I recently made to purchases on Alibaba. Both companies stated they offered express air shipment. One company packed, shipped, and provided FedEx tracking immediately. The other company played a game, saying that my items went to an Alibaba warehouse, and that the warehouse would ship the item. I had to contact the company several times to get a tracking number. Then there was a hold-up where an "exception" occurred on my shipment of boxes. It has been over three weeks and I still do not have my products. Alibaba needs to to force companies to CLEARLY state if they fulfill the shipment directly via a shipper or if the items go to a third party warehouse for export. This is not very transparent.

In general, good services. I have just bought to a maximum of 5 sellers, but all of them great, easy to communicate, professional. However, one of them give my phone number to another customer in my country, not asking me permission to do that first. This is enough important to me, and make me rate 4 stars. Personnal data is secret, no one is allowed to share my info.

Alibaba has not done enough to protect my purchases. There are a lot of dishonest sellers who want to make a quick dollar, sometimes the product are bad and most they don't supply what was promised and when it was promised. When I complained, Alibaba has been siding with the sellers which only makes me more nervous about purchasing on the platform. They need to do more to screen out bad sellers and promoting the good ones.
