Let me jsut start off by saying aleks has to be one of the worst websites for education. I don't know if there was some lead in the air or somethin when they designed this website. But no one with one brain cell would call this a good website. Hell ive almost put a chunk of lead into my head because of aleks. I also have no clue what the $#*! the school was smoking when they though that aleks was a good idea, but $#*! give me some of that. I have never heard anyone say that they enjoy or learned anything from aleks

Aleks made my school life terrible. Aleks does a horrible job of explaining how to solve math equations. As a student currently, it would be outstanding to remove Aleks from the schools. As a student in the advanced middle school courses, math is already stressful enough, covering standards for this year, and next year, and pre algebra. It would benefit everything to implement a more basic math learning system. In the photo below, that says 50% took me awhile to complete. We have limited time,and Aleks only gives you 1 percent for every 3 topics.

I wanted to die. I almost destroyed my iMac Pro with my face. You will die. ALEKS is the perfect way to turn your students into psychotic evil, wicked demons and make them jump off 1,000ft bridges cuz that's less stressful than ALEKS. You learn Nothing! Every student feels like smashing the creator of ALEKS by shoving a bazooka up his butt cheeks and blowing him into outer space and torturing him in the process. It is easier to wrestle 500 million lions than to finish topics on ALEKS.

This program makes me want to skydive without a parachute. This is an absolute menace to society. I would rather have an $#*! ripped into two them participate in this program. It made me depressed, gave me Down syndrome, and made me an Aussie twink. I would rather be shoved into a woodchipper than do this anymore. I am at the point of slaughtering my own ballsack off. This app gave me more dementia than Joe Biden. This app mentally disabled me. It took all my data and sold it to China. It gave me terminal cancer. I would rather shove a sack of rocks up my $#*! than do this any longer. I hope whoever made this god awful program falls in a ditch.

I cannot express how disappointed I am with the ALEKS math learning program. It claims to be an effective tool for mastering math concepts, but my experience has been nothing short of aggravating.

The most infuriating aspect of ALEKS is its incessant and seemingly pointless "knowledge checks." These checks are not only frequent but also cannot be overridden, forcing users to endure them even when they are trying to focus on graded homework activities. Spending hours on these mind-numbing checks is a complete waste of time, and it feels like the program is more interested in testing my patience than actually helping me learn.

What's worse is that the knowledge checks are entirely random, making it impossible to predict when they will occur or what topics they will cover. This randomness adds an unnecessary level of stress, as you never know when you'll be pulled away from productive learning to answer questions that may be completely unrelated to your current focus.

The claim that these knowledge checks somehow enhance learning or improve material retention is utterly baseless. In reality, they only serve to frustrate users and create an environment where memorization of facts takes precedence over a genuine understanding of the material.

Additionally, the lack of flexibility in the program's structure is maddening. Users should have the option to prioritize graded homework activities over mindless knowledge checks, especially when they are trying to meet deadlines or focus on specific topics. ALEKS's rigid approach severely hampers the learning experience and does little to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of its users.

ALEKS has proven to be a hindrance rather than a helpful tool in anyone's math learning journey. The excessive and intrusive knowledge checks, coupled with their random nature, do not contribute to a positive or effective learning environment. I would strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time on a platform that prioritizes frustration over genuine educational progress.

ALEKS is a very bad way to help your children/students learn math. They usually give you confusing problems, and students can be stuck on one topic forever because you have to get three correct in a row or it will keep taking points from you every time you get one wrong.
It also doesn't explain clearly what you got wrong, it just says Try Again. It gives students a lot of depression and anxiety and makes them dislike homework and math itself. I believe ALEKS somewhat gives you math knowledge, but plan on helping your kid with half of the topics. I don't believe the money is worth it at all.

Normal review; very boring and repetitive makes learning a chore and a bore quizzes suck cant see wrong answers until the end and then I have to restart the@%#$%^ quiz if I got one wrong!?

Professional review; The learning experience called Aleks is mundane and monotonous, with repetitive content that has made Aleks a chore. Additionally, the quizzes have not been engaging, as it is impossible to view incorrect answers until the end of the assessment. This has led to frustration, as it requires you to restart the quiz if a mistake is made.

I used ALEKS for two years of my Chemistry courses. Everytime I spend like 10 minutes working through one question and got marked down and the bar pushing backwards and asking me to do TWO MORE of the same question just because I used 16.5 instead of 16.6 in its answer. I got so frustrated with this stuff and everytime I tried to work through it calmly and peacefully I just got mental breakdown by its bars and bars and increased numbers of bars when I get super messed up. I never felt to be encouraged using this website or wanted to learn something truthfully. Everytime I just felt my time got wasted and I just wanted to end my suffering as soon as possible even though I might not learn anything from this

Very poor explanations and repetitive questions. The way that it takes points away for wrong answers is not helpful considering how particular it requires the answers to be. The explanations make the questions harder to understand and often don't help with other types of questions in the same set. ALEKS makes a simple 20 min homework assignment take hours.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Aleks is horrible and the most frustrating platform I have encountered. I spent hours completing topics, just for it to lock me out and force me to do them all again in order to receive credit. Absolute garbage.

My honest review has to be the fact that, when you work so hard on the first question out of 5 (1/5) you go on to the next question, but if you made a little mistake or error, it tends to delete all the progress that you did for the first question. So basically i wasted my time and effort working on a question, only for it to be deleted after i got the second one wrong, its the most stupidest thing that i have ever seen, honestly please make it so that way if you get the second question wrong, that it wont delete your progress on the previous question, thanks.

My daughter struggles Learning and this app does not explain how to do it the problem and my daughter started crying because she couldn't finish her 8 topics and it wasn't her fault because she added a space A SPACE. And the knowledge check does not help it's really stressful and her grade went from a A to a C after aleks so horrible!

I hate Aleks with everything. It sucks. As a student, we are given a certain amount of lessons and we are expected to do them. But when a freaking knowledge check comes we are forced to do that and finish our lessons later. But we get a $#*!ing grade for this and I got a zero because of this

I was stuck on a problem, so I clicked on the example box, but the example was not at all similar to the problem, hardly even related! There have also been several times when you cannot type a mixed number, only a fraction. ALEKS pretty much sucks!

I don't even learn with it i don't even try to understand i dont i have the time to do my fricking module and i just feel like a robot who learn answers by automatisms not by understanding them

I would give this program a negative out of 10 if that were possible. It takes students 8 hours to do 5 topics, the explanations are a joke, the formatting is garbage, and worst of all it punishes students for getting any question wrong because not only do you not get that point but it rips past points away from you forcing you to re-due all of the hard work you put in with zero benefit. Instead of encouraging learning, I am instead googling all the answers praying that I do not accidentally spell a word wrong, forget a parentheses, or a goddamn space;

Not to mention that it took me 5 goddamn seconds to find these reviews on how "good" the site is at doing it's job (which it isn't) so I am not really sure why this site is still being used by educators.

Well it needs to stop, if you are an educator, DO NOT ADD THIS PROGRAM TO YOU CURRICULUM! It does not help me expand my mind on any of this material, if anything I feel I have lost brain cells slamming my head against my desk. There are many great tools out there to help students learn, this is NOT one of them. And for those educators who don't care and just want something convenient and easy for YOU, than I hope you are rich because you will need to be in order to pay for all the therapy bills ALEKS will bring to your students.

This app is hell on earth, it doesnt even teach you the questions, all it does is thorw you right in, and if you get one wrong, you lose everything. DONT USE THIS APP UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF/

I have used aleks for way too long and it is one of the most stressful things I have ever used in my life! The way the placement test is one of the most confusing things in my life.

After I use this app every day i want to pour bleach in my eyes and rip them out and then jump into a bullet ant pit and then peel all of my natural fingernails off. It brings sadness and anger out of everyone. The ALEKS developerss should delete the app from existence and then kill themselves. I want to tie a noose if this doesn't work then I will light myself ablaze. God $#*!ing dammit. I want to kill people after this. (The murder part is not real, but it is the worst app ever, don't buy it) THANKS, ALEKS!
