I gave it one star because I couldn't go any lower. I had to use this bull$#*! for two semesters of college chemistry as one as one semester of college algebra. It is the worst thing in the entire world. It marks thing wrong that are correct and is a complete waste of time and time consuming. It did not help my grade at all in classes, I practiced from the book and still got a an A so obviously $#*!ing aleks did not help. All it did was take all the joy out of my life, made me and alcoholic and contemplated suicide numerous times. I would rather have my gonads smashed with a ball pin hammer than have to do aleks ever again.

Aside from constantly having to YouTube Khan Academy, ask for help from my professor, friends and family and only get one lesson done per 2.5 hours, ALEKS truly does suck. It shortcuts explanations, leading you to a level of confusion and stress you've never been to. It gives you lessons on math that I can guarantee you'll never use in real life, like literally never! Oh and those "Knowledge Checks"? Yeah thanks for those, every few hours and then conveniently knocking me back 10-20 lessons on average. It would seem like ALEKS wants you to fail, my friends warned me about this program, apparently I should've listened. Can't believe I payed money for this thing.

Aleks is the worst $#*!ing program to do homework on. It doesn't teach you $#*! and even if you have the right answer sometimes you don't even get it right because the system is too $#*!ed up to read it right. The knowledge checks are a waste of a couple hours of your life. Each time you do a homework assignment it takes 5 $#*!ing hours because if you get one little thing wrong it butt $#*!s you back to the beginning. I would rather choke on my own $#*! than use this program. Whatever ALEKS employee is reading this, I hope you realize how suicidal your program has made students. Everyone who created this can suck a fat $#*!ing $#*!.

The only reason I chose one star is because I am pretending it is a throwing star that I can chuck at Aleks's nonexistent face. The only reason teachers would utilize this program is to torture their students. Stop being lazy and teach your students. You want a pay raise? TEACH YOUR STUDENTS! Aleks is really good at taking a simple topic and turning it into a horrendous nightmare. This is by far the worst learning experience I have ever had. This does NOT make me want to learn at all. Aleks only pisses me off and waists my $#*!ing time!

Personally, this would be a 5 star without the stupidity of how long knowledge checks are and the if the explanations actually explained the topic we were on. Sometimes I'm on a specific topic and I don't get it. In order to find out what the heck to do, I check the explanation. At this point, every now and then the explanation is totally off of the subject. These are the only bad things about the platform, but I would definitely recommend it for anyone who likes math or wants to improve.
