Ordered a book to a previous address by mistake. I tried contacting the seller and the company it was sent through shipping but no one seemed to be able to make any attempt to stop the shipment or redirect to my current address. It made it to my old address several states away and now as far as I can tell, the current resident at my previous address is reading the book I ordered, because I have seen it be returned.
I ordered this book with expedited shipping because I needed it quickly. After 3 days my order was canceled and I needed to reorder. I am now under pressure with time constraints.

I can find books in at least very good condition here that I can't find on Thriftbooks, but the catch is, shipping is a lot more on Alibris. Thriftbooks ships from different sellers and states also, but shipping is free with $15 orders there regardless. Oh well I'm happy with Alibris as an alternative for used books that I can't find in quality I want on TB.
There are quirks in the ordering process. Irritating in the extreme for a 88 yr old senior. Followups waste my Tim,e and add to my irritation. Undignified. Follow ups are essentially fraudulent.Coverups.
At 88 I am a fussy, no nonsense, intolerant of stupidity senior customer. Surely there must be a way of making shopping on line from Alibris a bit more senior friendly, a bit more trouble sand frustration free--without being less secure.
