I put in a request a month ago to take out money for a down payment for a house and I keep getting the run around and saying the 35 pages of paperwork is not enough. I was supposed to close on this house on Friday and will basically lose it because their carelessness.
My employer switched over to Alight (SmartChoice HSA). I enrolled in my benefits in Oct. 21. I received an email from Alight in Nov requesting my DL and SSN to be uploaded. I did it and my HSA card was supposed to be mailed in 7-10 business days. No card! I received another email on 1/3/22 requesting another DL and SSN upload. I called them on the 3,11 and again on today (26th) and they're hanging up on me as SOON as I say, I want my HSA card. They're taking money out of my check and my employer has also made a contribution. I'll make time today because I plan call until someone helps me. This is ridiculous!
I'm retired from Duke Energy for five years now. I got a statement from alight (who "runs" the FSA) saying I owned $37,000! After two hours on hold I was told "sorry, it was a mistake. A glitch in the system." Well, it gave me f**king chest pains and I am right now pursuing legal action. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
I am an alternate payee from a divorce decree Qdro in ohio. My exes employer CCF, used alight
" Solutions " to administer their frozen pension fund. I have been trying to get paid out on this since October 2021. They claim i set up an online acct and pin which i never did. Because I couldn't provide an phone pin they refuse to give me any vehicle to divest my funds. They claim to have sent me a temporary phone pin, I never received via us mail. When I called and complained they saaid they would overnight mail me a new pin. When i received the pin i called and it said the pin had expired, 2 days after i got it. Its apparent to me that this is a predatory, horribly mismanaged company, that instructs its employees to do whatever they can not to payout the pensioners monies. They should not be allowed to continue in business. I have read each of upwards of 100 complaints and negative reviews on numerous sites. What does it take to shut down such a horrible organisation. The Cleveland Clinic and alight should be ashamed.
This what I would not even deem a company has done to me and others within my company in where they just have ripped people clean off. To add insult to injury they did so one week before Christmas Day.
They have my IRA and are refusing to cash it out to me. I have spoken to a variety of people and after filling out multiple forms they say they will not accept my signature wet or electronic. I am now I talks with the state attorney general and FINRA. Avoid these scum bags at every cost
This company cannot handle a lawnmowing business with 1 employee. Absolutely horrendous service and reports.
I retired from a large hospital system that has Alight managing pensions and health care reimbursement accounts. Nightmare! Multiple denials of legitimate claims, requires excessive duplicative documentation; reps have been pleasant but completely uniformed, and downright incompetent; I ve actually heard "I don t know" as an answer to request for assistance. And their on line records don t match with the mailed docs; my pension has been in limbo for 18 months due to constant miscalculations. I ve filed an appeal, and contacted the Attorney General in MA. I have NO CONFIDENCE in this company, nor does any other retired nurse I know. But their profits are huge... just not invested in competent customer service.
General Mills rolls your retirement account over to this scam retirement broker if you don't call back exactly 7 days from when you provide your rollover retirement account information. Alight has taken astronomical fees out and practically depleted my account. I have sent in 7 requests to have my accounts rolled over- always have a fax confirmation and they always say they don't get the faxes or they only received one account. According to their plan policy their Roth accounts are not transferable so you have to cash it out. I'm still fighting to get my 401k rolled over, but they just won't do it. They are running a major scam especially with the fees they are charging! Do not use this company! Do everything possible to avoid being in business with them!
Alight is not allowing me to rollover my account, they are not allowing me to access my account, and they are charging me fees to keep it open. I guess that is thousands of dollars that I will never see. F*** alight.
On 9/28/21 I called Alight and spoke with Jose. Due to COBRA costs, I needed to remove my daughter from my benefits and only keep her on my vision. Jose assured me that this would be taken care of immediately. This conversation lasted at least an hour and he seemed to be a bit confused.
On 10/4/21 I called to make sure the changes were made and to pay my benefits. I spoke with Ryan and he indicted that no changes were made so I asked to speak with his supervisor., Karen. She advised that I did have benefits and she would make sure it was updated and that she would call me back. I missed her return call so I called again on 10/18/21.
On 10/18/21 I asked for and spoke with a supervisor Josetta. Josetta said there were numerous issues with my account and asked to review the notes. After reviewing the case notes, she advised that the back office team did not update my account properly and she would reach out to the management team.
On 10/20/21 I called again and spoke with Rob. He promised to give Josetta my number. When she called back, she still did not have an answer and promised a call back.
Since I did not get a call back from Josetta, I called again on 10/25/21. I spoke with Kay who advised that the situation was resolved and provided the amount of my benefit payments.
Honestly, I must have spent at least 8 hours trying to resolve a seemingly simple issue. If there would have been a 0 rating, I would have chosen 0. Horrible follow up, poor communication and terrible customer service. They really need to evaluate their service and make some changes.
This company sucks, it takes FOREVER for claims to process not to mention they stole $750 dollars from me 3 years ago when I mistakenly signed up for the wrong spending account then noticed it and tried to remedy it within a few months, they and my employer kept saying it's set in stone and continued taking money out of my check that I'd never be able to be reimbursed for since I don't use glasses or have dental needs that exceeded my coverage and then the company just took it at the end of the year. I hate them they take so long to process claims and customer service is a joke. I have no idea why my employer uses them as a company
From an agency stand point they are horrible to have deal with. I spent over an hour on the phone between being placed on hold and talking to a rep only to be told they can't answer my question and will need to submit a ticket which can take 3-4 business days to receive a response. Businesses should be aware using them for their payroll and garnishment services. They fail to set up garnishments that can cause the employer to become liable for their employees debt.
At first I thought they were incompetent just like everyone else says. But the more it went on, and the more I see they do it to everyone else, I'm convinced that this company is a front for scammers that nickel and dime their victims to death through seemingly legitimate charges that they knowingly misuse and setup savings accounts they never intend to give you access to. Maybe for some of their customers somewhere in some universe they do legit business to appear legit, but I've never met a satisfied customer so I have no idea how they've made it this far if they aren't rolling in scammer bling.
Have been trying since March to get my deceased mother's 401K account released. Have been asked to send the same documentation numerous times -even after being told they have everything they need. As I write this I'm on hold waiting for a supervisor. It's been 23 minutes. If you can avoid dealing with them I would. I'd give them MINUS 10 stars if possible.
My company unfortunately switched to Alight from Fidelity. Even since then it is been nothing but problems. They take a very long time to resolve any issues (if any).
- Poor quality control. There is a QDRO on my account and they changed my mailing address to that of my ex-spouse 'by mistake'. Not to mention the fact that they withdrew thousands of dollars more than my ex-spouse is entitled to.
- Trading fees. None of the large custodians charge trading fees.
- Their website has zero usability. No realized gain/loss information.
- The login form is a joke and incompatible with LastPass
Enough is enough. I'm looking into a potential lawsuit. This is borderline criminal.
My savings account has disappeared - "technical issues" and "gap in information" from my last accessing my savings account 11/9/2019. The gap has disappeared my account. Who else had their account "gap"? This a security violation or just plain theft that has happened to others - what is published on immediate search is 2016 in California, a recent filing about 245k from Abbott Labs individual's account. With enough publicity, it can be a class action law suit. Who else had this happen to them?
Company was hired to perform audits to prove you are not illegally using health insurance. Essentially, you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent. They must be paid bonuses for denying audit and health insurance coverages with no recourse for mistakes or errors. Please hire this company to provide your employees with undue stress and fear created by Alight Solutions.
Really poor service over all no one knows how anything works. Every time you call in you get a different answer. Processes seem intentionally difficult for no reason.
My husband is providing insurance for my son and myself and due to lack of communication between agents or just lack of knowledge we're going to lose coverage. One person says it's all good then we get a letter that it's not. Proof of marriage with the state seal and they continue to say it's not proof of marriage how do you say it's not proof when it has the seal. This has been the worse experience they are no help and don't seem to care horrible company to use for verification and I don't understand how a company continues to use them if you care about your employees and their families at all. Every time I ask for a manager or higher up they seem to not have anyone available
Answer: It's a legimate scam company. It has offices and many employees, but fails on adminsitering benefits, wrongdfully denies claims,. And has no effective customer service. Whatever little they are paid by the company that hires them is a ripoff.
Answer: They are often imposible to reach in a sense because the computer system has limited topics, none related to Alight screw-ups, and if you pick the least immaterial choice, the rep you reaches is not emplowred to solve problems, only to report them to the indifferent Alight higher-ups in the U.S.
Answer: They weer picked by the company from which I retired - has to be bacasue they work cheap - but are not worth what they charge. Who hires a BBB D- rated company?
