Overall amazon.ca is a great site to deal with. I have had a couple of instances where the seller was absolutely misleading in the item they were selling. Each time when Amazon was advised they promptly investigated and issued me a refund.

The only downside to Amazon these days is that they demand your CC in order to buy anything from their site. (They used to accept paypal). If you don't have a CC forget about buying anything from their site.

Amazon is a great site! They always have what I am looking for at comparable pricing. Not everything I have received was in A1 condition, but they are quick to help resolve any issues. Free shipping over $35 is great and my fiance has the Prime membership which is wonderful.

I just love this place for all these:
Shop at home, find everything you're looking for, very fast delivery at low cost (most of the time free), very good prices and good quality too!

Purchased a product from a vendor on Amazon.ca, vendor ended up being a fraudulent company out of China who was shipping defective products and then not issuing refunds. Not only that, but they were instructing unhappy customers to ship (at my cost) the product back to them to an address in Canada, turns out the address was just some random person's house in Scarborough, this poor person has been getting hundred of packaged returned to them, this is their home and they have called the police, on my end I contacted amazon and actually had to argue for a refund, i was told all along the way that I would also get the shipping costs returned, except when I got my refund there was no shipping costs, only the cost of the product, last angry call to amazon I was made to feel as if I was the problem, as if Amazon had done everything according to their "protocol" and that they would be doing me a "favour" if they gave me back the shipping costs, adding insult to injury if I wanted my shipping costs back I was going to have to call Billing Dept and arrange that myself, and of course the customer service department can't transfer me, and oh yeah they only work certain hours. Never in my life had I had such disgusting customer service, and never again will I trust that Amazon is the "secure" shopping site that they claim they are, WOW Amazon... major big fail on the customer service attitude, you did NOT protect me, and you did NOT treat me right when I became the victim of fraud as a result. I WILL NEVER SHOP ON AMAZON AGAIN!

Delivery is a joke
August 23, 2018

I purchased an item with express delivery. The price for express delivery was more then the item - $64. It was extremely important to get it in a couple of days. Unfortunately, the seller was in the US (very difficult to tell where the seller is located before purchase) and the item would not get here for 7 days. To top it off the USPS sent it to the UK.

This is the 2nd time I have experienced delivery problems. The last time, after 3 weeks of not getting the item, I gave up and asked for a refund. Which took another 2 weeks.

I can buy items from online stores with locations in the Canada and get it in 3 days. I bought a carpet from Pottery Barn in California and got it in 5 days. I dont know what Amazon does to make shipping so slow, but I will never ever buy from it again.

Horrible Service
August 17, 2018

Amazon charged me for Prime which i did not buy. I am lucky i even realized and saw the charge to my credit card. I called customer service and it is going to take 5 business days to get my money that they stole returned back to me. This is absolutely unacceptable as I have things i need to pay for with that money. Will never buy anything from amazon ever again.

Bad delivery service
August 9, 2018

In terms of product sales, most Amazon.ca products I ordered that were shipped from Canada or US were good, quality products and returns are not a problem. The overseas sellers- across the globe and I won't mention the countries are not trustworthy so check the seller first before ordering. About the delivery service, that's bad.
It's no wonder a lot of Canadians would rather shop in the US even if it's just Walmart. If you factor in the exchange rate and customer service the US is still ahead.
Amazon.ca has very bad delivery service. The delivery contractors and staff Amazon.ca hire are lazy with no initiative to make effort to deliver, they make excuses after excuses. Canada Post is so bad that no wonder that most of their jobs are no longer supported by Canadians.
Then there are those contractors- even worse!. It's easier to drive to the US to pick up your stuff at least you'll be told it's in the depot. In the US, we get our stuff on time, we gas up which is way cheaper than Canada and we still have the chance to buy groceries that are expensive if you were to buy them in Canada. It looks like Canadians patronize American business. Until Amazon discipline their people, many customers would jump ship to amazon.com

I bought a scope for a new rifle that had not come in yet. 4 weeks passed and finally my rifle showed up. Mounted the scope and find the scope defective, will not hold zero. Get in touch with seller, northern shipments a seller thru Amazon and they say toobad it's over 30 day return period. Explain to them the situation and still too bad for you. Get in touch with Amazon and their guarantee department and they say TOO BAD you have to keep the defective scope. I have been a good customer with Amazon and that's the way they treat you. Never buy from them again and will report this deal to every reveiw site I can find. Buyer beware of Amazon and northern shipments.

I had some items in my basket from yesterday to purchase, and today at the start of Amazon prime special deals day, the items have increased in price!
One item was $99 now gone up to $238 without any notice and it was not a special trial offer price.
The other was $39.99 and gone up to $59.99 BUT you get a 15% Prime day discount. How is this legally possible!

Never Again
July 11, 2018

Purchased a jacket for over $90.00 CAD. Jacket did not fit. Received a shipping label to return it only to find out was not an International shipping label. Contacted Amazon right away. It has now been over three 3 months and I still have the jacket in the package and no refund from Amazon. I have contacted them over six times and nothing. Their A to Z guarantee means nothing. Buyer Beware as Amazon has not and appears will not stand up for you with the seller even though you made the purchase from them.

No Issue
July 10, 2018

I have ordered many things from Amazon.ca, from DVDs to books to household stuff. Not all the products I have received are true to the advertisements. Shipping ETD is usually accurate (they even mark on my cell phone calendar automatically). I liked that when I search for something it lists all the sellers who sell the same item so I can compare deals. The only complain I have is that the. Com site carries more products than. Ca site.

Great overall!
June 14, 2018

First off I am a prime member so I pretty much never have any issue with shipping. It's always delivered on the right date, and the few times where the item came damaged or the wrong item got delivered, I had no issue returning it at all. I shop on amazon for nearly everything, I think it's one of the most trusty website out there. Just wish there was a paypal option to pay and god is it frustating to see how much cheaper everything is on amazon.com!

I shop on Amazon.ca almost daily. I have purchased things like clothing, electronics, wall art, shoes, computer gadgets, quality sheets and comforters, mens work books, books, and all kinds of gadgets that I see people use but cant find in stores. Shipping is so dependable and since I am a prime member I get most products within a day or 2. I have returned a few things without any hassles. They have refunded me my money almost immediately. I cant say the same about a lot of other shop on line companies that I have used. Their costumer service is top notch, they stand behind their customers. So happy to be a frequent Amazon shopper, saves me the trouble of rushing out and fighting traffic and searching for things... saves me time and money. Love this company!

I am exhausted with Amazon Canada. I have had too many items marked as delivered but no item to show for it. I have specified to never leave packages outside my door but somehow drivers still do so. I specified days and times that I would be at home to receive my items yet I get emails about delivery attempts outside of those days. I spoke to one driver after he called me and he told me that he would return the following day after 4 pm but then called me at 2:35 pm at work saying he is trying to get in the building. I asked him why he couldn't drop it off at 4 pm as discussed. Reply- "I would only have your package to deliver after 4 pm, I'm done for the day," I asked him to please deliver as I used prime and needed for the next day but he said he didn't have to do that if he was done. Customer service was helpful but with time sensitivity I needed the product that evening, not a replacement or refund.
I don't understand how lax Amazon is about the drivers scanning "delivered" without actually delivering. They say "oh sometimes drivers mark items as delivered when they are not, so wait for 24hrs and see if it comes up. How is this professional? Are they reprimanded? Clearly not. The complaints and inefficiency of the service delivery should result in mass training and practices reviewed.
I have some suggestions for the multi-million dollar company:
1. Do not allow drivers to mark items delivered when they know they did not do so. This is ridiculous. Implement penalties and better monitor the services rendered by drivers. You can track my every spending habit and predict my needs but you can't seem to accurately track drivers.
2. Provide a bigger space to disclose delivery instructions and actually insist on drivers following them.
3. Your logistics is in need of upgrading and repair. I don't know why a driver who refuses to deliver past 4 pm is given a package to deliver to someone who requests an after 4 pm delivery.
4. Do not leave packages outside apartment buildings (or use that excuse). That makes no sense.

There are many more but I am too tired.

Ordered online Prime for delivery on June 1 2018. Amazon also sent me a confirmation that my package has been delivered at the drop point address selected. Surprise! The address I went to pick up my package hasn't received my package! And ironically Amazon too has no clue and can't say when my order can be delivered. Inspite of contacting an agent on June 1 2018 and receiving an email that the agent would get back to me on June 2 2018. Amazon seems to be least considered in letting their customer know that they can't deliver on their promise. No resolution absolutely!

DO NOT USE AMAZON PRIME COZ AMAZON ENSURES THE DELIVERY IS NEVER PRIME

No more trust
June 1, 2018

In 2018, customer service, delivery and product quality has gone way way down. Third party suppliers have made it much worse... can you say Wordery?
Just got off a call at Amazon.ca customer service trying to get a refund after no delivery. Super rude and sarcastic service guy. He put me on hold and never came back. This is the eighth call to find out whats happening. Wordery and Amazon are now both blaming the credit card company. Nothing but a runaround. Im looking for a new service... time consuming runarounds make Amazon a thing of the past.
Account cancelled.

My last 3 orders never been delivered. Every time one response - your order got stack at customs - first two orders got my money back. But last one - can't even get money back - had to claim it on some other site. Deleted my payment method - I never will come back. This is completely biggest SCAM.

Lot's of junk
May 8, 2018

I decided to spend money on a dash camera and paid for priority shipping only to get a piece of garbage that broke on me two days later. Now i am dealing with horrible customer service that wants me to mail it back and wait weeks for my refund. I paid for two day shipping cause i wanted my item asap. Now i have to wait over a week to get my money back and be able to buy a dash cam elsewhere. It is not my fault they sell junk that breaks down two days later... Thanks for nothing Amazon.
