I love that I can support local used book stores around the country. The books are always packed well and as described.
I like shopping with Alibris because I can buy used books in good condition at a low cost. They are also shipped more carefully than Amazon books. I can also get books that are out of print. I appreciate their pricing tool that can help me get the lowest total price. My only complaint is that when I check my credit card statement, PayPal purchases have a very cryptic name, so I have to dig through my emails to verify the purchase was legit.

I had been looking for a specific book on a photographer from the last century. Most were prohibitively expensive, or located in Europe with steep shipping charges. I was able to locate one on Alibri, and was thrilled even more to see it was on sale! I looked at the website to be sure the site was reputable, as not all are, and felt comfortable doing business through Alibri. The book arrived in better condition than expected and was wrapped carefully to avoid damage. I am so happy to have found Alibri, they keep me updated on sales and offers, and they are now my "go-to" online bookstore!

Simple, efficient. Price was great and they had it is stock which isn't very common for this title.
I experience multiple occurrences of these problems with Alibris:
1) Purchases that go through but are canceled because the item was already sold.
2) Items that come up as one thing on the search and another thing in the cart.
3) Card not recognized, purchase times out, website not responding.
I like Alibris overall and hope you can work on these problems.
- The server timed out twice--once while I was browsing and again when I tried to view my cart.
- I wish the wishlist were better integrated into the cart, so that I didn't have to click back and forth between the two.
Alibris always has what I need, at fair prices, and shipping has always been fast! I feel better using Alibris than buying from Amazon and am grateful I can find used books! Thanks Alibris!
I ordered Zen and the Birds of appetite.
There is a famous Zen artwork on the cover, which was partially obscured by a large sticker wrapping the spine, and a large barcode sticker on the front. I tried to peel it off to see the whole cover, which didn't work.
Could you kindly put stickers on the back of books?

As a former librarian and long-time book collector, I appreciate full and accurate descriptions of "wanted" books. Booksellers offering items via Alibris do, on a whole, offer the kind of description I appreciate. I also "skip" those not telling me all I want to know.
