representative by the last name of DelaSantos,she responded that my insurance paid for my order in a very indignant tone. At this point I've paid for merchandise that I can't access or make use of.

My husband and I both purchases glasses at the Huber Heights, Oh location. The representative was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She didn't try to push products on us but suggested what lenses would work best for our lifestyles. Will definitely return

I eye exam for contacts and doctor gave me pair to use until I get contacts in mail.I had the ones doctor gave me so tried on frist and they did not work. So when I got the new ones in the mail I carried them back. They told me to bring them back on my next visit and they would refund. So on my next visit I carried them back. And then they told me to bring them back when I get my new one and they would make a refund and a exchange. So when I carried them back the last time they told me it was over 30 days and they couldn't make a refund. And they were sorry about the miss communication

I have a regular out-of-network Optometrist, however decided to give Americas Best a chance, due to the lower cost and in-network. Late January, I went to have my yearly examination and new prescription for contacts. I do mono vision (one eye for near and the other for far).
The MD (she) barely used the machines and was quick to informed me I could not do mono vision and for best results I had to do bifocal contacts. A prescription was writen but there were none available to try. I was sent off to the front store clerk, who informed me it would take about two weeks for the contacts to come in. It took them three weeks to come in. I was called to come pick them up, try them for two weeks and if ok, they would order them. 1st pair, I could read but could not see far – not good.
Two weeks later with a different doctor and NO EXAMINATION, she said, she would adjust the prescription and reorder. This time it took 2 weeks to get a call. 2nd pair, I could read and see some what far but blurry – not good.
The third appt in and a different doctor, which I thought he was having a bad day and not he's actual personality. He was adamant about their prior prescribed contacts "brands" poor quality and in a hurry to order the different brand, he warned me that my vision would not be perfect even with bifocals – "if I fix the far you won't be able to read, so which do you want". I let him order the contacts. Another two weeks, I picked them up and he was right. I could see far a little better but for close nothing.
After almost 3 months dealing with Americas Best, I wrote them off. I went to my regular optometrist who is right across the street. In 1 visit he checked my eyes and was able to write a prescription for bifocal contacts, He even had samples for me to try. I did not have to wait to 2-3 weeks to find out if the prescription was good. I actually, was able to clearly see far, close and read in about 35 min. I am very happy, I can see very well.
The saying "you get what you pay for",…it's absolutely true. Americas Best MDs have only 15 min per customers. They have a great selection of frames but unfortunately that's all, I would not recommend if you're truly looking to have your vision corrected and not just a new cute frame.

Went through at least three tries to get my lenses made correctly but I'm now living with lenses that aren't correct. The doctor is no longer there and I don't know why, but if he left stuff off people's prescriptions or didn't prescribe correctly I can see why as I'm living with lenses that are not correct until I find another doctor.

Made appts for husband and myself. Dr was 15 min late and rushed. I told him I had prisms and he said "oh" then checked for that. I said I was having trouble with up close reading and he said my prism changed a bit. Fastest eye exam I ever had. When I went to get them, no prism in them. I was told Dr would be in to fix them in two days. I asked to be called, no call. I wanted to be sure the right script was put in them. When I called the receptionist was very snarky and rude. Would not listen to my needs. Now I have to go back again to get eyes rechecked because Dr messed up. I pay for what I need and it's upsetting when it isn't correct from a specialist and then get treated badly by other employees.

I purchased these frames and walked out the door happy until I put them on at home. Then noticed they were warped!

Some staff was rude just because we are Hispanic, it is unprofessional and unethical to look down on people just because of their ethnicity or race. Bad experience
