Very accurate vehicle report provided. Cheaper than most other places. It was delivered instantly. No problems. Thanks!
These guys troll auto trader and Craigslist for business instead of paying for legitimate advertising and building their business on good practice. Who cares about how it compares to Carfax if you're cheating your way through.
I had purchased Carfax in the past when I was selling my car to help aid in the sale. This was half the price of Carfax and had more info! What a great deal. Highly recommended.
Super fast and accurate service and it was cheaper than Carfax. It helped me sell my car quicker! Thanks!
Whether this company is legit or not they certainly engage in very questionable practices. You'll get a legitimate sounding email from someone on Craigslist asking you questions about a car you have for sale. When you respond with an answer you'll get a reply that says, do you have a VIN report? If not try these guys (Americanvin) I've used them before etc... This wastes consumers time and is just straight unethical. I can't imagine why anyone would do business with a company that engages in practices like this when there are so many others that provide the same service.
You people are so stupid. Every legit website can be a scam bc a scammer use it?
NO, the website works as well, i paid for one report and get it in not more than 1 minute. So, the website it's ok. The problem it's with the people who use and request report from there.
Jesus
Listed my vehicle on Craigslist and already two "potential buyers" suggested me to use AmericanVin:
"Hey,
Do you have a vehicle history report that I can take a peek at? If you
Do not have it already, then you can find it from here as well:
http://americanvin.net its extremely cheaper than AutoCheck and
Will save you about 20 dollars.
I am dealing on craigslist for the very first time so really want to
Be sure that everything is okay with your vehicle before I construct
My final decision. I hope youll comprehend my problem.

And second one:
"Do you have a+current vehicle history report available? It will show if there are any major problems with it. If you do+not have one I suggest getting one here:
http://americanvin.net - I have_used them in the past when I was selling a vehicle and it was half the price of Carfax (only $19 - Carfax_charges $40 or more for a report).
I have heard of people getting^scammed on Craigslist. Honestly, an official report is a good selling point for any potential buyer that^may contact you. It will verify that it has not been in any bad accidents, that it has a clean title*and that it has not been stolen. There are so many scams on Craigslist.
Shoot me a message when you get it so that I can*take a look at it. I work odd hours, so please bare with me - sometimes I cannot respond immediately. Talk to=you soon. Thanks!"
Be aware and don't pay any money!
I had a similar experience to Mr. John C. Below... if your buyers ask you for a report, suggest you get it from a reputable site not from the one they suggest. Or if you're comfortable sharing your VIN then you can suggest that they get the report themselves. Here's another one that probably is a scam too (stay away): carvinleaks.com this was suggested by another "interested buyer"
Received an email saying somebody was very interested in the vehicle we were selling in craigslist saying that they needed a vehicle history report from this company to move forward. Totally bogus after reading this review confirmed what I thought.
Twice now and from two different fake Gmail accounts, I got the following (plus 3rd party payment page!):
"I am very interested. Do you have a current vehicle history_report available? It will show if there are any major problems with it. If you do not_have one I suggest getting one here:
http://americanvin.net - I have used_them in the past when I was selling a vehicle and it was half the price of Carfax (only $19 - Carfax charges $40 or more_for a report).

I listed a car on Craigslist and someone purporting to be an interested buyer contacted me about the car. Buyer said he wanted to see a vehicle inspection report and, of course, "suggested" that I use Americanvin.com.
Answer: Yes! I was scammed the first time, the report had barely any information on it and the person who made the appointment never showed up. They pretend to be interested in your car, once you buy it, they disappear. They also don't sound like they're really interested, they ask a bunch of questions first, then suggest you buy it and give you a hard sell. This is totally a scam. I have a worthless report and someone else just tried to get to buy it again. Go with Carfax. This isn't legit.
Answer: Yes paid 19.99 plus they charge. 60 cents international charge. And they sent email
