While my order is an international transfer, the parcel didn't leave the origin country (US) for quite a while (4 weeks). The tracking info is also incorrect; it showed my parcel had departed from my destination country's airport.

Found book. Ordering was quick. I didn't have to mess with Passwords that are never right, and I could pay via Pay Pal, so no worries with my credit car on this first time order at this company.

I picked out a book for a Christmas present and was informed that it qualified for free shipping if I added more items with the "free ship" icon. But no matter which items I added, shipping remained in my cart. I contacted Alibris, but they were no help. They gave me answers like, "You have nothing in your cart" (I had 2 books), "You have to pick books with the "free ship" icon" (I did), "Shipping will disappear when you begin checkout" (It didn't). I don't think they even looked at the screen shots I sent. I finally figured out (without any help from Alibris) that the free shipping didn't work if you chose PayPal. I did order the books without using PayPal, and they came, and I am satisfied with them. But the checkout process was the worst, and the Alibris team was useless. Interestingly, once I posted an online review, as requested by the email I received, Alibris suddenly contacted me, admitted the problem existed with their cart, and gave me an incredibly convoluted method whereby free shipping would work with PayPal. So if you want to get any satisfaction from Alibris, I guess you need to post an unfavorable review online. I won't say I'll never order from them again, but they're now at the bottom of my list of booksellers instead of the top.

Much prefer guest checkout. I'm sick of passwords & individual accounts. Just trying to buy something, don't want to join a club

I selected a new book for $7.09 and added it to my cart. After I logged into my account, however, it told me there was an error and my cart was empty. When I went back to re-select the book, the lowest cost was now over $11. That feels suspicious — where did the $7 book go?

I ordered 5 CD's from the same place and was told there would be shipping discounts from this seller for 2 or more items. THERE WAS NOT. I got charged the full shipping amount.

Every step of the process was easy, from finding a copy of the book I was looking for, the purchase, communication was great, and It arrived quicker than expected. The book was in better condition than I expected at a price that was more than fair.
