AliExpress Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to pervasive issues with order fulfillment, delayed deliveries, and inadequate customer service. Many customers report difficulties in receiving refunds and resolving disputes, often feeling ignored or misled by the company's support channels. Positive aspects, such as product variety and competitive pricing, are overshadowed by complaints regarding fraudulent sellers and the lack of buyer protection. This trend indicates a pressing need for the company to enhance its customer service protocols and ensure accountability among its sellers to rebuild trust with consumers.

I was nervous because there are so many bad ratings, but the store I ordered from had good feedback so I went ahead and ordered. The product was just what I expected and I got it within about 10 days of ordering. I was very pleased with the transaction. Make sure to look at the ratings of the store you are ordering from.

I ordered a Christmas present a week before Christmas and they told me 10 days of processing time plus 7 days shipping time which is bad enough. Then the day AFTER Christmas they tell me the order is sold out. Frustrated, I tried to cancel the order and you have to give a reason for the cancellation. I kid you not if you select "Buyer Ordered Wrong Product" or "Duplicate Order" they claim you will receive your refund in one day. If you select "Not in Stock" or any other reason which would negatively credit the website instead of the buyer they state you will receive your refund in one month. As proof here is the message they sent me (please excuse the bad English it's a Chinese website and was straight copy and pasted):

"if you dnot like to change or wait more days, please cancel the order, only buyer can cancel it.
The cancel reason please choose "buyer Ordered Wrong Product," or "make Duplicate Order". Then payment will refund to you quickly in one day. And please give us postive feedback.

Please dnot choose other reasons, dnot choose" seller not sale or not instock so on". Because these reasons refund will be more strick and take one month.

www.aliexpress.com/store/******* welcome to order here.

Thank you so much."

This should be illegal.

I purchased 8 small items, I think the most expensive one I bought was a car cam, which was about $50 and it wasn't working properly, I contacted Ali and opened a dispute, they asked me for proof, so I sent pictures of the broken screen (it had lines going across and would freeze upon startup) They requested a video, so I uploaded a video, after all that trouble I havent seen or heard anything about a refund. The seller wants the cam back and it's going to cost me about $50 to send it back to China. I also ordered some clothes and never again! They look good on pictures but when they arrive, the quality is poor, one coat I ordered for a toddler had holes in it and the pockets were two different sizes! (They were supposed to be same size) When I asked for my money back or partial refund, I got 1/4 of the cost, yet I can't let me child wear this coat outside. Honestly I don't think i will ever buy anything on Ali again, I gave it a try and it didn't work out, I would rather pay a little bit more in store here, but at least I can see the product and know exactly what I am buying.

Nothing wrong if you have your smarts. Remember they are merely a merchant platform so communication and disputes may be tiresome. I've been buying for around 3 years and very few problems, only 1 minor one, the other 2 i got full refunds. Make sure the seller has a good rating and a lot of transactions (even if they are a little more expensive than another dodgy outlet selling the exact same thing, they could be spoofing). I'd use them for small transactions, no more than $200, just in case, but even then there are great bargains to be had. Sometimes they will advertise a product's specs that aren't 100% accurate or true, so do some research and ask specific questions about the product before purchasing - no doubt you get a "YES NO PROBLEM" response, now that may not be true, but if you have done that and raise a dispute later, it puts you in a much better position for a refund. Like anything on the internet (or life), just know what you are doing and be smart about life. No one's out there looking after you, do that yourself, dont blame AliExpress, my home is full of cool gadgets and toys thanks to their super cheap prices and funky items.

I used Aliexpress rather actively in 2013. Most of the cases were successful, and my purchases were good value for money. But one exception forced me to write this revue.
Please STAY AWAY from the Store No.:******* - Shenzhen Ever Good Electronic Co., Ltd. China (Mainland) (Guangdong).
I purchased New 13.3 inch Laptop for USD230,45. I must state - those money were thrown in water. In 10 days of use the AC adaptor went out of order, and the Seller very reluctantly, after a number of my messages via Aliexpress Message Center, offered me to send a new Adaptor for the price = 12% of the whole unit. I bought a new adaptor in a local store for 1/3 of that, and went on with the PC. The rest of my experience was also bad. The laptop is not working stable and is very primitive - the brightness of the monitor and the touchpad features can not be adjusted, internal microphone is not working, Fn- key features are indicated on the buttons, but most of them are not working. I wasted a lot of time trying to find any proper software in the Internet in order to revitalize the Laptop - no result. I even asked a friend of mine, an IT-specialist with high Microsoft rating, to help me. The verdict was - bad hardware.
So, STAY AWAY from that Seller.
It's a great pity that Seller like this is definitely spoiling the image of Aliexpress.

0 star or Less is my take on this website. 3 transactions made just to try it out. 3 negative experiences.
1) 2 units 512GB flash drives turned out to 8.5GB each.
2) Lot of 3 pcs. Touch-Screen Android cell phone at $48. Xx Seller refused to honour transaction. Same item re-listed at 98.99/pc.one day later, then re-listed again at 198.99/pc. A few days later, today re-listed at $848/pc.
3) Another Android 3.2" Touch-Sceen Mobile Phone at $18.99/pc. Not shipped out after 28 days.

No way to contact AliExpress. Cannot hold a candle to eBay. Blocked from opening a Dispute Case on the third transaction. No Resolution Center to help buyers. System is set to disable photo attachments. You deal with a stupid virtual agent who does nothing but gives you a runaround. To date, no refund issued on transactions 2 and 3. No wonder Paypal opted out. This site is filled with fraudulent sellers trying to make a quick buck with AliExpress' as a criminal accomplice. What they ought to do is to "man-up" and go rob a bank instead. Shame and blemish and a total disgrace to the Chinese. Definitely DONE with them and will be closing my account after getting my refunds. In the event that I don't, I shall proceed to lodge reports against them to Internet Crime Center.

I have used it for about half a year. You do indeed have to be careful of scammers. However, I have made ~30 orders, only 1 of which gave me a negative experience. I think the 2 star is not fair.

You just have to be aware of one thing. Almost EVERY >8Gb microSD card you see on aliexpress is fake. Run h2testw on it will reveal only 4Gb or 8Gb. Search "fake microsd card" on google and find that it is a HUGE problem.

Also, Aliexpress has a fairly crappy feedback system such that it doesn't mean anything if the item has a good rating. People can't revise their rating to negative, and most people just leave 5 star when they receive the goods. Only a few people actually spend the time to review after they used the goods for a while. You just have to be careful and go through a few pages of feedbacks before deciding.

Ordered almost $900 US worth of electronic components. Our credit card was charged. NO product arrived. NO return emails from supplier. NO way to actually contact aliexpress. I would recommend running, not walking, away from this site. We had made a couple smaller purchases and just experienced a longer than anticipated arrival time. No big deal. But Aliexpress in our recent experience is useless and I don't want to see anyone else go through this.

I have ordered display for my Lenovo p780 smartphone from china. Paid by credit cad. Waited more than 2 months.
I have not received it. Seller promised to send me refund through paypal. I`m waiting 9 days already.
I can`t renew dispute on the aliexpress system. There is no option. Also system automatically confirmed my acceptance with seller offer to extend delivery.
So, this site is non-reliable, has a lot of fraudulent sellers, and maybe is created by them.
NEVER BUY AT ALIEXPRESS! Choose ebay or amazon.

Most of the products have come as advertised. The problem is with aliexpress itself. You CANNOT get help with an order. You cannot ever reach a live person. The email function for the site is unclickable. If a seller feels like not honoring your dispute, you have zero recourse through aliexpress. I have done a TON of business but am done. I paid $30 for cabochons in a really unique range of colors and they showed up the same 'ol cheap beads. Couldn't get my money back unless I spend a small fortune (more than I paid for the flowers) to send them back. You are 100% at the seller's mercy and for that, beware.

I bought an item from aliexpress and never received the item, They are claiming that i never paid for the item, but my order details clearly show that the order went through and moneys was deducted from my card. These people are really unbelievable!, This site is not to be trusted, they don't even use Paypal as a safe means of money transfer when you are purchasing items from the supplier. My advice to web shoppers is to stay far away from aliexpress.
