As a person with Dyscalculia this program kills me instead of helping me and it will never let me have the option to use the calculator and the explanations are not that helpful and at the most times confusing

It does not provide accurate information and a lot of the time the answers are considered wrong even though the explanation shows that answer as correct or the answers are completely wrong. My child has to put in random numbers every time to get the answers right which takes forever. As a engineer I clearly know 6th grade math, and yet I cannot answer a single question correctly. I would never recommend Aleks to anyone as it is not a valid source of information. This issue always happens even with other students that I tutor on thursday's
First of all, Aleks is math and I suck at math so... Second, the things they teach you are BIZZAR! My mom tried to help me and the second she looked at it... she goes "NOPE" and walked out of the room. THEY DON'T EVEN GIVE YOU GOOD EXPLAINATIONS. Third, knowledge checks?! DUDE! YOUR NOT EVEN GONNA NEED ALL THIS STUFF IN YOUR LIFE TIME! So, I state my case. ALEKS IS THE WORST! IT HAS EFFECTED ME AND MY FAMILY! I'm STUCK inside in till I finish 4 present a day! I'm always in a bad mood lately and that leads to all kinds of problems. Please take the time to read this and take my advice. You don't want your child hating you for choosing this program.
I hate Aleks really bad. It gave me ligma just like ninja did. Aleks does help SOMETIMES by telling you to keep a sign, etc. but it sucks. DO NOT GET THIS FOR YOUR SCHOOL
A lot of people have left negative reviews, but I would ask teachers to give ALEKS a chance. It can be boring for students, but I think that is just because of the amount of material. ALEKS can reinforce things taught in class, and I personally like how each math topic is taught, then tested with two or three questions so the student can move on easily. It's not for everyone, but it can be a useful teaching tool.
My school assigns a certain number of topics per week or month, and this can be very stressful. It's best to use ALEKS if you want to give students an extra review, and not to teach new topics. ALEKS is a commitment for a classroom but overall beneficial

Why do you think that this is ok? It's not ok. It doesn't teach you anything about math and is all about memorization. They make you answer 3-5 questions and then they think that you know all about the topic. The worst thing is I don't even have a math teacher that teaches us this stuff. He expects us to do 10 topics a week and if we dont then thats our grade. Nobody every gets them done and that becuase HE DOESNT TEACH US HOW TO DO ANY OF IT. Its all fin for yourself to bad if you dont know how. Thats now even the worst part the worst part is that its so stressful. Especially when you are working on your topics and the na knowledge check pops up and you do it then it takes all of your hard earn topics away! Its a waste of time and there is really no reason to do aleks. This will be the death of every single student using this website. I dont care how much they think that this website helps it seriously sucks and all the teacher recommend just to torture us. The only teachers that make their students use this site are the taechers who are lazy bums sweat through their armpits when doing nothing and sit at their desk eating peanut butter from the jar using their fingers (my teacher). If you dont know the struggle of doing one single aleks topic i recommend trying to do so. I bet you will have nightmares of aleks. In conclusion Aleks is the worst website in the entire UNIVERSE and if you like this website you have to be crazy on drugs or just under mind control. I will never recommend this site not even to my worst enemy. Just remember me when you have to do this webisite. Dont forget me. Ever.
The human body can not physically and mentally survive on Aleks for more than 1 minute. Literal hell. As a wise man once said, "I fear no man. But that thing... (Aleks). It scares me."
It's not good. I would leave it at that, but I have to put in a certain amount of letters. That makes sense, some people want depth in reviews, reason to them. But I can sum up my entire experience with Aleks in one sentence.
I'm a boy and Aleks stressed me out so badly that it made me have to wear a tampon, ever since I first started trying ALEKS I've gone mentally insane and started wearing little girls dresses and dancing around in my underwear
It's a horrible math class. It's better if the professor get up and tech. I know people that had to retake it up to four times. Have to get rid of it!
The only difference is that i'd rather have satan eat my brain in hell. There is no point to this program and it makes me feel such infinite sadness i'd sooner kill myself then do ALEKS for my entire life. I say it's a fate worse than death.
It's hard to work with the nonstop crap it throws. Just a topic and work thru it. Not any knowledge checks to set you back.

The problem with Aleks is that it does not teach you anything at all about why you are doing what you are doing. Let me give you an example... Let say I am your teacher. I give you a big map of the United States and then instruct you to put one apple on Delaware, then 16 apples on Tennessee, then 28 apples on Texas, and I keep have you putting on a different number or apples on each state. When you ask me "teacher why am I putting all these apples on the different states? I then tell you "because that is the rules." A few days later I tell you "now I want you to put apples on the different states just like you did a few days ago, only this time from memory." Now IF I had I told you a few days ago that the number of apples you are putting on each state represents the order in which each state became a state. WELLLLL that would make it a bit easier... because now you know why you are putting a different amount of apples on each state, what those apples represent, etc. Aleks works much the same way. It give you lots of math rules to follow, but without explanation as to what the rules are for, what they mean and what they represent... instead you just memorizing a ton of rules. I have to agree with the bulk of the other reviews, Aleks is horrible, thanks so much to the College of Southern Nevada for picking this pile of garbage as the way to "learn" rather then having professors that teach this in class.
I wish aleks' dad was as smart as his son and would have worn a condom or at least pulled out. Plz die thanks. Word on the street is Aleks did 9/11.
