Alibris enjoys a generally positive reputation among customers, particularly for its wide selection of used books at competitive prices and reliable shipping. Many customers appreciate the timely delivery and the ability to track orders, contributing to overall satisfaction. However, concerns arise regarding the variability in book conditions, with some items not meeting expectations, and delays in shipping for urgent needs. Additionally, the separate shipping fees for each book can deter purchases. Despite these issues, the platform remains a favored choice for many due to its extensive inventory and user-friendly website.

A little hard trying to sign in to make a purchase, always repeating are you a robot fat too often. However security is appreciated.
I tried to buy this book from three other sellers, it was such a hassle that I gave up. Your web cite was the cheapest, the easiest and the best. Thank you
Great place to shop! They had everything I was looking for at such reasonable prices, I will be buying my books here. I would recommend them. JS
I have been a customer of Alibris for several decades because pricing is competitive, listings are nearly comprehensive, shipping is generally quick.
Alibris is a comprehensive site with a very good search engine. I always find what I'm looking for.
Great to find my book. Took 3 weeks to arrive. I emailed twice about it and there was no reply. It made me worry that it was a scam.
I am trying to wean from other big on-line companies that sell books at discounted, competitive prices. I found Alibris and I will usually comparison shop with other on-line small booksellers. I am finding that Alibris offers the best variety of options, is easy to navigate, and has extremely good prices, very often cheaper than that "big guy"
Books I order are always in good condition. Since I live in the southern hemisphere, my purchases take a little longer to arrive than if I was a local purchaser.
Have been buying books from Alibris for many years and have always been satisfied with my purchases. Rarely have issues and when I do they are resolved to my satisfaction. My only issue that perhaps actual postage which is quoted could be more accurate. I presume it is a standard figure. However, the cost of each item iI purchase is accurately given in Australian dollars.
There have been access problems, but it seems to be a general situation. Nothing that Alibris can probably do about it. I appreciate the many years I have been a customer.
My book was expected to be delivered on Nov. 20. I live in Olathe, Kansas, which is a suburb of Kansas City. From Nov. 17 to Nov. 20, my book sat in a Kansas City Processing Center. On Nov. 21, I checked the status and my book was now in North Charleston, South Carolina, This is what happens when you use both DHL and the Post Office--two highly incompetent organizations. It really doesn't tax the imagination to know how the Post Office is losing billions of dollars every year. I finally got my book almost a week late.
I find Alibris a great place to find those books that would have been hard to find, locate, or even publish. It is probably the best place to find books online. It would be even nicer if Alibris had a physical store.
Easy checkout, found the item I was looking for and at an affordable price
Shopping with Alibris is always a good experience. What I'm not crazy about is paying $4-$5 shipping costs per book. That has stopped me from buying sometimes because by the time I add shipping costs, I can get the book brand new from Amazon for about the same cost.
But this experience was as good as it's ever been with Alibris. In fact I've never had a problem with them and highly recommend them to friends.
Why haven't I received any response about a missing book (Pictures of Perfection - Reginald Hill, order *******) Tracking says it was delivered, but it was NOT. I sent an inquiry on 11/22 to *******@alibris.com
I ordered a book Nov. 7th for use in December. It got here in about a week and a half. I ordered it from Maryland but it came from Illinois. Very strange, but it did arrive in good shape.
You didn't tell me how it would be shipped. I hope US mail because the other options no longer deliver to post office boxes.
Good prices, but it would be better if there were a way to match booksellers ans books so that I only had to pay shipping from one location.
I can always find what I'm after and generally get the best price around.
I found what I wanted right away. The checkout process was fairly painless. It ejected my credit card information for some reason, but the second attempt went fine.
Well-designed website - easy to navigate. Condition of used items extremely good. Shipments are sluggish, but hey, we're not dealing with Amazon's network here and hopefully supporting small businesses.
I ordered a mass market paperback that supposedly was in "good" condition. Instead, I received a tattered, discolored book that had the covers attached with TAPE. I blame myself because the book was far too cheap, only $. 99. But I still paid $5 in shipping costs. I would have much preferred to spend a few dollars more and get a book that wasn't ready for the trash heap. BTW the pages are falling out as I attempt to read it! I complained to the seller but never heard a word in return.
Bit of a hassle entering address. Two were listed, only difference was some punctuation. Took several tries to straighten it out.
Great prices, easy to search and order. Check out super easy. Historically I have found the order comes pretty quick. Highly recommend!
Very easy to find, research and order what I was looking for. Highly recommend.
The goodwill that had the book shipped it out almost instantly, but USPS took forever to handle it. Everything on alibris' side of things was good.
Answer: Let's just say, they advertise falsely. They misrepresent what they are selling. Buyer beware.
Answer: Hi Dennis, That depends on where the seller is located and where your deliver address is as well. Generally, shipments within the States are delivered within a week or so, though holiday shipping might slow down a bit. If you send us the details with your order number in an email to [email protected] we can look into the specifics for you. Thank you for writing. Michael B. Alibris Customer Service

Answer: HI Zoila, Delivery timeframes within the States are usually between 3 and 8 days, but it depends on where the seller is that is shipping the item to you. Answer: Really Michael, contact you directly? Why should we have to. There is a bad trend here. Seems MANY of us contact you and you DONT respond
Answer: I saw the fake stellar reviews and did not dig deeper. I til... I had an issue. Initially, I wanted to give a small seller some business after COVID and the site looked really good. What a big mistake that was! Shame on this outfit.
