I never received my item after sending numerous email. They never refunded me and finally just stopped responding to me altogether.
There are a few manufacturers on aliexpress.com that are legit however, that is not the problem. Overall I have had many good transactions. The problem is that the website does not give you the direct contact info of the company, only an email address which is run through the store on their website. If companies screw you over, they can just close their store and reopen a different one! No refund, no bad reviews. There is nothing you can do except kiss the money you spent goodbye.
If you want to order a shirt or two, chances are you won't be screwed. BUT DON"T ever order wholesale---either the companies will screw up the order somehow (because communication is definitely a barrier) or they will just not deliver it at all. And because they already have the money in their hands, the last thing that they will do is refund you!
And the most f*cked up thing about it is that you can't even contact aliexpress.com because there is not customer service or hotline that you can call to help. It is all automated answers. Perfect.
Can't say I completely agree with the other reviews here. The only issue I had was that once I placed an order for a product, it took a few days for them to advise that it wasn't actually in stock. However, they offered me to choose an alternative which I did (about 4.25 inches), and it arrived within 2 weeks, and the product is of very good quality. And it isn't all made of plastic, either!
Perhaps I just got lucky, lol

They sell fake articles. I bought shoes and compared them with the ones I already have, they differ in at least 2 cm. I sent an e-mail to complain about size, stains and damage to the articles and they answered:

I have purchased from AliExpress.com numerous times over the past 2 years. I purchase personal items (handbags, jewelry, clothing). I've received products with great quality such as genuine leather handbags $60 ish versus $200@ Macy's and again, cheap quality such as little necklaces & bracelets for $1 or so. Like anywhere, you get what you pay for. I my case, I've had fantastic luck. The jewely in particular is awesome if you're looking for gold plated fashion jewelry. Way, way cheaper than Khols or Macy's, but really nice. The only disappointments I've had was ordering something and then the seller not having my size and/or color. This has happened 3 or 4 times. I've been promptly refunded EVERY SINGLE TIME. Not sure why so many people are negative on this site. Take a look of how the site / business was created and how it's evolved over the years. It's a regular Joe success story. Like any other "market place" type business, there are some honest and hard working sellers and there are a few that show no customer service skills. At the end of the day, I highly recomend AliExpress.com. I've had fun shopping there (another point, it takes a bit of getting used to how to effectively search this site) Good luck.
Beware, beware, beware. Item was sent back to them 4 months ago. I have been asking for a refund daily. They just now changed my account status to "finished". Before it was "pending".
Scam! The took money from my paypal, and claim that UPS returned the package however I gave them the correct address. They used this excuse to buy more time. They give you the run-around by phone and email. And just like another reviewer said, they claim to only handle returns by email, however they never respond through email. Do not order, this is a scam company!
First of all you are dealing directly with China, so anything is possible. Keep in mind that aliexpress is not one single store, it is the eBay of China so you are dealing with individual sellers and each one may bring a different buying experience. I strongly suggest contacting the seller of the item you are wanting and also check their reviews. That said, BE PATIENT. If the seller sends it out, it will sit and sit and sit at customs or somewhere for A LONG TIME. But like most people, you will eventually recieve your goods, just add a month or more on top of what the expected delivery time is they give you. I bought some boots and socks from a seller who had very good marks, I had messaged her and she had replied back and forth so I knew she was legitimate and even though the tracking code she gave me didnt work until right before my items were delivered 2 MONTHS LATER, I did get them and it was like 80% off what I would have paid at the retail store.
Hope that helps, I will definitely not be in a hurry to buy anything from them again anytime soon just due to the long delivery time but you cant beat the savings if your patient and do your due diligence.!
No customer service
I dispute a transaction in aliexpress and aliexpress says in dispute details it is escalated and "We will contact you at the complaint center within 2 calendar days". Past morethan 1 week and thay didnt contact me. I really dont recommend aliexpress. Recommend ebay.
BEWARE OF POSSIBLE IDENTITY THIEFT
I have made several very successful orders through Aliexpress, but then after placing an order I received a cancellation notice from AliExpress stating canceled for security reasons but not stating the actual reason. They stated I could correct this problem by sending them by computer a copy of my credit card statement, my I.D. card, my credit card and my passport. Wanting the item I foolishly sent them a copy of my latest credit card statement. They then demanded all the requested documents and I came to my senses and refused. They or an AliExpress employee could easily have stolen my identity.

I ordered some stuff but received something else and that too after 3 months, this website is totally scam and all the people linked to that web site just want to cut your pockets thats it, and now when i asked for the refund, they are not even replying... please please dont buy anything from them. I am writing to caution potential buyers from both aliexpress and seller Ke Ke's store. I asked like 20 questions before ordering the seller was very responsive up untill i recieved the order (hats) they where counterfeit all hats wrong in size they didnt measure even hats with the same size are not the same. They quality is like a child did it. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
It's been 2 months and i still have not recieved a refund it states dispute in progress. But come on i provided emails pictures even a video and still they need time with all the evidence on the table? This website is a complete mess and a scam 100% Use caution. I have lost 100 dollars i am trying to go thru VISA however i have been out 100 bucks for 2 months and have nothing to show for it.
They have no customer support they have an automated agent that is useless.

Nice site with wholesale products and at a great price. It depends on the seller and have to check the sellers ratings before you buy anything.The ratings should be more than 97 percent. The product does takes longer to reach here as it comes from China I placed the first order and it came as described and my second one is on the way. The site is a good one beware of some sellers who does not have good feedback and ratings. I will be placing more orders.

Ordered a gown that was supposed to have long sleeves to cover a burnt arm. They were to make it according to the pcture that had long sleeves but when it arrived the sleeves were up to my elbows. They kept me in a chat for about an hour and gave me every excuse in the book for not refunding my order. I coped all of the conversations I had with them. I was asked if a tailor here could fix it, told they had to pay for the material and would not be able to pay their workers and even that maybe my arm was too fat? I am a beanpole! Then I kept getting sad faces, crying faces and so on. How did they get a gold medallion rating? I finially told them I would singlr handedly try to ruin there company, so this will be posted everywhere for a very long time!
I bought a meat grinder from "The wind crafts Co" in China. I knew the rating for this site is pretty low so I just tried petty cash product costing $10.00 to test the water.
As I expected, the product arrived late and broke for the first time in use. The plastic parts were made out of cheap material and brittle. The first time when I turned the handle, it broke the hole that the handle goes in. IT IS WASTE OF MONEY and TIME.
They did not care about the feedback because they renew the product posting and old feedback is no longer posted for new potential buyers.

Sellers asking for your your PayPal account to make a refund when they are suppose tp use Alipay. Clean up dishonest sellers like co-co fashion store. I have ordered tother items thru Aliexpress without a problem but you should get rid of the bad ones. I am reluctant to use Aliexpress again after this bad experience.
