I added my driver to my policy by phone. And then we went to the messenger service to try to switch the title and the tags over to her. Allstate had me call them twice and both times I was told they would send something by email to the messenger service. An hour later nothing came and we couldn't get anything done that we needed to get done! I proceeded to chat with one Allstate agent that wasn't very nice even after I told them what had happened and how long I had to wait for them! Instead the agent on the chat finally told me there's nothing I can do for 24 to 48 hours? Why wasn't I told that the first two times I called instead of waiting an hour for an email. Because both of them agents assured me that there was something they could send that could help me. But nope. Thanks a lot for nothing.
Allstate is terrible they take and take and when you leave them they say you are zeroed out you owe nothing then send you a bill and the insurance rates are extremely high and they are not very nice to people when you call and in all the years I was with them I never saw a agent!
I was hit by an allstate insured they refused to have one of their agents come out to estimate the damage to my car when I have called I have been hung up on 4 times so far. I had to download their app to send them pictures and they sent an estimate did not include the damage to my rim. Dise not return calls. Very rude when they do answer before hanging up on me. I am not an Allstate customer and will never be for sure now seeing how bad their customer service is and I definitely did not want to download their app to send them pictures of the damage to my car from their insured to take up storage space on my phone.
Run from this company! Someone hit my car over 4 months ago, their insurance accepted responsibility and Allstate MISTAKINGLY put the fault into my name! I have not had a rental for over a month while it was being fixed and now they are saying that I have to pay 500$ to get my car out WHEN I WAS NOT THE ONE WHO HIT MY CAR. Absolutely ridiculous! I have called 10 times and none of them get to the bottom of the issue but keep trying to get me to call back another day. WORST company EVER. A joke of a company! I had nothing to even do with this accident!
If anyone is considering getting Allstate for auto insurance please don't they do not want to pay up when something happened to your vehicle and they're quick to say it's a total loss when your vehicle could have been repaired they're just that cheap they don't want to pay out any money but they want to collect it please think two or three times before you even consider them
I canceled my motorcycle policy, but they still ended up charging me for the next month. I just saw this past due bill 6 weeks after I cancelled. I verified multiple times on the day that I called to cancel my policy to make sure that everything was paid for and I would not be billed more and they told me everything was current. Now the woman on the phone tells me that even though my bill is set for the 4th of each month that it renews on the 27th of each month. No one has ever told me this before and they are just trying to get more money from me when I did not have coverage through them.
Never sign up Allstate.

A woman came into my lane striking me it cost a Allstate a whole $1000 to fix a minor scratch basically. They raised my monthly premium from $247.00 to $777.00!

Allstate is good at taking your money but is worthless at paying claims. My entire neighborhood got new roofs when a tornado came through area and downed huge pines around like dolls. Amazing how everyone got new roofs except those insured through Allstate. Now my 30 year roof is leaking everywhere and it is only 13 years old and Allstate will not cover. If you have Allstate you better start looking for another company because they are horrible and will not cover anything. Roofing companies won't even return your call once they discover you have Allstate.
We had Allstate insurance on our home and cars for more than 22 years. We had never filed a claim, ever. They told us we had to trim a tree and replace 4 tiles on our roof or they were going to cancel our policy. We trimmed the tree and replaced one part of our roof. We hadn't made it to fix the tiles yet and they canceled our policy. They canceled us after 22 years, never having filed a claim, for 4 tiles. Now we have State Farm, the same coverage, lower cost. I had an account with allstate for car insurance. I was paying too much so I decided to change carriers. My account payment history was perfect. I called them to cancel and paid the remaining balance to close the account. About a month later I received a notice from a collection agency stating I owed a balance of $56 and that I'm in collection. My credit scores have dropped over 30points because of this. So now I have paid it in full and will have a 7year mark on my credit report because allstate is a garbage company immediately putting people in collections when all they had to do was call me to let me know there was a pending balance. I will recommend never doing business with allstate. Scumbags
They are absolutely HORRIBLE! Pray that if you ever get in an accident, the person that hit you doesn't have Allstate. No one has any idea what's going on. No one, and I mean no one, calls you back in a timely manner. Five months of them telling us "oh, we don't know if you we reimburse you for your rental car…" their driver is why we are in a rental car. Seriously people, run. They are not worth the headache and stress.
I've been with Allstate for about 6 months... my policy started at about $136.00... This policy went up about $29 more for an alleged trailer I owned... A few days ago I tried to remove the "trailer" from the policy At least 3 months because I'm doing a conversion... That day I found out that my RV appeared in the policy as a trailer! This vehicle is a huge 1999 Van Hool Bus that weighs 25 tons... which for Allstate was a simple trailer pulled by a car. After much insistence, he was removed from the policy under the promise of returning the 5 months I paid as credit. A few days later... not seeing the money in the bank... I contact Allstate again where I find out that there was no refund... that it was for Allstate itself... that the money was applied as a discount of a new policy on 11/27/2022. That after the refund it was $189.00!... This means that these gentlemen from AllState charge themselves and take the change. When I claimed this abuse... they told me that they had raised me $300 for something... plus $ for something else... Anyway... a policy that started at $136.00 is now worth more than $300. If we add the supposed $189...plus the $175... I would be paying $364 for my policy... for a single car... owner of my house and car… no debit… not mortgages)... without accidents or tickets for more than 3 years (actually. I have never had a ticket accident in over 25 years of driving). I am a 74-year-old senior... These gentlemen are thieves and abusers licensed by the State. I suspend my police for 11/27/2022… I need resolving this problem with urgency
This review is for the CLAIMS department only. This has been the WORST service I've ever experienced anywhere - in person or over the phone! I was given a claims adjuster - Kala Lawrence and the communication has been terrible. The first conversation between us was good and professional. She explained the process and how she would keep me updated along the way. All lies!
I've called and left numerous voicemails, but she does not return my calls. I called her from another number, and she picked up! Then placed me on hold and hung up the phone, very unprofessional. Now I'm trying to get my reimbursement check and they have shorted me and per usual, she's not answering! Whenever I call, I speak with other claim adjusters who can't help me because I'm assigned to Kala but yet she responds to them via chat (while I am on the phone with them - but won't pick up my calls)... how crazy?!? I've reached out to her manager Angela and left 3 voicemails and I've yet received a call from her. If you have Allstate and have to deal with the claims department, I hope you experience is much better than mine!
I hate to leave this review, but my hopes are someone in leadership sees this message and reaches out to me with a solution so I can be done with this claim - June 2022 to the end of November 2022 is too long to be dragging this claim out.
We had a policy with Allstate for our auto insurance. In July we went on our honeymoon and it was out of the country, so the payment declined since it came from out of the country and appeared fraudulent. Allstate did not let us know, and we were charged for August and September. Then, they apparently noticed that the prior charge did not go through and cancelled our policy at the beginning of October. We were still charged later that month. They gave us absolutely no notice that our policy was canceled, and the app said that everything was good and up to date. We only found out because someone hit our car and my husband called to get the information. This is when he was informed it has been cancelled for over a month. When asked why we were not informed, he was told they "don't have the manpower." They also are still going to charge us to reinstate our claim, even though it was their fault the policy ended in the first place and we were not informed.
Company is happy to add drivers to a policy but will not remove when owner of vehicle requests without a death certificste of the ADD on driver. They do not communicate. Aftwr death of my mom took 3 months to cancel her policy with zero communication about what is really needed. Death cert proof of poa executor etc. In case of add on no longer driving, owner. Could not remove driver without a md leetter stating md revoked the lisc of the insured. I own the policy. I added her as a driver. I should be able to remove the add on. NO paid for 2 YEARS for her even though she was not driving. FRAUD. Impossible to get a hold of an agent and get answers. Sent to corporate and no answers or resolution given.

I work for an insurance company and tried reporting a claim to Allstate today. After numerous failures due to the unhelpful automation and the website not assisting, I finally called 800-allstate. Spoke with Barbara at 9:23 AM EST. Advised the issues I was having and she told me ultimately that she couldn't do my job for me. I politely told her she was rude, and that I'm sure AS wouldn't appreciate her speaking to anyone like that. I advised her the elderly customers much catch much trouble with people like her at the helm. I've been in the insurance business for almost 30 years and couldn't believe the rudeness.
BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER TO ALLSTATE FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS WORTH NOTHING TO THEM!
My first home claim was just denied as soon as they got lt. Not before they had some fun playing with my misfortune and me going thru hardtimes.
It is sad to find out that they did not care about the problem with the house just my premium when time is due because they left me alone when I needed them the most.
THE GOOD HANDS WERE HIDDEN JUST SHOW UP WHEN IS TIME TO COLLECT THE PREMIUMS!

It is the worst insurance company when come to claim. My roof was damaged badly, discussed with them over six months, no progress. Neighbor's roof with less damage, but their insurance company replaced their roof very fast. Never buy any insurance from this company.
Answer: Geico, Progressive, State Farm. They're all the same and rates are based on YOUR personal driving history.
Answer: Because my husband chose them. Now he's gone and I think, so is Allstate.
Answer: You will be on Hold for a while... then you'll get someone who may or may not give you correct information. Be prepared to call back MANY times.
