I didn't like the fact that when entering a password for a new account that you didn't have a provision to see the password and the requirement for re-entry. In other words, you couldn't see exactly what you were entering in your form.
Alibris had a good price for the book I bought, but the way it was packaged led to it being damaged by the time it got to me. The return process isn't as easy as Amazon's, so that's less-than-ideal. The customer service agents I wrote to don't seem to have current information either - what they described about refunds, return authorizations, coupons to compensate for return shipping, etc. didn't match up with my experience. Nevertheless, I got a refund and ordered a replacement book, so hopefully the next one gets here in better shape.

I received my order before the expected delivery date. Product delivered arrived in good condition. Read the book, it was a good book.

Always a risk with used sellers describing the item improperly. Item arrived in fair condition at best. Lots of writing and highlighting. A bit beat up. Still readable. Not a huge issue but descriptions should be reasonably accurate.

The book I was interested in is out of print, copyright 1884. And Alibris found it. Furthermore, it was an excellent copy, and under $10! So you can see why the first place I look is always Alibris.
My experience with Alibris are they stand behind purchases. Also, we appreciate the small discount given for Library purchases.
Shipping is too high most of the time. We will make purchases for no shipping fee, for as, if we need to return we don't get reimbursed for shipping.
