I was new to Alibaba, ordered 3 times, the first time I purchased from a company called Teamtai Bags Co... Joe Fu was the guys name. I paid him a deposit and kept emailing him to check in on my bags. He kept giving me excuses. I then did an internet search on his company and there were similar complaints. Next, I ordered a fire starter, they came and the quality was good no problems. Third time, I ordered an enamel coffee mug and the girl told me I would get it in 4 weeks. 3 months later I got the mugs and the quality was horrible! They looked totally different than what was sent originally.

The vendors on Alibaba lie, they present a sample that is great quality and then you receive the order and the products are totally different, they lie and tell you a timeframe and you end up getting the products months afterwards. My experience so far isn't great. I am going to try to find American companies to buy from since I don't trust Alibaba vendors. THEY ALL LIE and misrepresent their products.

Came up with a design and sent it to a 1 yr. Gold Star rated company with Alibaba. They accepted the design and asked for $2600. This was sent and they started the making. All went well until we had the sample created any they requested another $2k for the samples. We had an invoice and an agreement signed by them, stating they would only make and manufacture for us. This of course, can't be enforced and they know it. We took our chances. Well we now see our design (not tested) being sold by this company on Alibaba.com. This company is a platform to take and manufacture for their own profit.

Just bought engraver, paid through escrow. Paid duty&vat. Received machine, not working, damaged pressure dial, handpiece got pliers marks. Looks like second hand. Seller didi`nt accept it, open dispute, useless.So, spend $ 493 +£56.It looks alibaba works only for sellers.

This site is really fake. Its not like aliexpress or ebay, amazon that you can get the money back if you havent recieve the items. But alibaba once you paid for the item trust me none of the items will come. I know this because i did this mistake the same thing. I have paid for iphone 4s and mac book laptop its been 3 month since i have paid. I have tried to contact them i even called their company no one is picking up. I have found their skype i have added them in contact they accept me but once i have mention im still waiting for my items they blocked me. Trust me people dont do the same mistake like i did. IF YOU PLAN TO BUY ANY ELECTRICAL ITEMS LIKE PHONE, LAPTOP FROM ALIBABA WATCH OUT FOR ABBY HU. I wish i could give 0 stars

No stars. I ordered $300 worth of dresses and clothing. They were completely cheap versions of the pictures. I returned the items and one package was a wrong address. The address on the package was a fake one. No way to return it. I've tried everything to get a simple address. I just don't want it. Its very very frustrating. My other package was lost. They are aweful.don't ever shop alibaba.!

Anyone buying from Alibaba please insist on paying by credit card or PayPal. Do not send a money order - they are thieves. The Gold Supplier Status means nothing! This status is supposed to be earned every year, in fact it is bought from Alibaba. The company who scammed me, Echo Yang from Gangzhou Mega Beauty bought a Gold Supplier Status every month. When I they responded to my request, they had 2 Gold Supplier Status within 2-3 months that went up to 6 Gold Supplier Status. Approach DHGate. They are fabulous. They don't release payment (by credit card or PayPal) until you receive, check and accept the goods. They also keep you informed and give you tracking numbers. Please don't be conned by Alibaba. Google the company name and check for negative feedback. Good Luck

Buyer Be Ware
I have purchased from 3 different suppliers and they are all similar.

Cheap Products, poorly packaged merchandise (damaged) and the Shipping vendors are useless. My products have arrived damaged and 2 weeks late on average.

It doesn't matter if they are gold or not. Do not believe what they say as the product will not survive any form of use.

Like many other reicei era my first order to as my last. They sent the parcel to the wrong address. When I informed the shipper I was basically told that I had made the mistake, so I was on my own. I have a hard time believing I made the address mistake, I was so paranoid about ordering from China I was extremely careful when placing my order. I never received my product or a refund, their "delivery guarantee" has more he's than Swiss cheese. DONT BUY FROM ALIBABA.

I ordered a clock spring for my lexus lx-470 off ali express and it took 45 days to arrive. When i got it, it was a used part (advertised as new) and after being installed, it didn't work

Have you Noticed that if your a scam company from China there is no verification needed or done? If your an American Company you sign up then you account gets suspended for unknown reasons. They won't tell you but if you pay and send your company info to them that alone makes us vulnerable to china thieves using our info. I have sent my info already once before and found a company there in China trying to use it, But then Alibaba info center tells you that they don't share info, OH REALLY? If your prices are better than chinese companies they will file a complaint but when you purchase items the prices are outrageously high, when you file a complaint nothing ever happens to them AMAZING! IF any one doesn't understand that all chinese are scammers then you will soon learn if you try to use any of their sites This is where our own Government ruined our economy with this Free trade act.

You can use Alibaba as a research platform. Contact suppliers and establish communication with different suppliers. But I don't advice you to order big quantities. You might not get the products at all or you'll get products of very poor quality. Getting your money back is impossible. The best way to use Alibaba is to find your suppliers of interest, then travel to China, meet face to face and find a local quality controller. We always deposit 20% to start a production and once the controller has inspected the order, we'll pay the rest. We have never experienced not getting our products, but Chinese trade mentality is different from the west. They hussle and do anything to make one more dollar for their effort. They will show you great samples, and your first couple of orders will be ok. Once you grow and your orders will become bigger, they'll start to sneak in bad quality products. Having a controller and an established face to face contact is best if you like to trade with China. That is our experience.

What an absolute piece-of-dog-$#*! company Alibaba has such an endemically corrupt, incompetent internal culture it must obviously flow from the top, from the owner down. Does not give a flying f*** about truth, customer relations, accuracy, service anything. This lot should all be locked up and the key thrown away. I was about to spend A$600k on big ticket Chinese products but fortunately after dealing with this mob now know to never ever deal with a Chinese Company again. (Please take note Hong Kong Govt.) They have mercilessly plagued me with garbage/spam I never requested, and never once provided what I originally asked for. When I have complained they have ignored me and then sent me more of the same, when I have tried too unsubscribe (6 times), same story, wherever they provide a link to unsubscribe, good luck, and don't forget to set aside six months doing nothing else. The site is one of those which has been deliberately designed to make unsubscribing impossible; AND hopefully to send you insane for trying; AND just elicit more information about you! Do NOT give them your email address, they are total unmitigated a-holes. Who would have believed that you could make a fortune selling nothing more then misinformation, incompetency, stupidity and bull dust.

Have only placed 1 order with a merchant on Alibaba for some luggage. The tracking number they provided after 3 weeks is now 7 days old and the package has never been scanned in. Filed a dispute, and waiting for a refund. SCAM site.

Alibaba.com. Hmmmm... when the IPO launched they had expectations of breaking even. They now are in Profit!... Subscribers are a proof that there is basically GOOD in people!
Those that have Security Issues with Alibaba.com for no reason are in LIMBO. Ask that the Board of Directors GO To TEMPLE and Pray. As this kind of Stain to your Site is starting to Show in places that soon will affect and continue to cause remorse on the part of Profit*... you do not want that. Your Technical Assistance needs to be Completely revamped as there is no solution or the requirements are too thick as with many People from All over the WORLD do not even know with some of the Certifications are. They still think that Alibaba.com is a nice place to come to to be able to Advertise and that is what you WANT... not filled with restrictions and requirements that cause People to COMPLAIN.

DO NOT USE ALIBABA... Not even going to give them a star... shame you cant have minus stars. I bought from a company they said was reliable ACD Supplies... turns out to be a nigerian address after i traced their IP address from their e-mail to me( which i wish i had done before i had paid them). Paid money and that was the last i saw of it... they then even asked if i could send more as the price had gone up. Thanks Alibaba.NOT!. There are much better and trustworthy wholesale sites to use.Use them instead ( not Dhgate though).

Please DO NOT SHOP HERE. The "Protection Plan" is BS they side with the company. I ordered from Good Goods store my wedding shoes which should of been real leather. The delivery time took forever, when I finally got it, they sent me a size 7 not 8.5 like I asked. The seller "Jason" had the nerve to say it needs to stretch to try using it. After a rip off $110.00 the dispute lasted 2 more months and of course the company sided with them. They also "Guaranteed" satisfaction, The shoe was the cheapest thing I have ever seen, also it looked used. Maybe I would of payed $10. After all I only got $20.00 back... What a rip off... I guess I have to go elsewhere for wedding stuff. "

Advice to American companies: Do not do business on Alibaba.com they are bias and Chinese propaganda website. They are hateful against American business growing globally. If you quotes are cheaper than their Chinese companies they will put a hold on your quote until the buyer buys from Chinese company.

I've used this site for my small business purchase from manufacturer in China
Sent money thru Western Union, got the product in 7 days which surprised me,
Did'nt expect it that fast, I'm very pleased with the products quality and superb price
And courteous staff at the company Did have little problem with the second order
The Western Union in China did not recognized the name of the receiver and refused to pay
The manufacturer, But we resolved the problem with employe at the Western Union
Here in US and after that i got my product promptly again Thank you, very happy :)
