I HATE ALEKS SOOOOOO MUCH. DO NOT SWEAR AT ALL BUT ALEKS MADE ME SAY THINGS I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER SAY! I HOPE WHO EVER GREATER LOOK INTO FIXING SOME OF ITS TRUSH
ALEKS IS SO!@#$%^& SPECIFIC THAT IF YOU ENTER THE PROBLEM IN A WAY THAT WOULD NORMALLY WORK BUT IS NOT THE WAY THE LAZY DEVELOPERS PUT IN THE VERY ENCRYPTED CODE YOUR!@#$%^
I'm a BIO major, so I'm not an idiot, yet this site makes me question that. I've been forced to use ALEKS far too much in my life. I'm so over it. Same problems, over and over and over again without a clear explanation. I have to YouTube everything. ALEKS will take a whole page to explain something, and I don't understand anything. Then I search it in YouTube and I get it in 30 seconds. So I guess YouTube can thank ALEKS for all of it's math traffic. It's too bad math professors at a university (name withheld) are too lazy to actually teach. They just rely on this math robot to do their work. Not worth the time and insane amount of effort. Aleks has literally become my second job, requiring 18+ hours a week. Yet I cannot hit the topic goals because I spend an hour or more on each topic.
Screw you ALEKS! This app is one of the reasons I wanna stay i bed when I wake up. F*ck you! Making my damn life a living hell jesus christ.
Aleks literally piles you with work and punishes you with more work reviewing topics you already covered and if you do happen to get a few wrong in the periodic review knowledge checks you get even more review work. Along with all the homework already assigned. Idk ab anyone else but I don't have time to spend 5 hours on aleks for 1 classes homework compared to 2 hour doing 5 classes of homework. Overall just a terrible money grab designed to make professors work less and students pay more.
My child attends sandridge school and they use this app. Its laggy and it gets wrong even if your answer is right. It gives confusing explainations. And its not right. Its not accurate. It takes three whole mins just to get to the homescreen. I have never gotten this problem with prodigy. I recommend you let your child play that instead of aleks. It has stupid controls. Everyt time my child tries to click check, she clicks enter. I recomennd that you make sure that your child does not play this app. Because you dont learn anything because all of your right answers are 'wrong' so again, play prodigy instead of aleks. Your child is sure to learn something with that.
This site is often wrong, and takes forever to load. And as for the assignments, they are $#*!craft. It takes about 2 minutes to load between questions, and you can't use a calculator, even when you should. And you often have to use scratch paper on most of them, and it takes a while to copy the problems down. It took 3 hours to do one 22 question assignment! And, instead of AI, it has AUI, Artificial Un-Intelligence. It is just a waste of school's money, which could be used toward an actually good math program.
It is dog$#*! it doesn't help u learn it gets u wrong on every question u get right and when I check the explanation I had the same answer.
Imagine you are a college student. You want to go out with the boys but you have Aleks due that night. No big deal, you are pretty good at Math and it in reality shouldn't take longer than 40 minutes to cover around 8 topics. You open your Aleks to do your homework and BOOM you have a random knowledge check to do. Annoyed, you take the knowledge check getting most of the problems right until you you get bored and just don't answer the last few. Over an hour has now passed, but at least you can do your homework now. You are about to finish a topic that gave out moderately difficult questions with little to no assistance in solving them. All you need to do is get one more question right. You answer it to the best of your ability. INCORRECT. Frustrated, you realize the stupid AI accidentally made you place an unnecessary comma. You delete the comma and submit it again. INCORRECT. You look at the correct answer and realize it is exactly what you put, but the AI is too stupid to realize you got the answer right. The question has reset all your previous work and now you need to get three of these annoying questions right all over again, and this is only your first topic. Annoyed, you chug a beer, find any website online that you can write a review, and rant about how bad Aleks is. Seriously it's the worst, and I don't even struggle in math. I can't imagine the pain I would be in if I didn't understand the material, because Aleks doesn't teach anything, and most teachers who use Aleks are even more worthless. I'm sorry if you have to suffer from this modern day torture device.
Because of aleks, i sprayed bleach on my face, even though i did that without thinking, i just want to blame it on something, and not admit to how $#*!ed i am. BUT... i don't have cancer now, even though i never have had cancer, now i'm just one of those people who don't care if they get the fricking coronavirus
I just tried to work thru a college prep course on Aleks. Long story short, this is unethical. I signed up to get math assistance from a human being who can understand how a freaking human brain works. We don't all learn in the same way nor at the same speed. Aleks is in my opinion a waste of a school's money and resources. Students need to learn from a human being when it involves math.
Aleks is the most $#*!ed up thing on the plane. Its the cause of the cronavirus, so stay away. If you want to live a good life stay a way from this piece of bull$#*!.
ALEKS IS ABSOLUTE TRASH I HATE IT ITS DUMB. Its so stupid dont waste your money on this trash website it maade me cry so many times and it takes so long to do and then it gives you a knowledge check. Aleks has given me so many break downs i want to throw my computer out of the window while im doing aleks. DO NOT GET THIS APP
I would rather be in the middle of $#*! Ing skunkland than be doing Aleks. This $#*! Of a site makes you do so much $#*! Ing math work and just when you get something done, a $#*! Ing knowledge check $#*! S in your mouth and you have to do all of the math again just for another knowledge check to $#*! In your face again. Nobody wants to be agitated by a $#*! Ing math site, especially one that constantly $#*! S in your mouth. So if I were you, I wouldn't want to be $#*! In the mouth now, would you? So go $#*! Aleks!
This website should not be used for assigning homework. Students have a hard time completing homework, and it can be time-consuming. Students will have a hard time being able to study properly; my suggestion is to find a different website for assigning homework for students.
ALEKS sucks. That is on period. When I entered an answer, it says it was wrong even though on the explanation, my answer was the same. Get a life.
Being a hard-sciences major, I was forced to do "8" hours of ALEKS topics per week. That number is realistically around 15 hours, given that sometimes it can take a full hour to get one topic correct and I was usually assigned 10-16 topics per week, in addition to my other 4-credit classes. The worst part about ALEKS is if you are off by a thousandth of a decimal place or anything similar, it will take away one of 5 of your progress bars for each topic. Oh but if you get two problems correct in a row, you get a double bar filled, so 2 for 1! But if you mess up the third time, it just takes away what you've spent more than 30+ minutes to gain. What is the point of giving me question after question on a topic that you can't even explain if I press the "Explanation" button? I worked so damn hard to get one stupid progress bar, and then it brings me all the way down or even locks me out after a certain number of attempts. My grade right now is at a D, thanks to ALEKS, considering my Gen Chem professor bases 50% of our grade on ALEKS alone. $#*! you, ALEKS. And don't even get me mentioned on Objective Knowledge Checks. These "checks" take 2 hours to complete, and even if you're damn sure you got 90% of the questions right, it brings your pie progress down 10-15% and now you have to redo 40+ topics just to catch up again. This is so detrimental to both my GPA and my self-esteem, as I know these concepts are easier to understand and way less frustrating and complicated than ALEKS makes them out to be. But I need to get them done in order to barely pass the class, and I'm only a freshman. $#*! you ALEKS.
Whenever my teacher can't hep me with a problem at that moment, i try to figure out how to do it by looking at the explanation. Sometimes i understand it and sometimes i don't, which can be a little frustrating, but what turns on my fury the most is when they show you how to do the problem on the explanation and they give you a complete different problem that you solve in a complete different way. Like come on ALEKS! Show me how to do the Mother f***ing problem so i don't brake my computer! I hope all of you who are reading this review are ALEKS workers and can learn how to fix your frickin website! Good day to my fellow students and not to the teachers who make us do this!

Where do i start. The creator of ALEKS is literally the reincarnation of adolf hitler. This website makes me want to travel to Auschwitz and snort the ashes. Because of ALEKS, i cant clean my clothes because i drank all the laundry detergent. If you are a math teacher reading this, do the smart choice and teach in person, not with the $#*! attack called ALEKS. Aleks is responsible for all the 800,000 deaths by suicide each year. Thank you for considering my review.
Answer: Because the ALEKS program is literal hell and we people are just showing our hatred for it
Answer: Most likely.
Answer: Yes deal with it
Answer: Because people want to commit suicide in an original way, and ALEKS is the best way.
Answer: I don't think so but believe me a class action suit would be an improvement
Answer: I paid over $150 for this sumbi**h, I expect it to work
Answer: No i do not think the website owner has issued one but I think the feelings for aleks would be "down the toilet"
Answer: I realize this reply is very late but in case for anyone who needs it: -Let's say you're learning how to use long division. They have 3 questions in it. You master the first one, then go on to the next one. You get the second one wrong, guess what? They punish you and take back your first answer so now you have to answer it again. -How fun! And don't forget the useless knowledge checks!
